Foreigners can buy HDB shops

I just found this from the HDB website.

Q: 01 Are foreigners allowed to purchase HDB shops?
[ Commercial Tenants & Lessees > Managing Your Sold Shop ]

A: HDB has no objection to the purchase of the shops by foreigners who are above 21 years of age and are not an undischarged bankrupt.

Foreigners who want to speculate on Singapore properties can go and buy HDB shops. No need to buy residential flats.

Dunno got find prints and any other conditions? Or this is it?

Another (welcome) sign that the state-run HDB system is changing toward more "free market" ideas.

Speculators bring vibrancy and liquidity to any market.

Private ownership means FREEDOM. No barriers to entry in a market means FREEDOM. More freedom, the better.

This country is lost. No one has any idea of a nation any more. Just $$$

Soon foreigners will be owners and Sinkies will be tenants. Without foreign speculators prices of HDB stalls & shops are already hot and now with foreigners coming into the fray don't know where it will all end up. No wonder prices of hawker food and other goods at HDB stalls keep rising and rising.

Singaporeans are simply so lucky. The foreigners came to work for them, buy their shops and properties. Singaporeans can all retire and collect money from the foreigners without having to work.

Why are Singaporeans complaining about foreigners? They should be grateful to foreigners for doing their jobs and contributing to their economy.
