US military forces - For peace or world domination?

Wendy Wu

China and the South China Sea will be in sharp focus when the US military reviews its missions around the world, according to the Pentagon.

US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin announced earlier this month that US President Joe Biden had instructed the Pentagon to conduct “a global force posture review of US military footprint, resources, strategy and missions”.

“We will consult our allies and partners as we conduct this review,” he said.

Austin has said China is “the chief pacing challenge” to the United States and the Indo-Pacific area of critical importance to the US.

“And that’s going to be a key factor in this global posture review that [Austin is] going to do,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said on Friday.  Yahoo News

Another article in Yahoo News is titled 'Can the US enlist the Philippines to help contain China in the Indo-Pacific?'

The world has been used to the presence of American bases and aircraft carriers all over as if it is a right, a normal. The Empire has been accepted as the norm, unchallenged, unquestioned. Upsetting this American dominance is unacceptable, even wrong to do so. American naval strike force sailing into the South China, calling themselves freedom of navigation when in reality is provocation, infringing into the rights of China and other littoral states of the South China, threatening these countries, did not ruffle any feathers.  If China would to do so in the Caribbean of  near some American held islands, it would cause an uproar. China is aggressive, the American military provocation is not, is for peace, to protect the weaker countries from China, a country that has not been in a war for 40 years and has not invaded any country. The other, the evil Empire has been in continuous warfare, invading countries and held in awe as a peaceful country. What is wrong with this world?

What mission are the Americans talking about? Dominance of the American Empire and control of the world or for peace? The second few lines of Wendy Wu's article is clear, to stop the challenge from a rising China. China is growing too strong for the Americans and challenging its unchallenged dominance as the Empire. The threat of China is not to the rest of the world but to the dominance of the American Empire?

Why be afraid of China becoming the next preeminent world power when it is peaceful, did not invade any country, did not conduct wars, while the evil American Empire has been warring every day of the year, threatening and oppressing weaker countries, calling them enemies, making them enemies and making their people suffered. China did not do any of these things. Who is the bully, who is the aggressive power, who is threatening the weaker country? China does not make any country its enemy. China would trade with any country willing to trade with her.

The threat of China is only to the American dominance. It has nothing to do, directly, with other peaceful countries. The world could be a better place with a peaceful and benign new power that did not believe in wars and invasion and threatening any country.

The question in the other article, 'Can the US enlist the Philippines to help contain China in the Indo-Pacific?' Why should the Philippines want to be a part of the American Empire, to fight China, to die for the American Empire? There are many Pinoys that think it is alright to be part of the American Empire. But why want to fight and die for the American Empire just to be ruled and bullied by the American Empire?

Why not let the two contenders fight and sit on the sideline to watch the show? Which other silly country is willing to fight for he American Empire when they could be free from the control of the Empire, to be treated equally, to be courted by both powers when they balance out each other's might?

With China and American in contention, the rest of the world can become freer. China is not forcing them to choose. Only the evil American Empire is forcing them to choose, because the evil American Empire cannot accept the rise of China and looking over their shoulder and supporting weaker nations suppressed and oppressed by the evil American Empire, not allowing it to do as it pleases to hurt other countries.

How many silly countries would still love to be controlled by an Empire and be coerced to do things against their national interests? And to fight and die to defend the American Empire?

US lead the western nations especially its 5 eye allies to term China"s treatmwnt of the Uyghurs as "genocide" based on an unsubstantiated report by an anti communist Christan fundamentalist Adrian Zenz. He was commissioned by the BBC to do so ignoring his obvious inherent bias on the country and subject belying latter"s boast of fair and non bias reporting.

Recently, the ICC decided to launch an investigation into the war crimes on the Palestinians by Israel. The pretentious human rights defender hypocrite US is the only country besides Israel to strongly oppose. If its against the US's friends, they will strongly back them even if murder is committed.

If another country like China is seen to be challenging their superiority in every field, lies would even be concocted with sanctions to take them down. And it helps with the western and allies' media like those of the BBC and Japanese to help along.

How the US military is preparing for a war with China (by Admiral James Stavridis, 16th Supreme Allied Commander of NATO)

"Red lines" to which the U.S. would respond militarily:

These include "any nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons action by China against the U.S. or its allies or by North Korea; any Chinese military attack against Taiwan or its offshore islands, including an economic blockade or major cyberattack against Taiwanese public infrastructure and institutions; any Chinese attack against Japanese forces in their defense of Japanese sovereignty over the Senkaku Islands, which China claims as the Diaoyu, and their surrounding exclusive economic zone in the East China Sea; any major Chinese hostile action in the South China Sea to further reclaim and militarize islands, to deploy force against other claimant states, or to prevent full freedom of navigation operations by the U.S. and allied maritime forces; and any Chinese attack against the sovereign territory or military assets of U.S. treaty allies."

In the context of a U.S.-China strategy, the Marines will be resolutely sea-based and able to sail into the waters of the South China Sea, well inside the island chains China relies on for defense. Once inside, they will use armed drones, offensive cyber capabilities, Marine Raiders -- highly capable special forces -- anti-air missiles and even ship-killer strike weapons to attack Chinese maritime forces, and perhaps even their land bases of operations. The Chinese militarized artificial islands in the South China Sea would be juicy targets, for example. In essence, this will be guerrilla warfare from the sea.

In addition to a new Marine tactical and operational approach, the U.S. Navy will be undertaking more aggressive patrols throughout the waters off China. The strategic concept is clever: to gradually include other allied warships in this aggressive freedom of navigation patrols. Doing so internationalizes the pushback on Chinese claims of sovereignty over the South China Sea.

The Pentagon is hoping to include British, French and other NATO allies in the effort. Indeed the recent NATO defense ministerial in Brussels involved consultations over the alliance's role in facing the rising military capability of China. Over time, the U.S. would like to convince Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Vietnam to participate in such deployments. The U.S. overall maritime strategic posture is predicated on creating a global maritime coalition to face the Chinese People's Liberation Army's highly capable forces.

In addition to the sea service's activities, the U.S. Air Force will likely be shifting additional long-range land-attack bombers and fighters to Pacific bases that are widely distributed across Asia, including some very remote sites on smaller islands. These so-called spokes will be supported from larger bases in Guam, Japan, Australia and South Korea. The concept, dubbed Agile Combat Employment, adds a high degree of mobility to the currently concentrated combat power of both fighter and attack aircraft deployed in the region.

Finally, the U.S. Army will increase both combat power and mobility to deploy units forward in support of the red lines along those advocated in The Longer Telegram, including enhanced capability based in South Korea and Japan but easily capable of deploying to smaller islands throughout the region.

Both the Army and Air Force would be on the forward edge of additional training and exercises with the Taiwanese as well. Look for increased emphasis from the new American Space Force to focus intelligence and reconnaissance on the theater, as well as enhanced offensive cyber options from the U.S. Cyber Command, in coordination with the National Security Agency.

Taken together, it seems clear that the U.S. military is stepping up its presence and combat capability in the Western Pacific, and positioning for a conflict with China over coming decades.

U.S. military planners are indeed busy these days!

The US must be destroyed and obliterated from the Map of the Earth in order for the World to achieve real peace.

If the global community keep on insisting that the USA should remain the only rogue nation to rule the world, it will be doomsday going forward. Humanity will be destroyed for good, with the USA still posturing with intention to take out by sheer force those who exhibit the ability to progress faster than them and can overtake them in economic, military and global influence.

China has already used soft power to help developments in third world countries of Africa, South America and South Asia. It is the developments in those countries now that are there for the world to see, not the other way round of destroying what those countries already possessed. China has already amassed global influence and goodwill by helping poor countries with COVID19 vaccines distribution. Some of these steps of helping have elicited ungrateful remarks from lackeys of the evil empire. It is understandable that these countries are being forced to tow the line or face the consequences.

In the minds of the USA, no one must be allowed to do better than them peacefully, morally and using soft power to overcome the competition. Soft power is never going to be way to go for the evil empire. They only know how to exert hard military power to overcome competitors and allies alike. Whether this is a sign of a civilised global power or not is up to us to see.

Never in the history of the USA are we seeing the ex President plotting revenge on all fronts against the newly elected President. It is happening in the USA.

It is a good sign of what this will lead to. The world will soon have real peace when the USA is destroyed internally by race, extreme political polarisation, escalating poverty and homelessness, infrastructure collapse like the power outage recently, and of course the COVID19 roller coaster ride of switching lockdowns on and off at their whims and fancies to resuscitate the economy at warp speed.

Of course the evil empire will not disappear that soon, but at least we are seeing God putting into motion the wheel of empires waxing and waning throughout history. The USA is no exception, although they believe they are outside the dictates of heaven and nature with a foolproof plan. Global warming alone is beyond their control and rising waters, coupled with more destructive weather conditions is already upsetting their evil plans.

The USA knows it cannot enlist the help of Muslim countries to contain China. They have done much harm to the Muslim world to ever make the Muslim world trust them again. They are trying to turn the tables somewhat by highlighting their hypocritical concern for the Muslims in Xinjiang to provoke enemity against China in the Muslim world, but have only gained minimal grounds. Issues in Xinjiang are not only debated on mainstream, but also in cyberspace. People have alternative sources of information.

Mike Pompeo did visit Indonesia, thinking that China had some issues with Indonesia and hoping to capitalise on it by asking Indonesia to host their spy planes in that country but were rebuff.

Enlisting the Philippines is a possibility, post Duterte, as it is a Christian country, impoverished by religious doctrines that have served the purpose of keeping the majority of the people in that country poor and easily controlled. Coupled with the Philippines anti-China bias prevalent in the Duterte's administration, though not Duterte himself, through their years of propagandization under the yolk of the Spanish and USA influence, Philippines is a bone of contention for China further down the road.

Hahaha

Drones aside, RB must be careful when having coffee outside. CIA operatives are a dime a dozen and China will be blamed if RB gets Chinese or Russian sourced poisoned administered by the CIA. Then it it another false flag operation, like Navalny.

RB One should be careful when reading or referring SCMP. While SCMP owned by Alibaba or Jack Ma. SCMP is run basically run by two persons Joseph Tsai, Joe Tsai Alibaba Exc Vice Chairman and Gary Liu CEO: running day to day show. SCMP is China’s basher. They planted anti China reporters in China and all over the world.... I dun write well but if you watch the two videos below you will see their plans...
Hopefully SCMP shut down and those anti china reporters in China arrested like Cheng Lai (CGTN).

SCMP Indian-origin writers also very anti-Singapore.

Chua Chin Leng aka redbean said...

Yes, SCMP has been a China basher for decades. Hopefully with Alibaba taking over it would slowly be sinicised. For the moment many of the writers are still paid agents of the Americans and many think their ancestors are white men.

SCMP would be purged after China has purged the Hong Kong Judiciary and the Hong Kong govt. All the angmohs and yellow skin fake angmohs would have to run road or be locked up for good.

The Trump and Biden administrations have relied on the work of a right-wing religious extremist, Adrian Zenz, for their “genocide” accusation against China. A close review of Zenz’s research reveals flagrant data abuse and outright falsehoods.

USA military force is for peace. Any other country's military is for threat, bullying and war.

So says the world's No. 1 terrorist and hypocrite.

The useless South Koreans everyday taunting the North, wanting to start a war with them like they are more superior and stronger than the North. Now the Americans threatened to pull out, they wet their own pants, begging the Americans to stay and paying more protection money.

Why now balless, afraid to be overrun a second time by the North and no more so garang, want to take on the North?
