American military planes landing in Taiwan, China

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) can expel, fire warning shots or even shoot down foreign military aircraft that trespass upon China's airspace, Chinese military observers warned Thursday, after a second US air force plane landed on the island of Taiwan in less than two months, which also triggered stern responses from the Chinese Defense Ministry and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

China is gravely concerned about a US air force plane landing on the island of Taiwan on Thursday, and any trespass of foreign ships or planes into China's airspace or territorial waters will result in serious consequences, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense said on Thursday, and it warned the US to stop playing with fire.

Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, and any foreign military aircraft landing on Chinese territory must obtain the permission of the Chinese government, ministry spokesperson Wu Qian said.  Global Times

Is China now strong enough to defend its territory and territorial sea and air space against unwelcome military planes? The US is now embolden to and military planes in Taiwan after the first landing that brought vaccines to Taiwan but smuggled 3 senators along.

Taiwan belongs to China and so is its airspace. China has the right to protect its airspace and to forbid hostile military aircraft and ships to land in Taiwan. Is China ready to do so or still unable to do so?

For so long, China could only launched protests in words and could do nothing else. The Americans know this and would violate and humiliate China whenever they chose to do so. It is also a way to test if China is ready and able to stop the Americans and the resolve to protect its national territorial integrity.

If China is ready, it must do it, to forbid American military aircraft entering its airspace and landing in Taiwan. Otherwise it would appear like Ah Q, only trying to scratch at the Americans but obviously unable to do anything meaningful.

Has the time arrived for China to act firmly against American encroachment and provocation? The Russians are very firm in this and the Americans knew what they would get should they defy the Russians. It is a matter of time for China to act like the Russians and keep the Americans at bay or continue to be bullied and humiliated by the Americans.

The second American aircraft has landed and third, fourth and more on the way if China still acts like Ah Q and not daring to do more.

China's "talk only but no action" has been expected and taken for granted by the USA and the World. This habitual tendency has been going on for the past decades.

It is no wonder, most of the smaller countries like Singapore do not take the Chinese leaders' words seriously.

If matters of national integrity and sovereignty are not enforced with actions, all the warnings given by the Chinese leaders are just hot airs, nothing else.

How is China going to be looked upon as champion for the underdog if she can't even take concrete direct actions to counter the USA's repeated flagrant violations of Chinese integrity and sovereignty?

If China is serious about Taiwan as an integral part of China, then the US military plane, that could also serves as a spy plane, should have been challenged and shot down or escorted to China's airbase and grounded, and detained until the USA pays for its release.

In addition, the pilots and crew of that intrusive US military plane should be charged in a Chinese Court with espionage, and sentenced to life imprisonment or execution by firing squad.

Then await for the USA to respond.

China must be prepared for war with the USA at all times.

China should arrest these military planes or ships and exchange for Meng Wanzhou.

The deliberate flying of a foreign military aircraft into Chinese territory without clearance by China's central government, is tantamount to an act of war.

China should register the matter in the United Nations and table it for censure and condemnation by the UN Security Council.

The world's number one warmonger, the evil American Empire is out to do mischief, to start another war. If not, the minimum is to raise tension and instability in East Asia.

A New Chinese Champion In The Making?

China's smartphone maker Xiaomi was the second-largest smartphone maker in the second quarter, overtaking Apple for the first time, a new report from analyst firm Canalys showed.

Xiaomi had a 17% share of global smartphone shipments, ahead of Apple’s 14% and behind Samsung’s 19%.

“Xiaomi is growing its overseas business rapidly,” Canalys Research Manager Ben Stanton said in a press release, noting shipments increased 300% year-on-year in Latin America and 50% in Western Europe.

The Chinese smartphone maker posted year-on-year smartphone shipment growth of 83% versus 15% for Samsung and 1% for Apple.

Stanton noted, however, that Xiaomi phones are still skewed toward the mass market with the average selling price of its handsets 75% cheaper than Apple’s.

But the Beijing-headquartered company is now looking to push into the high-end market. Earlier this year it launched the Mi 11 Ultra, a premium smartphone that starts at 5,999 yuan ($928). It also launched the 9,999 yuan Mi Mix Fold, its first foldable phone.

That price range pits Xiaomi against Apple and Samsung in the premium segment. But its domestic rivals Oppo and Vivo are also trying to break through into the high-end market.

“It will be a tough battle, with Oppo and Vivo sharing the same objective, and both willing to spend big on above-the-line marketing to build their brands in a way that Xiaomi is not,” Stanton said.

“All vendors are fighting hard to secure component supply amid global shortages, but Xiaomi already has its sights set on the next prize: displacing Samsung to become the world’s largest vendor.”

Xiaomi has benefitted from Huawei’s struggles. Huawei was once the largest smartphone player in the world, but U.S. sanctions cut the Chinese company off from critical supplies including software and chips, causing its sales to plunge.

While smartphones still account for the majority of Xiaomi’s revenue, it is looking to get into new business areas, in case the US take actions to subvert and undermine its growth, like what it did to Huawei.

In March, Xiaomi announced plans to launch an electric vehicle business and invest $10 billion over the next 10 years.

Wait for the Chinese to bankrupt all the American chip makers.

Agree. The Americans only think of them scheming, plotting and fixing the Chinese and the Chinese could not do anything about it or would not do anything about it.

Not to worry, when the Chinese hit back, the Americans would not know what hits them.

Yes, Singapore has been chosen as a second choice alternative because of US failure to secure Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines.

US, Taiwan could face sudden blow at any time in Taiwan Straits

China has formed the determination to use force when necessary, so the US and the island of Taiwan are clearly aware that when they are using their "salami-slicing" tactic they are also very cautious in order to avoid real damage. When will China fly its military planes closer to Taiwan island or even fly over the island, or launch missiles over the island to deter Taiwan authorities? China's answer is: any time.

The US and the island of Taiwan must not misjudge the situation and not underestimate China's determination and will to punish their provocation. They must be prepared to face a sudden blow.
