Universiti Malaya 246th place!

The Times London Higher Education Survey listed Universiti Malaya at 246th, dropping 54 places. It is out of the top 200 universities in the world. Though I do not place much value in such a survey except as a guide, to be at 246th is a bit far off on any count. Given its western biased and artificiality, the survey is good only as a guide for students to know whether an university is respectable. Being in the top 50 or 100 should be a decent standing.

At the risk of being labelled a "racist" again... aw what the heck, label away...

"Universiti Malaya 246th place!"

?? Huh?? Whay the surprise?

Almost everyone knows that in-breeding produces less intelligent off-spring.

this is a case of political policies to generate graduates in numbers with no considerations to the quality.

The Malay Malaya students can be admitted even if English illiterate. So how do they do their homework? Off the Internet.

One hope that one will never require emergency medical treatment in Malaysia, in case the examination and treatment procedure is carried out by one of these "bulk" graduate doctors.

I recall Dr M telling the doctors to palpitate when examining women patients.

He should have added, "Just imagine your patient is your teenage daughter or niece, and you are fondling her pert youthful breasts and saponaceous genitals"

Now that should motivate them ;-)

an institution of higher learning must be an institution of higher learning. if you want to churn out paper degrees and diplomas for the sake of that piece of paper, let the black market or some printing shops to do it.

once you undermine the credibility of an institution of higher learning, you undermine everyone in it and everyone coming out from it.

In Bumi culture, the term "higher learning" essentially means that you can graduate from the petty bullshit to being able to justify any means necessary to achieve specific ends. This is indeed as much an art as it is a science. You can observe this "higher learning skill" everytime the Malaysian govt deals with the S'pore govt.

As long as The Bumi "wins", lying, cheating, stealing, framing people, applying Sharia Law for purposes of control... all these odious paradigms of Bumi conduct and more are "OK".

And of course it is "OK". There is always a masjid (usually lavish) in the area—Bumi-Land is full of them—where one can go for total absolution, only to emerge from the holy cloisters cleansed and renewed, and therefore ready to do more lying, cheating and stealing, adding the bonus of Incest—The Sterling Bumi Family Value—thrown in for good measure.
