Two more new clusters announced. One at a Tuition Centre (all foreign students) and another at a Pharmacy (all Philippinos).
At least 3 more schools have been infected, excluding those six announced earlier. So in total at least nine schools and several kindergartens have been infected.

Of course there are other reasons for the catastrophe - the election, the religious festivals, the oxygen crisis resulting from transportation shortcomings, all adding to the problems.

The US could save India by releasing its vaccine stockpile for India but it is not doing it.

What Singapore can do is let those who wish to be vaccinated with China vaccines have their choice, since it is already approved by the WHO.
Now that there is an apparent shortage of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, this is the best alternative. Why is the world still playing the politics of vaccines when lives are at stake? Stupidity has no cure. It is not there that is no cure. They refused to be cured. That is the worst mindset.
Today, there were 49 new C19 cases, 38 in the community and 18 unlinked reported. I am ‘wordless’ but I am not surprised.
I will be blunt. I would consider the taskforce to be part of the problem rather than part of the solution when they have the power to temporarily ban all flights and travellers from very high risk South Asian countries such as India from entering Singapore weeks and months ago yet they are not doing it even until today for whatever real reasons best known to themselves.

The shortage of vaccine could likely be the reason why they are saying one dose is ok. And still refused to approve Chinese vaccines.

The community spread is the most worrying. There is no telling who, where and how they have been affected and tracing is out of the question now.
In fact, the most likely place for the community spread must undoubtedly be hawker centers, food courts and restaurants, where everyone dining out is without mask on. But how do you do the tracing? It is a big problem.
Now the best way is to accelerate the vaccination program as fast as possible, but again the problem is whether we have the vaccines to do that. Even though vaccinations are now found to be not 100% foolproof, at least infections do not lead to serious consequences.
And of course stop the fooling around with arrivals from South Asia and countries with the 1617 variant. Trying to be more vigilant and taking more stringent measures is not going to work because the virus is invisible to the naked eye.
Another lockdown or 'circuit breaker' is going to be catastrophic.
It is more effective and less disruptive to ban travel to and from India than the half baked tighter measures or CB not CB that affect the whole population.
Would the imbeciles do the right thing?
