French magistrates have opened an inquiry into allegations that four fashion groups including Uniqlo and the owner of Zara profited from forced labour of the Uyghur minority in China, a judicial source said Thursday. AFP
What a joke. The French court inquiry about a few fashion houses profiting from alleged forced labour. How hypocritical can these evil white men be? France profited not only from forced labour but from massacring the natives of Africa when it invaded the continent. France was also involved in the slave trades. Who else were involved in the slave trades, many times more evil and cruel than forced labour? Heard of slavery, hunting and capturing African slaves in Africa? Britain was the biggest slave traders, and America the biggest beneficiary and the worst exploiters of African slaves. France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, etc etc, practically all the European powers were engaged in the slave trades.
Oh, my apologies. Slave trading and using slaves to work in the farms and factories and what else were not profiting from forced labours. It was profiting from slave labour. My humble apologies for not being able to tell the difference. USA, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Holland, Portugal, Belgium etc etc did not profit from forced labour. But they got free labour, and became very rich and powerful, free labour from the slaves.
Yes, yes, such nice and friendly and kind and compassionate and generous countries and people. Ok, go and investigate these companies on the alleged and fabricated charges of profiting from forced labour. There is no need to investigate countries profiting from slavery.
Ya?
There is another justification why slave labour should not be a crime. The slaves were subhumans and did not have any rights like human beans unlike the forced labour. Since the slaves were subhuman beans, so no need to bother, no need to investigate. Right?

The Whites are scrapping the bottom of the barrel to find fault with China. This is to be expected. They must find issues with everything - trade, human rights, national security, Chinese investments overseas, the BRI purported debt trap, uncontrolled re-entry of space station rockets, the weather changes, the virus outbreak. If not for wanting to target Russia, the recent ransomware attacks would be steered towards China as well.
Suffice to say, Russia and China are hitting back now. It is going to be tit for tat and an eye for an eye going forward.
And who profited from the genocides in USA, Canada, Australia, Argentina among others?
Big ranches, huge mansions, all in the hands of the Whites and built on the land stolen from from the Natives. Even worse than slave labour is the fact that these were forcefully stolen and paid for with the blood of the natives by genocide.
Aren't the justice system supposed to uphold the law and pass convictions based on facts and hard evidences. What a mockery of the French justice system when the magistrates themselves are investigating the forced labour in China cases. What truths and verified facts have been obtained so far about forced labour in China other than the unverified reports and comments by anti-China politicians, think tanks, academics and the biased media?
Some parliaments in western countries (Canada, Netherlands, UK, Lithuania) have passed declarations that China engaged in forced labour and genocide of the Uyghurs. But all the representatives of every sitting govt in these respective countries chose to abstain from the vote. Why? If China is guilty, why shy away from voting for it when all those times, their ministers had been going round making noises and accusations about China on the Uyghurs. It's all about political grandstanding and American pressure than anything else.
Whatever evidence are hearsay or fabricated lies. They knew.
As for voting, they knew that they are voting for a lie.
Also, should they vote for the lie against China, they know that they would be sanctioned by China and banned from entering Greater China.
So they need to protect their own skin and interests.
Canada has become a shameful country in the World of Western Propaganda and Psychological Warfare launched by the Five Eyes against the Non-White countries and the Muslim World.
Iran’s foreign ministry has condemned as “shameful” a Canadian court ruling that said a Ukraine airliner was shot down intentionally last year in an “act of terrorism”.
In a statement on Friday, ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said the ruling a day earlier by Ontario’s Superior Court of Justice lacks basis and legitimate evidence.
Ceca chapter on movement of persons not used as bargaining chip: DPM Heng
Clauses in the Singapore-India Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (Ceca) on the movement of natural persons were not used as a bargaining chip in settling the free trade pact, said Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat on Tuesday (July 6).
He was responding to Progress Singapore Party Non-Constituency MP Leong Mun Wai during a debate on ministerial statements that ministers Ong Ye Kung and Tan See Leng had delivered on free trade agreements (FTAs) and foreign manpower policies.
As chief negotiator for Ceca, which was signed in 2005, Mr Heng recalled that his Indian counterparts were "very keen" on the chapter in question.
"They said, 'What do we get?' Well, I said no... you have a population that's over a billion; Singapore has a population of, at that time, probably about 3 odd million. And I said we will be easily swamped, so we must have very strict agreements on this," Mr Heng said. "I never let go, and we got what we needed."
Chapter 9 in Ceca, on the movement of natural persons, pertains to temporary entry for individuals into both countries.
It has been highlighted as part of criticisms of Ceca paving the way for Indian professionals to take jobs from locals. The Government has repeatedly clarified that nothing in Ceca interferes with its ability to regulate immigration and foreign manpower.
Mr Heng said that leading up to negotiations in 2005, he was occupying a supervisory role as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. But their Indian counterparts had deemed the agreement important enough to involve a permanent secretary of their own.
That was how he ended up being the chief negotiator for Ceca, said the Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies.
"I can tell you the amount of homework I had to do to look at how we can come to an agreement. I went to different parts of India because there were objections from every part of India, from business groups to states," he added.
Mr Heng said he was "terribly troubled" by the PSP's approach to Ceca, and took issue with Mr Leong saying he hoped the Government had the people's interests at heart.
"Why do we negotiate free trade agreements and why do we do this public service if it's not with the interest of people at heart?" Mr Heng asked.
"And why do I spend three years of my life doing that agreement? So please be reasonable and don't mislead Singaporeans."
He also rebutted Mr Leong's suggestion that the education system had failed to produce enough local talent for the workforce, noting t the World Bank had ranked Singapore best in the world in educating its people; and that university cohort participation rates had increased from 20 to 40 per cent.
"So please do not go around thinking that we have not put in enough effort," said Mr Heng.
"I think, Mr Leong, you will better serve Singaporeans if you help Singaporeans understand how changes are taking place so quickly, and you must help to encourage people to upgrade and learn new skills, and work to support our unions in forming company training committees and job security councils and the like, in order to raise the ability of Singaporeans to compete."
He stressed the importance of bringing in the best people to work with locals, to help Singaporeans excel in new tech, innovation and digital realms.
"Please do not get stuck in the old world and think that we can excel all on our own," Mr Heng added. "Let us have an open attitude to work with countries around the world who are willing to cooperate and work with us."

Euro 2020 star Ousmane Dembele in race storm for mocking Asian hotel workers in video with Antoine Griezmann
Barcelona and France star Ousmane Dembele has been caught up in a racism controversy after appearing to mock Asian workers in a leaked video that has been widely shared on social media.
Dembele and his Uefa Euro 2020 teammate Antoine Griezmann are shown in the video making comments as Asian technicians fix a television in a hotel room, with the clip being circulated on social media on Friday.
The 24-year-old has been criticised for racism and classism over the content of the video with some social media users using the hashtag “Stop Asian Hate”.
France winger Dembele appears to say to Griezmann: “All these ugly faces, just so you can play PES [Pro Evolution Soccer], aren’t you ashamed?
“What kind of backward language is that?” Dembele asks, among other comments, such as, “Are you technologically advanced in your country or not?” He also laughs while zooming in on one of the workers,
It appears that Dembele is the one recording the video while Griezmann laughs along after saying something inaudible at the beginning of the 42-second clip.

And I said we will be easily swamped, so we must have very strict agreements on this," Mr Heng said. "I never let go, and we got what we needed."
Thank God, only 1m are here, or is it 2m, what is the actual number? Could have been 10m or more. Heng ah.
Heng ah, still not swamped yet.
US troops left Afghanistan in the middle of the night at 3 am local time, ahead of the September schedule, fearing the Taliban attacks.
Afghanistan War has become another big defeat for the US after waging war against the Muslims in Afghanistan for 20 years, since Oct 2001. Like the US defeat in Vietnam, the US forces left behind millions of military and civilian items, thousands of small arms and hundreds of tanks and armoured vehicles.
This is another big shame for the US Military in the World
Mr Heng is in denial. How did such a clause of free movement of labour existed in the CECA when none in FTAs with other countries?
India tried the same trick with Aultralia but the latter is smart to have none of it, reason till now there isn't a FTA although OZ really desire one with India after some China trade sanctions.
When I said black is white, then it is white. OK?
Mr Heng is no more Heng after he hot a STROKE.
Mr Heng's brain is obviously not functioning 100%.
Mr Heng wanted to lie but did not know how to tell lies. So his lies become so ridiculously laughable. I tot he was telling a fantasy fable in the Parliament to entertain his Opponents and Colleagues, as well as to joke with us.
Mr Heng has become a laughing stock unintentionally but surely.
From today onwards I shall refer to him as Joker Heng.
US military can only fight and bully those who cannot fight back.
With those who can fight back, the US troops, even with air superiority, still lose big time.
They dared not fight the Japanese on the ground on in the oceans. So they played dirty by using atomic bombs to destroy Hiroshima and Nagasaki and massacred millions of innocent people during the bombings and the aftershocks. Even today, the descendants of the victims are still suffering. This is the symbol of Evil US leaders' cruelty and inhumanity.
Who will take over from LHL as thd next PM?
So far, there is not a single quality and qualified candidate in the horizon.
All the aspiring candidates are duds.
Perhaps, the king-maker purposely makes it to be so. So that he can put his own precious son to take over, with or without a seat-warmer?
Perhaps, there is a sinister plot under way? Or,
Perhaps, it is fated that Singapore will sink? Retribution?
The next PM is hiding in the dark corner.
