Are Sinkies lepers?

Gilbert Goh of Transitioning.org has written another letter copied to Tan Chuan Jin on job discrimination against Sinkies. This time the offending online advertisement is from a company called Cotton on Group.

The offending advert states ‘To be considered for this position you are required to be a Malaysian Citizen or Permanent Resident.’

Why are these foreigners doing this so blatantly, not to recruit Sinkies? At one point some were complaining that the Sinkie men’s reservist training could be a liability. What about Sinkie women? They don’t do NS, no reservist liabilities. Are Sinkies lepers, to be voided at all cost. Employ anyone, anything, except a Sinkie. And do this in the home country of Sinkies to slap them in broad daylight. Sinkies would not fight back, would not do anything.

Would the Sinkie govt do anything to protect the Sinkies? You asking me?

At least 60% Sinkies still have jobs with decent wages and also satisfied with their jobs. So this advert may not concern them.

Anyway what is the salary for this advertised job? And what is the job? If it is low pay, dirty, difficult and dangerous, no Sinkie would also want to take up the job. Only Malaysians and foreigners would, because it becomes more than double or even more if convert back to their home currency.

So the advert is good in telling Sinkies not to waste their time applying for such jobs.

if u are the employing company:

will u employ a male applicant who has to serve military liability for about 30 days (?) a year until age of 45 or 50 years

to further this problem; if this obligation is a quarterly affairs of seven days each .... will it affect the company effective operation?

more .... ippt, recalls and whatever shit they are called

will the govt give a fuck to the company survival?

knnccb .... what the choice??

What is the job for that offending advert? Where is the job based? Not mentioned at all by Gilbert. The website link given by Gilbert has a list of jobs in various countries.

If it is in Malaysia, of course recruit Malaysians or PRs lah.

The SGX found a Sinkie as a scapegoat for the recent sharp falls and big losses in penny stocks.

They should have sacked the person that is destroying the whole stock market.

And Sinkies believe that the Acting Minister will be able to help?

Sinkies wilk be lucky if the Acting Minister does not find more reasons to justify the needs for more foreigner workers.

Singapore just topped the list, after Switzerland for nurturing talents. Singapore is nurturing more than a million foreign talents who may not have a chance to work overseas. We are the biggest trainer of world talents.

Singapore is also nurturing higher quality taxi drivers with degrees and management experience, all Sinkies.

RB, u complained so much later government open up the taxi industry to FT, then lagi worst so as to dilute the qualification. U tell me lar u still want to kpkb on this or not.

Gintai_昇泰 said...

Thus far only taxi vocational license is strictly for citizens only. Not even for PRs. All other industries are penetrated by foreigners. Even the auxiliary police where they carry arms and guard vital installations like checkpoints and seaports or power utility stations are penetrated by foreigners. It seems that this country is over run with foreigners. We are now strangers in our land of birth. The advertisement quoted by RB is one classic example that the elected government is not doing enug to protect and safeguard the rights of the citizens. It's so blatant. This is not the first and only case so far. Ppl like Gilbert exposes such malpractices in our country. If only the government could just whack those recalcitrant companies properly then the others will wake up a bit. Sadly the government doesn't seem to bother at all so long as they make money and pay taxes.

Instead of whacking the foreigners, gilbert might get the whack. So ironical, so silly, so sad.

Job discrimination against Singaporeans
---------------
Is it fair to say that if the PAP gahmen is serious about solving the problem, they would have appointed a Senior Minister to spearhead the hunt for a solution.
And not just a mere Acting Minister.

What do you think?

Anonymous said...

'gilbert might get the whack.'

No la!

Sinkies believe the Acting MOM Minister will right the wrongs.

Let us pray pray that he(TCJ) will do justice to locals.

Chuan Jin is the best hope for Sinkies. He has the cut to be the next PM. Give him time and room to grow.

I will vote Opposition and pray for salvation through parliamentary democracy.

Parliamentary democracy is a lot older than Chuan Jin.
It's a more experienced and robustly tested system than Chuan Jin.

Chua Chin Leng aka redbean said...

We have to work within the system. For now until the next GE, Chuan Jin is holding the cards, the power to act.

You are not suggesting doing the Thais to run the streets or doing the Pinoys and cheat the system now right?

Come 2016, that will be a different ball game.

Hi Anon @9.27am

Now Kirsten Han called for a Nat Con on NS.

Recently, Big nose and his Kia kias Paper General Chan also wants to have more professional soldiers.

Think, they knew time to come, male Singaporeans past and present are going to resist the call up of NS by throwing them out in GE 2016.

haha.
Singaporeans can't even do a Gilbert Goh at Hong Lim Park.
never mind about running loose on the streets.

Why soldier boys get to be ministers and not policeman?

Rb for some mysterious reason, seems to have much faith in one soldier boy, like the PAP.
PAP got to have soldier boys for one very important reason and that is; ONLY SOLDIER BOYS WILL TAKE ORDERS AND INSTRUCTIONS LIKE DOGGIES.

Chua Chin Leng aka redbean said...

They are counting on the soldiers and police to take orders. These boys are no longer the dumb soldiers of the past and can think and have a mind of their own. And they belong to the rebellious younger generations.

How would they react in a national crisis? To protect country, citizens or party? No one knows the answer. Some may think they know.

Gintai, get your facts right, i sat in a cab driven by a PR, he spoke in mandrain and kept on asking me for direction, only when i got frustrated did he say he was a PR, if hes lying, good for you......but how freaking sure are you, send me your e-mail, or send rb your e-mail, i'll gladly sent you the can no.

Something quite funny.
So many generals(ex) in the cabinet, only one or two ex ns policemen.
Ministers abode guarded by Gurkhas but not locals(police/soldier).
Why huh?

Anonymous said...

Level of trust. Level 1, gurkhas. Level 2, FTs, Level 3, soldiers, Level 4, police, Level 5, Don't know.

Anonymous said...

Walau eh, locals will gossip gossip
then what they do in private will become public. Very dangerous le.

Anonymous said...

Blame it on NS! On annual im-camp call-up. Pure and simple.

Anonymous said...

The people who guard your home and family are the people you really trust. Tio bo?

Do PAP Ministers use Gurkha guards to protect their homes?
If yes, then what does this tell you?

"Walau eh, locals will gossip gossip
then what they do in private will become public. Very dangerous le."

If you are not doing anything wrong, then why so scared?

Anonymous said...

Simple lah, gurkhas are blindly loyal but most importantly they do not understand most of the local languages, even ingrish or singlish. Therefore gurkhas will not know what's going on and they cant and wont tell things they do not understand. Another important thing is gurkhas do not mix with locals.

Ministers have many state secrets and very important informations.
Citizens must understand that they are no ordinary people.

My facts are correct. Go to LTA to check the requirements of driving a taxi. That PRC must be a new citizen. If he told you that he's PR then he's lying to you. You have fallen into his trap of trying to incense you! Go ask around if you still not convinced. Better still call up LTA to ask yourself. As simple as that. No need to argue.

Right Anon at 2.49

Also, Gurkha obey orders without asking why and they stand guard at Mas Selamat's toilet door for half an hour before they rushed down to ask the local chief what to do now.

This guy pee so long. Suffers urinary problems or what??

So long still have not come out. I am supposed just to guard outside. I cannot open door to check. This will be insubordination and I scared kena charged.

So when they guard the Ministers with orders to guard just outside their offices and when the assassins already do their jobs inside, they will also not go in.

That's the beauty of the Gurkha guards.

Last time when I was at Mt Vernon Camp with the Gurkha guards at outer gates before our second gates as it is a Weapons Base. Two layer of security.

At that time still have the White Superintendent families staying over there at Mt Vernon Camp bungalows.

Their children, as usual Ang Mo kias very naughty ones fiddled with the Gurkha guard Welby revolver and Kuri, luckily still in their sheaths by pulling them up and down.

That dumb Gurkha guard just simply stood there like a statue grimacing no know what to do.

We shouted at them and they ran away. Dared to complain meh?? Throw inside detention barrack then you know.
