Fake degrees - Cheating or crime or Nevermind?

Times of India reported earlier this month that during a routine investigation of a fake degree case, the Indian police had uncovered a much bigger case of an Indian university selling tens of thousands of fake degrees to multitude of people (‘Manav Bharti University of Himachal Pradesh sold 36000 fake‘, 1 Feb)....

The 36,000 fake degrees issued by Manav Bharti University was said to be only the tip of an iceberg, as the number of fake degrees issued is known to be many more. The scam is likely to run into crores of rupees, said the investigation team.

Manav Bharti University graduates found working in Singapore

A cursory check on LinkedIn, a popular social media site for working professionals, revealed that there are already a number of graduates from Manav Bharti University working in Singapore:

It would certainly be good if Ms Teo could clarify the matter in Parliament so that local companies who have employed these Manav Bharti University graduates would have a peace of mind, knowing that the quality of their hires is not in dispute.

The above is part of an article in TOC. I think everything is fine. No need to check. All those already employed in Singapore companies can continue to work. The new mantra in Singapore is,'can work ok leow, no need degrees'. So these cheats definitely can work if they have been employed for so long. Nevermind, let them work. Using fake degree is not a crime. So also ok.  Ooops, my apologies, I also not sure you can call this cheating or a crime. Anyone can clarify on this?

Question, what is the point of having expensive world class universities here? For show only? For the stupid only? Why brag about our world class ranking?

Nowadays law also very difficult to understand. Very flexible, everything also very flexible. Got degree no degree does not matter. Who cares. Singapore is very innovative and up to date with market practices. Anything also can. No need standard anymore. No need degrees anymore. True or not?

What do you think? Would anything happen to these cheats? Remember the case in Infocomm Ministry?  Maybe they would catch a few and case close.  The problem is too big now, so no time and not enough resources to deal with it. Dunno how many more universities are involved and how many thousands are already in Singapore. But what is important is that they contributed to our economic growth, the more the merrier. These cheats must be laughing themselves crazy at the stupidity of Singapore. Sacked Singaporeans and replaced them with fakes.  And praising the fakes as talents.

PS. I know in the past faking degrees was a crime and people had gone to jail. Now looks like 'simi lan jiao' also can. Singapore must be the top destination for all the fakes from India to land a good job here. And our stupid PMETs still losing their jobs to the fakes without a clue what is going on.

And the imbeciles are soooo happy.

Is India conducting influence operations in Singapore?

200 Indian-origin people occupy leadership positions in 15 countries, 60 hold Cabinet ranks - IndiaToday

A list by US-based organisation working among the Indian diaspora said more than 200 Indian-origin people occupy leadership positions in 15 countries.

The 2021 Indiaspora Government Leaders List, which was released on Monday, had drawn from government websites and other publicly-available resources to prepare the report to showcase the achievements of the community leaders across different sectors.

It said that more than 200 leaders of Indian heritage have ascended to the highest echelons of public service in 15 countries across the globe, with over 60 of them holding Cabinet positions.

The list also includes diplomats, legislators, heads of central banks and senior civil servants from countries with significant histories of diaspora migration, such as Australia, Canada, Singapore , South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.

With more than 32 million people of Indian-origin or (PIOs) globally, according to India's Ministry of External Affairs, Indians are the largest diaspora population in the world.

The officials on the 2021 Indiaspora Government Leaders List collectively represent more than 587 million constituents, and their countries account for an estimated USD 28 trillion in GDP, demonstrating the impact these leaders are having globally, Indiaspora said in a statement.

"It truly is inspiring to note the remarkable contribution that government leaders of Indian heritage have made to advance the societies that they now represent.

"It is inspiring to see the number of Indian diaspora who are entering the public arena," said Indiaspora Board Member Arun Kumar, chairman and CEO at KPMG India, who served as Assistant Secretary of Commerce in the Obama administration.

When you have duds in the ministries, you have fakes in the country.

Even in the old days, they used to say 'Doing Indian Accounting' which is a suspicious phrase of disrepute. How it came about must be because of fake Indian Accountants from fake Indian Universities.

Then they also used to say 'Talking Indian Language' when someone is obviously telling lies or making up stories. How it came about must be because of their fork tongues.

Is this fake degree Indian University the only one doing it? I guess not.

I hope they are not also faking the low COVID19 infections and deaths that many believe is too low to be possible.

Indian fake degree mills have existed a long time ago. Such news comes and goes. It only resurfaces when they are discovered and talked about and some diggings are made. Otherwise, it is never mind.

God know how many such fake degree holders are in Government and big businesses, sitting at the very top.

But the imbeciles did not know....and keep on bringing them in to fill top positions.
Many imbeciles even worship them like gods.

Academic imbeciles copied their copied articles for their research papers.

There must be hundreds of thousands of them around. It is ok for the fools to remain as fools and willingly be fooled by these cheats. They can remain as fools forever, no one cares.

But when their stupidity caused Singaporeans to lose their jobs, hardships to families, eventually losing this country to them, it is criminal and cannot be forgiven.

Take a good look at the ministers. How many of them are faking their abilities and their talks?

When they landed with parachutes or enter using umbrellas, their abilities are theoretical at best.

How many that parachuted in have lasted? Some have lasted probably in order not to tarnish the reputation of the one that give them the parachute. One prominent parachutist from the armed forces just landed with his parachute in the dust in Sengkang.

Singapore has proven to the world that there is no need for a degree, fake degrees oso can, to rise to the top of an organisation, even in garment.

Singapore has also proven that a good, genuine degree from a world class universities may not be good enough to get a decent job.

Singapore has also proven that a cheat with a fake degree is more valuable than one with a good degree.

Singapore has also proven that one with a good real degree may be working for one with a fake degree and taking orders from the fake degree, suffering under the dictates of the fake degree.

Singapore has also proven that with fake degrees, one can go very far and very high.

All the paper generals cannot perform once outside the SAF. That means they have been incubated in a Sanforized environment protected by mentors, serving as guide and guarantors to ensure that by hook or by crook they climbed the ladder of success towards their level of incompetence. They got the rank of general not because of their real military prowess but because of their academic scores.

If one Indian University issuing 36,000 fake degrees is only the tip of the iceberg, think of how many Indian Universities are doing that and you will be aghast.

With the cost of a genuine degree from a reputable University going up like a rocket, this fake degree racket must be a goldmine for Indian Universities selling fake degrees.

But never mind. Ignorance is bliss!

Jail them long long long long if found with fake degrees!

Don't just talk talk!

Ministry for Manpower, but run by a woman with no power, suddenly wakes up after a long slumber in Swiss Standard Bed, and start to investigate 15 foreign trash who are alleged to possess fake degrees from India.

It is a joke that until now either they pretend not to know or don't want to know. This fake degrees from India is so well known since donkey years ago.

By now at least 15,000 such fake degrees must be floating in Singapore alone.

Not only foreigners from India but also local Singaporeans are possessing such fake degrees (or legitimate degrees from legitimate universities but obtained fraudulently, through someone sitting for the exams for them, or someone doing their thesis/desertation for them).

Probably fake degrees are only valuable and recognised in Red Dot and no where else. That is why they come by the planeloads.

Is this part of the CECA agreement that we must accept fake Indian degrees from Indian degree mills?

No, CECA is worse. CECA said no need to check qualifications for many cases. No degree also can come in. So no need fake degrees even.
