The USA and the West are using drug induced dreams of
taking over Russia. Even Afghanistan was already a handful and beyond
their ability to tame, not to talk of taking over the 'Graveyard of
Empires'. They thought Iraq was a piece of cake and therefore
Afghanistan should not be a problem. They calculated wrongly and ended
up in the graveyard which they yearned to take over, and looking really
stupid, running away and leaving tons of military hardware behind.
Even
tearing up China into pieces and using the eight nations together to
help control China failed to contain the Chinese at its weakest juncture
in history. They are today also crazy on drugs, trying to chase the
dragon that will reward them with fire and brimstone instead.
That
dream of taking control of Russia is just like a snake trying to
swallow an elephant. The USA and EU will be suffocated to death. And
suffocated they are now, without cheap energy and paying through their
noses for energy supplied by the USA and still discreetly buying Russian
oil under the table, trying to fool the rest of the world.
The
Japanese had such a dream of controlling all of Asia during WW2. Japan
miscalculated and overestimated its reach without the manpower and
resources to match. An army, no matter how powerful, spread over such a
wide expanse is bound to face big problems in controlling conquered
lands. In fact, the Japanese at the tail end of the war desperately
resorted to using prisoners to fight its war in Asia. That was why Japan
went on to commit so many atrocities all over Asia, with such animals
inducted into its military.

That is why the Japanese had to resort to massacre male prisoners, whether combatants or not, during their reign of terror in Asia, which will make their control of territories they seized easier to manage, when they were clearly overstretched in manpower. That was blatant war crimes clear and simple, but the Japanese Government today still refused to come to terms with it, though the Japanese Military leaders were convicted. They still worship their war criminals at the Yasukuni Shrine every year.
It is easier said than done to think of conquering or taking over Russia or China with such vast territories to control. Even breaking up China into small concessions to be governed by crony states failed to materialize during the last century when Chinese resistance won the day. They did that with Africa and colonized Africa for centuries.
The breakup of the Soviet Union, with Russia giving up control of its satellite states does give the West eventual control of such satellite states, but that was just a walk in the park for NATO. And they thought Ukraine was going to be another catwalk for them. With Russian intervention in Eastern Ukraine, nothing is as simple as just walking over and taking control.
Ukraine is finished and NATO is desperate, and Jens Stoltenburg is attempting to alarm the USA that losing Ukraine is a big threat to democracy. Stan Stoltenberg is uneasy now, knowing that Trump is going to win in November and may change the stance of the USA towards its support for NATO. Trump may just end the Ukraine War upon assuming office and this terrifies NATO. Trump gloated that he would end the war in Ukraine withing 24 hours and that terrified Zelensky. More so, now that NATO is in a weaker position than ever before against the Russians, with the EU economy in tatters. How is NATO vis a vis the EU going to confront the Russians without the support of Trump?
And that brings us to the question of who is desperate enough to try to assassinate Trump? The media is trying to muddy the waters with all kinds of conspiracy theories, among which are now the Iranian and Ukrainian connection. They have not yet gone far enough I think, with Russia and China probably also in their sights.
