China assertive or American bullying more assertive

Tommy 'Koh said bilateral ties between both superpowers have evolved from one between "a rich, powerful country and a poor, weak country" to one between "two approximate equals".

And while they are not yet equal, both economically and militarily, China would "naturally be more assertive" and more reluctant to be subordinate to the U.S., the veteran diplomat added.

He continued to explain that the U.S. has a long list of complaints against China over several issues, including trade relations, accusations of technology theft, human rights in Xinjiang, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the South China Sea.

China, on the other hand, dismisses these criticisms as an attempt to deter their rise even further....'

Above article quoting Tommy Koh appeared in themothership.com. Many Asian leaders kept parroting this American catchphrase that China is assertive or becoming more assertive while implying that the Americans are such nice guys, not assertive, not aggressive, so peace loving.

Why is China standing up and doing a tit for tat against the Americans? The Americans have been attacking China daily, interfering in China's domestic affairs and demonishing China, and how come no one would say the Americans were the assertive one, the aggressive one, the one that is bullying China and China is justified to hit back, a reaction rather than being assertive? Why is it acceptable for the Americans to attack China daily, started a trade war and still being passed off as a nice and peaceful country, not assertive, not aggressive when it is agitating and provoking for war, forming military gangs to threaten and to want to start a war with China? Why are there so many blind cronies around?

Why no one is saying the Americans are assertive, aggressive, the bully, the international gangsters, sending warships into the South China Sea to threaten and taunt China? These are not aggressive, not assertive, because it is the right thing to do, the right of the Americans to threaten and taunt China and other countries like N Korea and Iran or Venezuela?

The Americans are not assertive, not aggressive? Why is China to be blamed for standing up to the American bullying and this be called assertive? Why should these people be telling China not to hit back when slapped by the Americans, that it is better to turn the other cheek, then it would be very nice, China not hitting back, not assertive, be bullied like before for the last 200 years? It is for the good of China to remain docile, be the timid little boy to be pushed around by the big bully, and no one else would be hurt as long as the bully has someone to bully.

Should China listen to these silly people and be very nice to the Americans and apologise to the Americans for hitting back when attacked by the Americans? Who bombed the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade, killing 5 Chinese Embassy staff? Did anyone dare to condemn the Americans for this sneaky attack or say the Americans were aggressive rogues? China must not be angry and accept it quietly because the attackers were the very nice Americans and the attack was normal, to be expected? To react means becoming assertive? Psst, China, the best place to attack the Americans is the de facto American Embassy in Taipei. Then claim to have used an outdated old map, but be prepared to be called aggressive by all the silly Asian leaders. They kept quiet when the Americans did it, but would be the first to come out and condemn China if China do it. Only Americans are allowed to do such dastard and heinous things and would not be condemned.

Many silly Asean leaders simply repeat what the Americans said, China is assertive, even aggressive, without bothering to think a little and identify who is the real assertive, aggressive one and the big bully. Just because the Americans said so, they just repeat what their master said.

Look at what just concluded in Alaska, the Americans continued to bash China and meddled with China's domestic affairs as if it is the Imperial overlord. And many silly little countries also like to poke China in the eyes, parroting the narratives of the Americans.  Who are doing the attacks, who are doing all the sanctions? Not assertive, not aggressive, very friendly towards China? What do they expect China to do, bend its head and say nothing, or turn the other cheek to be slapped?

China is just reacting to the aggressive and abusive Americans and the West, and silly American cronies trying to smear and demonise China. It is right for China to kick asses and make them know that it is silly to try to be little mischievous rats or a big bully.  In Alaska, China had made it known to the world that it no longer tolerates meddling with its internal affairs and would hit back immediately.

Immediately after Alaska, many broke and bankrupt little countries in Europe also joined the sanction game against China.  China would be taking them to task, one at a time to make sure they never recover from their slide to bankruptcy and poverty. China would no longer lend a helping hand to ingrates and enemies of China.

A new chapter of Chinese history has just begun. The world would now see a new China and the meaning of assertive and aggressiveness. China will kick asses. You have been warned. Any more silly little American cronies still wanting to mess around with China under the instruction of their American master?

Hi SSO, let's not get personal with Tommy. He is a nice guy.

I have just deleted your comment.

Cheers.

PS. The gist of my article is that many of our leaders and the unthinking Asean leaders are all sold by this American lie and happily quoting it without knowing why and helping the Americans to smear China.

Anonymous said...

If our unthinking thinkers keep repeating the American catchphrase, they are in a way helping the Americans to spread their hate and lies about China. The more this is repeated, the more the readers would think this is true, China is the assertive and aggressive one, not the Americans. China bad, Americans good.

Morning Virgo. I went thru some of them. Some articles by foreigners were ok. Some by the locals were base and not worth a second look.

You can always paste a few of your favourites here. I can't post whole articles as there are copyrights issues and plagiarism involved. When I quote articles, it would be in small parts to be used as talking points.

Cheers.

Bananas have been brain-washed for years, since school days, by Western culture and propaganda. Their psyches are embedded with positive thinking of Western powers. Their behaviours are inclined towards being nice to Western countries.

They even look down upon their own ancestors' cultures and values. And also look down upon their own kind.

This is the result of the success of the relentless Western propaganda campaigns, which permeates extensively, covering every aspect of education.

How do we counter the Western propaganda campaigns at the grassroots level when our leaders and prominent professionals are carrying the Western slogans without ceasing?

China is more assertive, China is more aggressive. There are loaded bad words used by the Americans to put China in a bad light. It is also a way for the Americans to identify their lackeys. All American lackeys must use the same words when referring to China, like debt trap, violation of human rights.

The latest bad words to smear China is genocide, another white lie being spread by the 5 eyes countries and EU and other American cronies are expected to utter them to show loyalty to the American Empire.

When is Singapore going to use this word to smear China to prove that Singapore is a good boy? Which Singaporean leader will be the first to use it?

The political leaders are very smart people. Surely they know what these coded words meant. They are like the secret passwords of the Chinese triads used to identify themselves as members of the triads.

The people using these words cannot pretend they did not know the meaning of such words. They are using them to identify themselves as members of the American mafia so they would not become targets of the mafia. They are proud to be the lackeys of the American Empire.

After his white wash in Alaska, Blinken will not last long in his job. Had he been in Trump's administration he would have been sacked via twitter right now.

The USA is playing the backsides of the EU. Germany thought that they are smart to take the USA's advice to sanction China.

Now Biden is warning Germany that if they continues with the Nord Stream 2 project, the USA will proceed with sanctions against them.

Karma works in mysterious ways! Or should I say - you reap what you sow.

Let's see if Germany has the balls to go against the evil one.

Oh, sorry, Germany is ruled by a 'she' and that is expecting too much from a woman leader.

The EU already joined the American gangsters to impose sanctions on China, ie Germany is now part of the American mafia against China. Benz, Daimler, BMW, Bentley, Audi, VW etc etc can start to pack up and leave China.

Cars are just luxuries that China can do without. And China has many options and even make its own limousines.

The EU imposed sanctions on China for human rights abuses in Xinjiang (no longer genocide but just HR abuses?). China retaliated double the number of European individuals and organisations.

Unhappy, senior EU officials threaten China that unless those sanctions are lifted, they will find it hard to rectify the deal as if China started the fight. As usual the hubris from the Western media has been China has thrown the deal away as if China is in greater need of it.

These western pretentious nutheads must have been deaf or missed the news on the Alaskan-US meeting, China FM had stressed that if US or other parties thought they could interfere in China sovereignty, domestic affairs, they had miscalculated. China would rather be less well off than to compromise on that.

Although the deal is mutual beneficial, EU defninitely is in need of China market given not a single EU country had recorded GDP growth in 2020 and is in dire need to restart their economies with the only country which can help them. US is all talk and no help as UK found out after following Trump on China with Biden now stalling or not even hinting on a trade deal.

So all these actions from the EU is just political posturing and grandstanding and of course also egged on by the dark hands of US who wasn't happy when the deal was first signed.

IF the deal is really ditched, China could just concentrate on RCEP and trade deals with many other individual countries including Singapore. Germany and France could negotiate their own FTA with China instead of being bound by the rules of the politically and economically inapt EU controlled by spineless polticians.

Many of the EU countries are at the point of economic collapse and bankruptcy. They need China badly to invest and trade with them. If the deal is called off, many will be in dire straits.

This is a tough lesson for the stupid EU to think they are still calling the shot. China should walk away from the deal. Let them go and talk to the Americans and see if the Americans would let them into the American market.

They still want to threaten China with their bluff? With no free money and resources to rob from their former colonies, the lazy Europeans would be dead broke.

HI RB, Good morning from USA.

"Hi SSO, let's not get personal with Tommy. He is a nice guy.....I have just deleted your comment."

I tend to be slightly in disagreement, Tommy Koh is still a PAP and part of the millionaires club... and benefited himself and family immensely from the years he served as Singapore's diplomatic service. Just like Singapore's diplomatic Kishore Mahbubani.

Anyway, the big Evergreen container ship got stuck in the Suez canal provided a golden opportunity for China to begin construction a Kra Canal or Kra Isthmus Canal or an opening ports southwest linking Burma into China... thereby by passing Singapore...

Retail giants Nike and H&M are facing a backlash in China after they expressed concern about the alleged use of Uighur forced labour in cotton production.

Many Chinese have called for boycotts, celebrities have cut ties and e-commerce platforms have dropped H&M.

Likewise, irrespective of whether you have been a "nice" person or not nice person before, irrespective of whether your name is Tommy, Dicky or Harry, it is immaterial. As long, as you attack China, either personally or on behalf of your master, obliquely or directly, subtly or openly, diplomatically or aggressively, I take it that you are also attacking me. Therefore, reciprocally, I have the right to attack you personally too. This should be and must be the bottom line.

As such, it is fair game for SSO to draw attention to the obvious.

Singapore has been thrashing and belittling China repeatedly, almost on a daily / weekly basis, for quite some time now.

This thrashing is carried out by retired and existing diplomats, academics, local and foreign correspondents, government mouth pieces and ministers.

Do you think China and Chinese leaders are unaware of such attacks?

It is only a matter of time that the Chinese leaders will express and demonstrate their displeasure to Singapore either directly or indirectly, individually or collectively.

Morning JC, Queen of Hearts, SSO,

It is ok to disagree with my views. I can understand your feelings and share your views too. But I try my best not to go personal with Singapore leaders in this blog for obvious reasons.

I let go everything I can on the vicious foreigners. Singaporean leaders will face their just desserts in a matter of time. They have their own karma to answer to. Attacking them personally here is not something we can afford to do. You need to carry a bigger clout if you want to do that.

So let's accept the status quo for now on such matters. Oh, please feel free to disagree with me. Sometimes when I posted certain outrageous views, I felt very disappointed when no one disagrees with me.

Please tear my articles to pieces when I posted rubbish, especially under the influence of alcohol. They are meant to be challenged.

Cheers.

As for the Suez Canal incident, was it an accident because of strong wind? How strong must the wind be to swing a huge and fully loaded container in a narrow canal?

Could it be mischief, to disrupt the flow of ships and trade?

Hi Virgo, buying those expensive German cars was part of the process of learning new technology. Today, China has learnt all it wanted from the West and could innovate, make them better like the high speed trains, and move on.

Silly western countries still thinking that China needs them got to have their heads checked. China is now self sufficient in many things, including technology. And silly countries wanting to trade and maintain good relations with China would have to behave, be sincere in wanting to do business. If not, China will kick them out. China does not need them anymore.

Singapore better take note of this new Chinese position. Asean countries should also be wiser not to pull the dragon's whiskers. China has made it clear it would kick asses.

Gone were the days when silly countries could do business and make money from China and still take pot shots at China, creating mischiefs and attacking China. Australia and Canada are good examples for all to see.

It is time for Singapore to watch its media very carefully.

Waiting to see if India and Japan dare to follow with sanctions against China. All Japanese brands and factories would be bundled out of China if Japan dares.

For India, nothing to bundle out, but would not be buying raw material from India. Definitely would turn down request to build high speed trains for India.

Anonymous said...

China is not building any high speed rail for India. Japan is .

For China it was a blessing in disguise that they did not win the bid. Japan found out the hard way that winning Indian contracts is like groping in a snake pit. The Indians wanted Japan to use Indian steel, which is of an inferior quality by varying the contract. The Japs could not agree and threats were used. The Modi Government has been putting pressure on the Japs with unilateral changes that the Japs found onerous. Never mind, it is all in the family!

There was a new request to China to build but got turn down.
