We have done well

I need to post something positive and encouraging to appease the couple of paid bloggers in my blog, mysingaporenews.blogspot.com. Otherwise they will keep smearing me for pointing out the less positive things around us. Like Lily Neo said, the attacks and bullying in cyberspace is not one to one but they come in wolf packs. So let me make them happier a bit. We have done very well as a country. No one is going to dispute this fact except the sour grapes. We are the pearl in muddy water, and we sparkle while others fade away. The best indicators to watch how far we have progressed and how well we are doing will be the issues raised in Parliament. We no longer talk about serious problems that will mess up the economy or the people's lives. We are talking about building dreams and bigger dreams and moving closer towards a paradise on earth. We live well, well educated, well fed, and travel around to see the world not on a shoe string budget. Singaporeans are very comfortable as a people. And now in Parliament we can talk about issues like husband and wife in bed, we talk about little girls' exploits in the internet, and we will probably talk about hip hops, about movies, importing foreign sports talents to win medals for us, about saving the world and going green, or about anything that don't really concerns us at all. Oh I forgot, we can also talk about achieving world records in the Guinness Book of Records. See, this is how far we have progressed. These are the luxuries of a well managed and prosperous country when all the real problems have been solved. Now we can even afford to set up a defacto Ministry for the Elders to look after their welfare. I could not put it better in any other ways. Yes we are doing very well.

why do you feel the need to appease cyber bullies ?

why do you feel the need to appease cyber bullies ? bullies should be tackled head-on, not appeased. Appeasement will only serve to embolden them.

right, bullies should be kicked real hard. but these are not bullies lah. just kids earning a living. so we entertain them a little and don't make life too difficult for them.

we can make friends with them also.

Redbean, it is so gracious of you.

We need to hear the good news some time. But, please do not overdo it as you do not want to compete with our "credible" national media. They are the best player in coming out with the good news in Singapore and some said, in Batam.

Even bullies need their good days.

We need to hear the good news some time, but we also need to know the bad news some time. If the national media thinks that giving the good news is important and filtering the bad news is smart, they are wrong. If people on the ground can feel the bad news they can always look elsewhere to get the information to confirm the truth. There is only so much you can do with propaganda in this time and age, not like sixty years ago.

Are people who disagree with your twisted views, bullies.. those that are unhappy with your comments, paid bloggers?

Chua Chin Leng aka redbean said...

if you disagree with my views you are most welcome. but instead of disagreeing with my views, both of you are launching personal attacks at me which have nothing to do with disagreeing with my views.

i conclude that both of you have a private agenda, like all doggies have. if both of you are not doggies, then show me that you are capable of discussion, disagree but without going personal.

prove to everyone of us here that you are not doggies and i will respect both of you and welcome you as friends even if you disagree with me. and i like people to disagree with me so that we can continue on a discussion.

wow! you have two people caring for you!

This is amazing. But then, the world is full of different types of people. Some will like you, some will not. They will come and go, as life is never constant.

Oh, well. Cheers...

thanks troop miner,

these are the two caring people that i have in this blog. i would appreciate them more if they can elaborate or explain why my views are twisted or whatever they called them.

for those who are empty up there, void of ideas, all they call do is to label people or call them names. ask them why, they dunno. can't find any reason or unable to explain.

redbean, how do you know these bloggers are "paid", and if they are, who might be paying them?

Chua Chin Leng aka redbean said...

just look at their posts to tell you what their intention is in posting here. they have yet to make a decent view of things discussed here other than calling them shit, nonsense etc etc. and they are so persistent, refusing to go away. why would they want to stick around? don't they have a life?

they are definitely not paid by the govt. anyone in govt who dares to pay such jokers to do such things in cyberspace, if found out, would have a tough time explaining. the public will be furious to know that precious tax money are being used for such wasteful thing. no, they cannot be from the govt.

Frankly redbean, it impossible to really know people's intention for posting here. All that is obvious is that people post to satisfy their own self-interests. But it is IMPOSSIBLE to know for sure what those interets are.

Does any one know my intention besides me? Of course not.

OK, I'll ask the question again. Your last reponse was a tad garbled, I'm sorry to say.

Redbean, you call these people 'paid bloggers'. In your mind, who do you think might be paying them, and what led you to conclude that these unknown folks are PAID?

Hi Redbean,

I could not pin it down if they are "paid bloggers" as mentioned by you. I would say that they are paid for their whatever jobs they are doing, as would any employee in any commercial organisation.

My take for all these "delightful" reactions has something to do with what you do. Sorry, some conspiracy theories here.

For the moment, they are your markers, as in a friendly soccer match.

I would be struggling to find a term to describe them in this situation in a politically correct way, without coming out as too direct and starting a mud war.

Just my 0.000012455 cent.

circumstantial evidence. i do not know them. why would they want to stick around to here my rubbish and shadow me in every post?

don't they have a life or could find some blogs that make them happier? why come here to be unhappy? weirdos?
