After 150 years of falling victims to international gangsters and hyenas that tore the country apart and impoverised the govt and people, the Chinese people have clawed back, step by step, in a painful and long journey to recovery, to rebuild their country and the lives of their people. No longer is the stigma of shame associated with being Chinese, something to live with and with heads bend. The Chinese have not only stood up but found themselves, and the confidence to be among the best civilisations and states in the world. All the sanctions, blockades, isolations, banning, did not work. The Chinese people have acquired all the scientific, engineering and technological knowhows to be among the best in scientific and engineering discovery, innovation and creation.
China is undoubtedly the new superpower without having to claim to be. It is challenging the West in leading edge technology in every field and overtaking the West in many areas. No need any hype, and no amount of badmouthing and smearing and blocking would change anything. China is way ahead in the fourth industrial revolution involving artificial intelligence and communication system and technology. What Huawei and other top Chinese companies have achieved cannot be stopped by the Americans or the West.
China is on a roll, unstoppable. It would run over all the roadblocks the Americans and the West are trying to throw into its path. China is now an economic power house, a major commercial trade partner, a leading military super power, self sufficient in designing and manufacturing everything it needs in warfare. It is conquering space, for real, not Hollywood makeshift moon landings or used of CGIs.
What is more important to China is not just the rebuilding of the infrastructure of the world, the rebuilding of countries robbed, destroyed and neglected by western imperialism, colonialism and incessant warfare. China is also looking foremost at the quality of life of its people, all 1.4b of them. More than 800m Chinese have been moved up from poverty and the target is zero poverty by year 2049 with China becoming a prosperous nation for all its people.
Just 40 years ago, China was still soaking in a sea of bicycles and Mao green tunics. Poverty was everywhere with dilapidated buildings built over centuries and still standing and badly needing repairs. The poor Chinese have to live with whatever there was no matter how bad they were.
The China today is gleaming new futuristic cities with high rise buildings and superb roads and rail ways crisscrossing the country and the whole of Asia. China has rebuilt itself to become a modern nation state and with good quality homes for its people. The dull, inscrutable and hopeless faces of the Chinese sea of humanity have changed to a brightly dressed people with smiles and hopes of a brighter and better future for now and future generations to come.
Below are just a couple of pics from CNA that showed the new China and the new Chinese people, the new homes that are many times better that what they came to learn from us in the 1980s and how they have improved on them to make them better for their people. If I am not mistaken, these are the quality of their public housing.
China is a people on the march, a nation on a march. This is a New Long March of the Chinese people to the future, to live well and with confidence as descendants of the dragon, of a great Chinese Civilisation. No more slums for westerners to parade on print on their media.
They have excess new buildings, homes and cities that the East chose to highlight as ghost cities without bothering to tell the wealth and investments poured into such cities, the designs and planning that eventually would all be occupied by the farmers and peasants moving out from their villages into well planned and organised cities and homes with all the modern facilities and transportation network. The transformation of China has just begun.

China is a very big country lah. These new homes are found in cities, and city population comprises only a fraction of China's total population.
A vast majority of China's land and population are still in the countryside and lesser developed urban areas. And it is from these areas that Sinkieland took a lot of these PRCs in as foreign talents. These PRC foreign talents will of course find Sinkieland much, much better than their homeland lah.
A lot of new citizens in my company are from PRC. They love Sinkieland for providing them with jobs and good income which they could not otherwise get in their homeland, even if they move to the big cities in their homeland.
The more capable and adventurous ones even took my company as a stepping stone to emigrate to the US and Australia to live and work.
The West is still harping day and night on the collapse of China, the ghost cities of millions of unoccupied homes, throwing spanners into the Belt and Road projects and hyping on the fear of Chinese colonisation of Africa and South America using debt as a weapon.
America now does not have the massive amount of money to renew it's own crumbling infrastructure of bridges, highways, water and sewage systems, and watching Africa and South America being updated is too much for the evil empire to stomach. Too much money had been spent over the years on weapons, wars and wastage of resources that American citizens have been used to, from cradle to grave, not to mention those infrastructure they destroyed and lives taken away by wars they waged on many lands. The day of retribution is near.
Decades of blaming China over pollution have now forced China to ban the import of plastic waste for recycling and the rest of the world now knows the real cause of the pollution actually comes from plastic waste dumped on China over the decades for recycling.
The act of banning plastic waste from the West now poses big problems for the West, having to crack their heads over what to do with all the garbage they produced and dumped on poorer Asian countries in the past. The US is the biggest generator of plastic waste in the world. Sure, they can look for other countries where Chinese recycling plants relocated to eg Malaysia, but for how long before the authorities crack down when citizens complain of pollution?
China is now the leading country in developing and using clean energy from solar and wind, while the West is backsliding into more dirty energy extraction processes and generation. Solar and wind energy is not good for the Petrodollar and US hegemony, that is why so much effort has, and is, still being made to prevent the success of electric cars and solar panels from China.
The US still wants to prevent the world from exiting the total reliance on oil, so that they can continue to control countries using the Petrodollar backed by it's strong military.
Like the Roman, Spanish, Portuguese and British empires of old, nothing is perpetual. They will fall and become forgotten empires that only exists in the history books. Generations later they will be erased from memory of those in the future.
Nothing is permanent, even life itself!
America now does not have the massive amount of money to renew it's own crumbling infrastructure of bridges, highways, water and sewage systems,.....
10:11 am
But then millions all over the world, including Sinkies and PRCs of course, would love to emigrate to America what.
Have u heard of any Sinkies who have emigrated to China?
You are talking about banana sinkies like you? Why have you not migrated to the US?

@ RB, singing China’s praises
I am sitting in one of my favourite hangs in Shanghai, a small cafe off the pedestrian mall in Nanjing Road. In my typical frugal fashion, I loath paying “tourist prices” for hotel food, and in a street cafe I can engage in my favourite activity: PEOPLE WATCHING.
My god how Shanghai has changed. It is truly one of the world’s top places. It is as clean as Singapore’ but unfortunately as expensive as Sydney. Oh well’ “progress”’ I guess!
I was last here in 2010, and 2005 before then. Back then, it was a lot messier, chaotic and the air quality really sucked. The air is clean, getting around is easy, even the traffic jams are not so bad. I think Shanghai will soon replace Singapore as my “Hotel of choice” 😂 Recently’ Shanghai replaced Hong Kong as China’s most expensive city. But, it is hip, chique, and the nightlife is way ahead of Singapore.
I’ll be sharing my impressions of China’s foray into world dominance. Yes, they are on track. But one observation is obvious: they don’t have the QUALITY yet. Their tech is BUGGY, standards are mediocre --- as a boss you have to micro manage or shit will cock up.
Women run the show in shanghai’ and they can be difficult as subordinates on a project, especially if the boss is a foreigner. This is the main complaint I get from the Singaporeans who are posted here.
The local standards of training leave lots to room to improve’ which is why project managers who have more international experienced are in great demand. There is only so much the Chinese can do by relying on local resources, but to their credit, they’ve done an AWESOME job. So they are not afraid to PAY for foreign expertise to get their standards up.
Jack Ma recently made a speech to India about adopting a 96 hr work week culture. This is China’s work ethic weapon which they will use to beat everyone: if you can’t work as hard as the Chinese, you are DONE.
The energy level is way higher than Singapore. Singapore better wake the fuck up. These people are SERIOUS and won’t be slowing down anytime soon. As I said’ foreigners have the edge on quality and value, but once the culture here changes to individual “pride in their work” like the Japanese….that is the point where China will WIN.
@ SG
Recently southerglory posted a thing about “meritocracy” in China. Yes, the govt has exams for wannabe govt officials. This is a point of pride in Chinese culture: if you get an executive position in govt’ you are “someone”.
Western culture has lost faith in govt. In China, it’s the opposite --- for better or worse, you be the judge lah.
In the free wheeling private sector, those who win are those who are experts at The Game. And The Game in China is played with no-boundary rules. You had better be on top of your emotions and get your head right, or you will KENA MAKAN by the arse-kicking Chinese entrepreneur.
12.28pm, just because u don't like what u read, u can not just ask Rb to delete those posts. Actually I tend to agree with those dudes that you should be sodomized to your senses. Hope Matilar would Do the deed.

@ good luck lah
Sorry, got no time to sodomize male kachng. So many jambu girls in China lah. Very friendly also!
"Western culture has lost faith in govt. In China it's the opposite..." unquote. Very true!
Hundreds of millions of Chinese have been lifted out of poverty by the Chinese Government through their policies, so it does not surprise me that they have faith in the govt, communist or not.
History will tell us that the Chinese tend to unite when facing outside threats, whatever their ideology and beliefs. Under Japanese threat, the Nationalist and Communist were able to unite and face their common foe.
Under US threat, I think nothing less is expected of the Chinese population generally.
Should be 饿死,慢慢死去 🤣😂
@ individuals eventually win, collectivism all live or die together
Having lived in the West for more than two thirds of my life, I've seen the culture degrade and the civilizations decline. The onset of ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY, complacency and laziness, plus crippling INDEBTEDNESS are at the root.
Gone are the old fashioned conservative values of individual enterprise, hard work and thrift. Now in ang moh cultures they want INSTANT SUCCESS with little or no value-producing productive work, and everyone is “entitled” to everything. If you're rich and successful, then you're taxed for the sake of “equality” ie “Everyone must be equally POOR”.
Those who do well in the West are those who adhere to the old fashioned INDIVIDUALISTIC values based on rational self interest, individual effort, due diligence and real value creation for the market (others).
The Renaissance replaced ARISTOCRACY with MERITOCRACY, with checks and balances built into political democracy.
Although much had been eroded and corrupted, you will still be ok and quite well off of you follow Renaissance ideals. When Asian friends all me how come I stayed so long in the West, I state VERY CLEARLY to them that if rather compete with a lazy, entitled ang mo than a hardworking no-nonsense highly-motivated and “hungry” Asian.
The West is in decline. But notice how well the Asians living in the western developed world are doing.
Individualism requires (individual) critical thinking skills, the ability to disengage from the group to “go your own way”, and to act against accepted wisdom and norms when the situation requires independent analysis and self-initiated ACTION.
In Asian cultures, collectivism rules. You are part of a group, which is great for survival and eventually prevailing at a set objective. However if the thing starts to fail: ALL DIE TOGETHER, or some will be sacrificed so the few “top people” will survive.
Individualistic societies tend to fare better’ because eventually there will be bad luck or failure. Individuals are able to move quicker than groups’ and can cut losses swiftly then take sanctuary. When the need arises individuals can group together VOLUNTARILY to achieve common objectives, but they can also disengage to cut their own personal losses. Societies based on individualism are more ANTI FRAGILE, to use a term coined by Nicholas Nassim Taleb.
The most important VALUE of individualism’s core philosophy, now lost in today’s “Entitlement Mentality Western Culture” is that of TOTAL PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY --- the idea that you are 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR *EVERYTHING* WHICH HAPPENS TO YOU --- without any exceptions, even if it is ‘not your fault’. i.e. to put it in local Singapore terms: You Die’ Your fucking business.
Australia is in the East, not West. Got learn Geography or not? In common parlance, Australia is referred to as Down-Under, not West.
Only living in Europe and America (including Canada and Latin America) can be considered as living in the West.
Living with Australians in Australia does not shift the Continent to the West. You are still located in .the East, more accurately South-south-East.
KAKAKAKAKA.......Gotcha!
@ kakaka brain
Australia ===>>> society founded on western Renaissance ideas applied the "manifest destiny" style by conquering the local indigenous culture. ie "the goode olde dayes" 😂
>> Gotcha! <<
If you say so bro...go on, give yourself a medal 😜
A series of bomb explosions took place at 8 different places in Sri Lanka on Sunday (21 April 2019).
The targets were mainly Churches and Hotels.
At least 136 (35 foreigners) people have been killed and about 400 injured.
This is worse than the Christchurch massacre in New Zealand.
The world is going berserk! If places of worship have become common targets for premeditated mass murders, no place is safe in this world of madness.
@ kill people in prayer? Only cowards do that
I don't think this is jihad. Usually with militant Islam they claim "victory" immediately after attack.
I suspect it's another group. Maybe the new Tamil Tigers or post civil war offshoots of them.
For sure, interesting times ahead. Ramadan coming up, then Christmas.
Sri Lanka's bombings' death toll rises to 207.
Eight people were arrested, probably arrest at random just to alley the anger of the Prime Minister and to soothe public panicking behaviour.
Yes I remembered as a young student in Australia especially the countryside, all kind of names calling that looking down on Chinese were used. But now they serve you like a king. 😀
1.16pm anon, get over it lar. Go receive your treatment like the few anons have suggested and get sodomize asap For all you know, I hope you don't get addicted to it later on.😀
Matilah, while you are there, why don't you post some nice pics to share here?
@ RB
Sure. I'll get the photo stream happening tonight or tomorrow. Raining like fuck now. Last night at The Bund kena propositioned until I lost count. No wonder govt locks up the CPF. One visit to China for a guy can finish all his retirement money lah 😂
Matilar, I hope u know that they are after your money, and not because you are a handsome small botak. 😀 Cause most of us there have same experience.
Mr RB, more crafty than that Mad Hater.
To prove that Matilah is there, post some photos lah.
Don't goggle or gobble the WWW to post fake ones
Cheers
@ it's good to be skeptical but not cynical
No lah. RB is not being crafty here, although he can be.
I'm on the move most of the time so don't have time to upload the photo stream. Internet here sucks balls lah. Slow as hell, everything blocked, must use VPN and even then some VPNs can't connect.
RB is a pro photographer so he'll probably laugh at my pictures. I use my cheap Xiaomi phone and a handled old Samsung digital cam 12 megapixel type. I don't have fancy gear and photography is not my strongest skill set. Anyway be patient lah.
Believe me, if you are talking about posting in the net, a mobile pic can be much better or as good as shots taken from a DSLR.
The Huawei P30 is as good as you can get.
Some pics. Off my trusty handheld old Samsung digital cam. Phone photos to follow.

These are great shots. But where are the girls that you were oggling, or your wild imaginations?
@ RB
Hard for you to believe, but I'm a gentleman. I don't take pics of people (unless crowd shots) without their permission
Unless you are taking some personal shots, closed ups, street scenes are fair game.
