If only all cases are solved as fast and effectively. Though there were many arrests of drug cases, to date there was no arrest of drug lords.
There were also many cases of missing person and murder cases.

Wow, better than CSI LA, Miami, NY. How come they did not get our super cops to solve the MH370 case. Waste of talents leh!

Part 1 the culprits are caught & arrested. Part 2 is who is in charge of the block and whether any negligent in not locking the rooftop? And what action to be taken, too.

They would have boasted their exploits to their friends. Then someone pechah lobang. Young guys love to boast about their "conquests", that's the way they are. Can't change human nature.

When I was 17 I also used to boast lah. If I korek a girl, I'd let my friends smell my finger :-)

You have to understand that the youths broke the law -- the vandalism law, which in Singapore is no fucking joke. It is now up to the courts -- it's not a police matter any longer.

From CNA website:
>> The five are set to be charged with vandalism. A person convicted of the offence could be jailed up to three years or fined up to S$2,000, and shall also be punished with at least three strokes of the cane. <<

Several years ago young protesters broke into The Lodge in Canberra. I forget the reason. The Lodge is where the Aussie PM stays when he's performing state duties of his/ her office. They were caught by the Federal Police. The judge threw out the case citing that since no real harm was done, this kind of protest was to be tolerated as part of Australia's colourful political culture.

If the youths get enough public sympathy, the courts may go easy on them. If the courts are too harsh, that has a very good chance of BACKFIRING thus building up more anti-PAP sentiment.

If the PAP is smart, they will ask the court to go easy on these guys.

Afterall, they are still kids having a bit of a lark. What harm have they done, really? How easy was it to clean up some red paint -- probably no more than one or two thousand dollars at the very most.

However, the judicial system in Singapore is independent and apolitical....right? ;-)

You see, no alcohol in Little India and they do mischief on rooftops after getting drunk.

But, I am sure no security breach lah! And being PAP ward, no heads will roll lah!Everything is under control.

If opposition ward, very serious issue lah!

This little red dot is extensively wired. There is camera every where and face recognition sofe ware is used by Police.
No problem catching the culprit.
Wonder what sort of sentence would be meted out to the 17 yrs old.

I wonder whether there is any foul play when the police is not known to be efficient and effective and our youths are the goody nerdy ones. Probably this episode will be an excuse to close down all internet forums under the heading "to protect our youths to read the right thing" especially when the old man is dying and a GE will be in due course.

Anarchy will follow after this?

No, I am a charming and witty fellow, never had problems "getting" women. I have 2 divorces to prove it :-)

Prostitution (thankfully legal and controlled in Singapore) simply widens one's options, and has distinct advantages : you can just "fuck-and-chuck" and be guilt free with no further liability. You can have wild dirty sex, for the simple objective of having wild dirty sex, empty your bags all over the gal, and just continue on with your life without fear nor regret.

Another feature of commercial sex is that you can punch above your weight. Very few of us are fortunate to have good genes which allow us to age and maintain our "youthful good looks". However, we still retain the desire to bang gorgeous women, and to have them give us a GFE (Girlfriend Experience) -- no need to be ashamed, it is simply BIOLOGICAL.

Thankfully the (reasonably) free marketplace supplies all sorts of goods and services to have our whims and fantasies fulfilled. If you like fine wine or a Cuban cigar, or a flash car or to be dressed like a movie star, the good ol' marketplace will provide. You just have to pay. So why not sex? Feel horny and want to fuck a gal who looks like a centerfold? Just fork out the dough, and soon you will be smiling ;-)

>> you probably stuck that finger in your own ass and let your friend smell it.

Guilty as charged. Yes, I've played that joke before. It is hilarious!

After what happened to the India riot which is many times more serious, they would have to be careful not to be overly harsh with these boys. At least they are not as violent as the rioters and definitely much nicer. And very likely they are our children.

You have to understand that the youths broke the law -- the vandalism law, which in Singapore is no fucking joke. It is now up to the courts -- it's not a police matter any longer. ///

And why is it no fucking joke? All because of politics - the power that be want to win at all costs.

The vandalism act is defined so broadly that it covers practically everything under the sun:

ection 2 of the Vandalism Act defines an act of vandalism as:

(a) without the written authority of an authorised officer or representative of the Government or of the government of any Commonwealth or foreign country or of any statutory body or authority or of any armed force lawfully present in Singapore in the case of public property, or without the written consent of the owner or occupier in the case of private property —
(i) writing, drawing, painting, marking or inscribing on any public property or private property any word, slogan, caricature, drawing, mark, symbol or other thing;
(ii) affixing, posting up or displaying on any public property or private property any poster, placard, advertisement, bill, notice, paper or other document;[10] or
(iii) hanging, suspending, hoisting, affixing or displaying on or from any public property or private property any flag, bunting, standard, banner or the like with any word, slogan, caricature, drawing, mark, symbol or other thing; or
(b) stealing, destroying or damaging any public property.
Public property means movable or immovable property owned by the Government of Singapore, the government of any Commonwealth or foreign country, any statutory body or authority, or any armed force lawfully present in Singapore.

It is not just about destroying or damaging properties. It is really targeted at political message. It came about because the Barisan and other opposition used to paint political messages in public areas.

@The:

"Win", the operative word. I think the level of public sympathy for these guys is high -- I have no direct evidence for this, only a sense I get from conversations and observation. Then again there are those who die-die will hope the courts follow the letter of the law and have these 5 kids caned, fined and jailed.

So if the courts are too extreme -- that might raise the level of public sympathy and the PAP will LOSE. But if the public wants these kids punished, then hammering them with punishment will win "sympathy" for the PAP. I personally doubt this is the case, but I could be wrong.

Let's see what the court says.

@730:

>> you forget to mention that being able to sleep with thousands of mei meis of different nationality is an achievement not everyone can has.

Err.. not even me. I have to work hard for my supply of pussy or I don't get any. :-(((

Suffice it to say that all of us like sex and probably want more even if we have "enough". Sexual motivation is BIOLOGICAL as made clear and easily understood by Richard Dawkins in "The Selfish Gene".

For the average heterosexual guy (I'm focusing on hetros because they are the majority) pussy doesn't fall out of the sky like rain such that we can just screw any place anytime. Like every other human "value", getting sex requires the cunt-hunter to use and direct real resources toward specific objectives, using strategic and tactical methods to get the fucking job done.

Whether the woman is attracted to you because of money, 6-pack abs or your endless supply of humour and jokes or whatever reasons I can't even imagine...you still have to put in time, effort and CONSUME/ INVEST real resources -- which means you have to make trade-offs: for e.g. You can't spend time with your wife and kids because you're out gallivanting with other women; you might have to spend your CPF money thus neglecting your future needs; you might have to learn social skills or overcome shyness...and so on.

Although once in awhile you may get lucky, there's no such thing as "free pussy". ;-)
