The forced expulsion of Chinese researchers, scientists and scholars from America by the Trump Administration, known for being brainless on what is important and what is not, is a repeat of the days of McCarthyism in the 1950s. The evil and anti Chinese Americans are again repeating the same hate campaign against China and anything Chinese. The scale of this purge is unparalled in the history of the USA except during  WW2 when they were persecuting the Japanese for the bombing of Pearl Harbour. Trumpism is very similar with McCarthyism, raising fear of the Chinese Peril to rid the Chinese from racist America.

The implication of this purge to the future of American science and technology is going to be more pronounce and impactful than in the 1950s. In the 1950s, America's loss was the father of America's Rocketry in Qian Xuesen, a prominent rocket scientist in Caltech and head of several depts in the Air Force and Navy. On the contrary, it was the biggest gain for China when Qian became the father of Chinese missile progamme and was credited for detonating China's atomic and hydrogen bombs and also China's Space Programme. Qian was instrumental in China's great leap in nuclear and space technology today.  Without Qian's contribution, no one is sure how far behind the Americans would China be today.

A wrong and silly witch hunt by the racist hate Chinese Americans was a blessing to China then. Today's silliness would have thousands of times more impactful in favour of China than in the 1950s. Several thousands of China's best brains are forced to return to China and would be a big loss to the Americans. The 1950s American Administration was foolish enough to lose Qian despite repeated warnings not to let him return to China. But they were dull enough to think that he was worth 14 American prisoners of war in China in exchange.

Trump and his clueless gangsters did not know how much they are going to lose out with the expulsion of the Chinese scientists and researchers. Among them could be several Qian Xuesens in the making and their combined contributions to China's advancement in science and technology would be far more significant than just one Qian Xuesen that made it possible for China to catch up with the Americans in nuclear and space technology, starting virtually from nought.

China must be very thankful to the foolish Trump for repeating the same horrendous mistake of not keeping the Chinese top brains in America to contribute to America's science and technological advancement. Without Qian, The American Space Programme could not progress further and had to abandon their man mission to the moon for good. China is now going to leapfrog the Americans in putting man on the moon and setting up a moon station to exploit the resources on the planet.

And the few thousands of Chinese experts returning to China would have their works cut out for them, to overtake the Americans in the field of science and technology. Clown Trump and his circus did not know what they have done to undermine America's superiority in science and technology over China.

Conserving our forests is a delicate dance in a land-scarce country and a wicked problem. But this doesn’t mean there are no solutions, says one observer.

SINGAPORE: In late October, drone footage of Clementi Forest went viral, and many came to learn of and appreciate its wild beauty.

But after learning that the land had been earmarked for residential development, some netizens have called for its preservation, shining a spotlight on the dilemma of conserving forests in land-scarce Singapore.

A petition to protect Clementi Forest on Change.org has amassed over 10,000 signatures since its launch on Oct 26.

In response to queries, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) said on Nov 30 that while Clementi Forest is classified as "Residential (Subjected to Detailed Planning)", there are no immediate plans for development yet.

I think all Singaporeans know the answer but did not know the real reason. Many would say good opportunity to build more flats to sell to make more money to pay million dollar salaries. Singaporeans only think of every opportunity to make money and every little corner of the island must be carved out for commercial purpose, to earn more money.

Some may ask, is money the only thing, especially money that does not go into the pockets of ordinary Singaporeans but to make more millionaires? So this piece of nature, a gift bestowed to us by mother nature, for our well being, would soon be turned into concrete jungles to feed more mouths, to allow more people to live on it.

Does Singapore need to build more flats for its citizens? No, Singapore has more than enough flats for its citizens. But Singapore has a bigger mission for the humankind of the world. Singapore has to build more flats to bring in more people from the rest of the world to come here to stay with us, to enjoy this island with us, to work here, to provide jobs for Singaporean, to some, to steal the lunch of Singaporeans.

The first mission is the key. This island is meant to be filled up with more human bodies, bodies from all over the world. Because the whole world is overpopulated, Singapore is not. The cries that we have limited land is a myth. Singapore has all the land for the whole wide world. Singapore if needed to, will build a new Tower of Babel to bring in more bodies here to stay. Or dig in more tunnels to create more space for the bodies of the world. 

For what, a few dirty dollars for who? No, not like that, we just need to build and build and build, for economic growth. Stupid. This is the highest level of thinking in Singapore. There is a little piece of land, good, build more flats or hawker centres. No more land, reclaim, reclaim. We have endless land. Only stupid people said Singapore has not enough land. This is a myth. If this is true, why bringing in thousands and thousands of bodies every year to this island? You think the gods have no brains to think is it? Unthinking gods?

They have very very big plans, to bring in more bodies, 10 millions, 15 millions, 50 millions also can. Use your blains, oops, I mean brains. What is the point to conserving a piece of waste land called forest? No value, no monetary value. 4 rooms flats good, very good.

PS. There is a need to save this world from climate change. Stop using plastic bags. Great effort to start with. As for that forest, let's cut it down for more DEVELOPMENT. Development for what? 

India is overpopulated, Singapore is not. Why build cities in India when you can build cities here and bring the Indians here? This piece of land can bring in another 100,000 bodies comfortably.

PS: The Pfizer vaccine is singled out because it has been adopted by the Singapore government for mass vaccination usage across the country, even though other vaccines are also available. Moreover, it has only been approved by the US Health Authority for Emergency Use Only, not for everyone anytime. It is, therefore, clear that the US Health Authority has exercised great caution in the application of the Pfizer vaccine, whilst the Singapore "Experts" seem to have failed to consider this aspect.

War Crimes - ICC probe but not in Afghanistan when throats of young boys were slit by Aussie soldiers

International Criminal Court chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda said on Friday that a "broad range" of war crimes were committed in the Ukraine since 2014, as she pushed for a full investigation.

Hague-based ICC prosecutors launched a preliminary probe in 2015 after Kiev gave it the green light to look into alleged crimes committed during the pro-EU Maidan demonstrations, which came to a head in February 2014 when pro-Moscow president Viktor Yanukovic was ousted.

Ukraine, which is not an ICC member state, later also gave Bensouda permission to broaden her scope and go beyond February 2014 to include the deadly conflict that has since wracked the country's east.

Bensouda said her initial probe had now finished.

"My office has concluded that there is a reasonable basis at this time to believe that a broad range of conduct constituting war crimes and crimes against humanity within the jurisdiction of the court have been committed in the context of the situation in Ukraine," Bensouda said.  AFP

Steady lah ICC, working so fast and so hard to conduct war crimes probe in Ukraine. Why not war crimes prosecution of Australians in Afghanistan when the evidence is already available? Why no war crimes investigation of American and Allied Forces in Iraq, Libya and Syria, and of course Afghanistan? No reasonable basis to believe there were war crimes in these war theatres? Or is it becomes the investigators would be attacked, blacklisted and even killed by the war criminals' countries?

Russia abandoning 'no space tech' USA in ISS

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia should consider revising the terms of its participation in the International Space Station, a Russian space industry executive said on Thursday, because it wants to focus on forming its own orbiting outpost after 2024....

"We have to reconsider the terms of further participation in the (ISS) programme and focus on the implementation of orbital station programmes," Vladimir Solovyov, deputy head of Rocket and Space Corporation Energia, was quoted as saying by the Scientific Russia internet portal.

The state-run company oversees the Russian segment of the ISS, which was launched in 1989 by the Russian and U.S. state space agencies....

He said a lot of the equipment on the ISS was starting to age and that it needed to be replaced. He said there would be an "avalanche" of broken equipment there after 2025.

The ISS is used for space and Earth exploration by 14 countries, including Japan, Canada and members of the European Space Agency. International agreements on its use are valid until 2024.  Reuters

Russia was conned by its arch enemy, the USA, to joint develop the ISS thinking that the Americans were more advanced in space technology only to be duped. Finally they have found out that the Americans were far inferior to the Russians, and the moon landings were but a big hoax. Other than cheating on the Russians, the other major interest of the Americans was to shut out the Chinese from the space programme. After cooperating with the Americans for the last 30 years the Russians now know that the Americans could contribute nothing but taking the Russians for a ride, depending on the Russians to bring American astronauts to the ISS. Without the Russian rockets the Americans could only land in the Arizona desert.

The Russians are now pondering on going it on their own in the next ISS when the current ISS's lifespan comes to an end in 2024. In fact it should end this year, 2020 but being stretched for another 4 years risking the lives of the astronauts and cosmonauts in the expired ISS.

When the Russians pulled out from the next ISS completely, the American would be left dangling in the air, in hot air and nothing else, unable to build their own space station and their astronauts got no where else to go. Maybe they should repeat their moon landing feats in the Arizona desert and with the latest digital technology and Hollywood, put up another big fake man landing on the moon with Trump and Pompeo as the astronauts.

Meanwhile the Chinese Space Station is taking shape and should be open for business this year or next. But the Chinese has already put up a sign, 'No Americans Allowed' on the door of CSS. The rock that the treacherous Americans rejected is now the corner stone of a new space church built by China.

Good riddance to fake technology. Well, they can prove it this time with their new attempts to land man on the moon. If they can do it, they should if they had done it so many times with old technology. If they can't, then it all goes to prove that they had not done it before. Here is the latest announcement.

PS.  The Americans claimed to have brought back 382kg of moon rock but now asking China for samples of moon rock taken back by Chang e 5. Why?

Singapore asking the citizens for feedback on a cooperation pact between SIA and Vistara

SINGAPORE - Singapore's competition watchdog is seeking public feedback on whether a proposed cooperation pact between Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Vistara for flights to and from India could adversely affect passengers.

The application for collaboration between the two airlines, submitted to the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) in November, could merge 16 routes that the two airlines now ply separately, including flights from Singapore to Indian cities including Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad.

Concerns that the reduction in flights could affect ticket prices and seat capacity can be submitted to the CCCS till Dec 21. ST

If this pact is seen as important enough to ask the public for their opinions, not just for show, do you think the bailing out of a failed Indian bank, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, involving at least $460m is more important and warrants a similar opinion from the citizens whose money are at stake? Don't say it is not the people's money, any big losses someone has to bear and it will go down to Singaporeans bearing it. And Singaporeans are feeling cheated when their CPF savings did not seem to belong to them when all kinds of schemes, supposedly good for the Singaporeans, are introduced to take money from their CPF accounts, by legislation, without their consent or even asking them if they agree to it like this SIA Vistara pact.

We are all watching how the bailing out of the failed Indian bank going to turn out and how much of public money is going to go down the drain if it fails. Looking at all the sharks lining up to make claims against DBS India is frightening and shocking. Were these claims and lawsuits taken into consideration before plonking $460m into the exciting deal? If the creditors succeed, is there a bottom line to pay for the debt of Lakshmi Vilas that have nothing to do with DBS?

Why no asking of public opinion on such a big sum of money being spent? Oh, ok, commercial decision. But then, how much time were put in before this decision was made? How much due diligence?

Not a single country in the world is not corrupted in one way or many ways. Most of them are corrupted in many ways and many forms.

Even the US system is a corrupted system through and through. Lobbying by itself is already a very obvious form of direct corruption - using donations (as an alternative word to "bribes") in exchange for a favour.

Corruption is not just about taking bribes. It permeates much deeper and wider in the daily life and running of the country.

Doing something for someone as a favour, or as a result of fear,and threat, coercion, or own ill-will, is actually a corrupted mind working in the devil's workshop.

Corruption encompasses anything that affects our life, our living conditions and our living environment.

It encroaches into the political system, the economic system, the education system, the financial system, the social system, the cultural system, the civil service system, the legal system as well as the parliamentary system.

No sub-system can be free of contamination if the overall system of the country is already corrupted in one way or another, in one form or another.

As long as human beings are imperfect, as long as humans have very strong desire and ambition, as long as humans have greed, and the desire and tendency to want to control others, to subordinate the masses to their will, as long as we have leaders who are only interested in their own high pays, by hook or by crook, as long as we have leaders who raise their sons to White Horse status and given preferential treatment, we will not be "corruption-free" but "corruption-is-free"!

Wolf Warrior Diplomacy too rough for the West to handle?

A speech by vice-minister of foreign affairs Le Yucheng at a Beijing forum over the weekend looks to be one of the most important references in gauging the guiding principle of future Chinese diplomacy.

Le addressed a key talking point regarding China’s international relations – its “wolf warrior” style of diplomacy. To many analysts and experts, including scholars within China, Beijing’s diplomatic apparatus is sometimes too confrontational to be constructive – there must be more sophisticated ways to engage than yelling at each other in the public domain.

The argument often goes that, if China wants to win respect in the international community, Chinese diplomats must be, well, more diplomatic. As such, the recent quarrel with Canberra seems unnecessary.

The above is from a post in SCMP by Zhou Xin. The argument, China is undiplomatic, not diplomatic enough, China is yelling, China needs to be more diplomatic. How true or justifiable are these comments? 

Just compare to what Trump and that ugly fat slob called Pompeo and their diplomacy or undiplomacy, what China is doing in reaction to these thugs is child play. China has been on the receiving ends for centuries, derided by the West, oppressed by the West, contained and isolated by the West, demonised and smeared by the West. Till today, and everyday, the West is still attacking China daily using all kinds of lies and disinformation.

Why is it that no one is commenting or critising the rogue and aggressive and lying behaviours of the West, the regular provocations and intrusions into Chinese territorial waters in the South China end, challenging the Chinese navy to a war? In the case of the silly brat called Australia, the 14 sins of Australia were accepted as normal behaviour against China when what China did was to trade and to invest in Australia, sending billions of dollars to Australia, did nothing to criticise or attack Australia.  The same also applies to the evil Empire. China is playing by all the rules set up by the West, in the WTO, but being accused of violating these rules when the Americans violated everyone one of the rules it set up to contain China and disadvantaged China.

Who is or are the real rogues in international relations and diplomacy? China's wolf warrior diplomacy is a response to the rogue and aggressive behaviours of the West. China does not engage in such diplomacy only till now.  The aggressors and rogues were the West led by the Americans and Australia. 

When they attacked China on a regular basis is a given, a normal behaviour and China has to accept the beating and not to retaliate.  When China hits back, it is unacceptable. What kind of rubbish logic is that? When you hit at China, you must be prepared to get a black eye in return. There is no such thing as a one sided diplomacy of aggression.  This is passe when China was weak and cannot hit back. Its embassy in Belgrade got hit by cruise missiles for no reasons killing several diplomatic staff. It is the victim of American unilateral trade war initiatives and all kinds of abusive attacks and prohibitions, tariffs, bans etc etc. 

SCMP, please grow up and stop accepting the bashing of China as a norm and agreeing that hitting back by China is unacceptable. China is no longer the Sick Man of Asia, to be kicked around by the West and still has to say thank you and sorry. When the rogues kick you, you have all the rights to kick back. Unless you are still living in a white man's world, under the rule of the evil American Empire and has to move around with your heads bent in the presence of white men.

Look at it the other way, if China were to do to the Americans and Australians what they were doing to China, would China expect them to sit idle and not reacting? They will hit back at China hundred times more than wolf warrior diplomacy. Just try sailing your warships into American islands to provoke the Americans using the scam called freedom of navigation or fire a cruise missile into an American embassy and see what happen.

China must be prepared to take the evil Americans head on, tic for tac, or forever be oppressed and ridiculed and attacked by them and still be called aggressive and belligerent. The evil Americans only respect one thing, might, military might is right.

Huawei - Who is spying and monitoring your comms?

The Americans have been attacking Huawei furiously that its 5G network is comprising the security of user countries but till now has not a single proof of this. Britain and Germany have done their due diligence and came out with nothing on this to find Huawei guilty of this accusation. More than 170 countries are now using Huawei 5G and have no security problem with Huawei equipment. 

Who do you think is spying on you, listening on your comms and monitoring on you? Ask Julian Assange and Edward Snowdon. What was the new security laws after 911 in America about telco companies obligation to provide information to the American intelligence organisations?

There is one big reason, other than losing out in its technology and competition with Huawei to want to cut Huawei off from American soil, and this is the inability to monitor and spy on the users by the Americans.

Huawei is actually the safest equipment from spying and monitoring by undesirable agencies. It has been proven by many testings and checks by national intelligence agencies that Huawei equipment is safe and not as alleged by the Americans. To be free from American spying and monitoring, the safest equipment to use is, yes, Huawei 5G. 

This is what makes the Americans furious and so angry with Huawei 5G. Use Huawei 5G for your own safety and protection. The Americans can't get you, can't spy on you.

Income inequality or something more to it?

 

Singapore — There has been much concern about the plight of a frail, elderly cardboard collector after a photo was posted on social media on Monday (Dec 7) showing a luxury car reversing dangerously close to her.

Facebook user Vladimir Guevarra saw the woman stacking cardboard on a trolley as he was cycling along Eng Hoon Street in Tiong Bahru sometime last week. The pile of cardboard that had been collected was nearly as tall as the woman.

Just as he thought the woman was “too old and frail to be doing this”, he noticed that she was unaware that a Porsche SUV was reversing towards her....

He added: “I was stunned over how big her stack was, and I wondered how much — or how little — money she’d get for re-selling that, presumably, to a recycling shop.”

Using the hashtag “rich poor divide”, he wrote: “I approached her just to check she’s ok. Boy, she looked tired. I gave her the cash in my pocket and told her to have some dinner. SG friends, in case you see her, perhaps social services can help (?) She looked too old, and shouldn’t be doing this.”

 

The above is posted in theindependent. The stark harsh reality of Singapore is clearly described by the picture above. How old do you think this old lady is? 90? What do you think she is doing? Should she be doing this or be taken care of in her last few years of existence?

Singapore is such a rich country, throwing millions and millions away in bad investment without blinking an eye, $460m to save a failing Indian bank and its hundreds of thousands of customers that have nothing to do with us. And we have this very very senior citizen struggling to earn a few dollars at an age that taking a step is difficult and a big effort to do so. She is not the only senior citizen doing this.

What kind of society have we become? Where is the compassion of our millionaire, multi millionaire politicians? Throwing millions, hundreds of millions, billions, to foreigners and so miserly to our senior citizens, our children in need of financial assistance. What the fuck?

The suing of opinion-influencers, such as bloggers, is a form of intimidation not only upon the individuals concerned but also upon the larger masses in the cyberspace of this Information Age. Such intimidation must not be condoned nor upheld in a non-corrupt Court of Laws.

This is not only an archaic practice which should have been sent to the domain of the Dodo Birds long ago, but also a form of indirect corruption that falls into the category of Ill-will.

And ill-will is very ugly. It does not speak well of the one who harbours the ill-will. It also affects those who are associated with the deed involved. For example, if you asked me to murder your wife's secret lover, than I have become an accessory to your ill-will if I carry out what you had wanted me to do, irrespective of whether you have communicated with me directly or through a third party.

The fact that it is still being practice shows that Singapore is still very backwards and that Singaporeans are being led by people who are highly insecure, overly sensitive and thin-skinned, and have the tendency to behave like military dictators who are unable to take "No" for an answer. Such dictators simply detest criticisms and dissents. That's why they need "Yes-Men" around them all the time.

Is there such a thing as defamation?

Before we talk about defamation, we have to understand what fame is. What is Fame?

Fame means popularity. Popularity means many people know who you are and what you stand for. Some may have good opinions about you, while some may not. Some may be having varying opinions about you - sometimes good and sometimes bad and some may have fixated stereotype opinions about you for various reasons.

If you do not have fame at all, then you cannot be defamed. It's just like if you do not have any money, how can someone take away your money. Simple as that. Agree? Of course, you cannot disagree with that.

If you are very famous, you already have fame. So how can anyone defame you? It is not like you are sitting on the throne like a king and someone comes along and dethrone you. The fame you have acquired stays with you throughout your lifetime. Nobody can take it away from you. So how can someone defame you at all?

Therefore, either way, whether you have fame or do not have fame, you cannot be defamed.

Then what re defamation lawsuits all about?

My answer is: To keep the lawyers employed and to make the courts busy, as if they are not already too busy.

3. Why sue the whistle-blower instead of the main culprit?

The answer given boils down to convenience and probability of winning the case.

If I were to sue someone in another country using another country's legal system, it is very inconvenient for me and it may drag on and on for a long time. And also my chances of winning the case is very slim. But if I do it in my own courtyard then I have a good chance of success because of indirect influence due to my stature, my position and whatever powers I may wield at the moment.

But that's very unfair, is it not?

There is no such thing as fairness in the business of winning. It is just like Donald Trump's "Art Of Rob, Borrow or Steal" that is being practised all the time.

Great culture of the most elite Australian military personnel

The Australians military has great culture and traditions and proudly telling the world about it. Somehow the Americans, the British fighting in Afghanistan did not have such great culture, or was it that their 'reinforced code of silence' was more effective and no one squealed?

It is looking like only the Australian soldiers were the bad guys standing up like sore pricks to be recognised. The rest, especially the Americans and British, were so angelic, pure as white, no dirt on their beautiful white skins, definitely no blood in their hands, no throat slitting of young Afghan boys.

The Australians have a lot to learn from the Americans and the Brits. Wait a minute, did not the British and Americans trained the Australian Special Forces, sharing the same doctrines and modus operandi and warrior codes?

PS. Shouldn't this culture be kept hush hush, not to be told so that no one will know about it, about blood letting and first kill, a secret warrior code? Now, if you are not a public figure or celebrity, then the chances are that you will not be famous. If you do not have fame, then you cannot be defamed. It's just like if you do not have any title, then no one can take away your title. Simple as that. Agree? Of course, you cannot disagree with that.

Covid19 - Brave Americans making America Great Again

 California Governor Gavin Newsom's order came into effect one day after the state set a record with more than 30,000 new COVID-19 cases, triggered in areas of Southern California where fewer than 15 per cent of intensive care hospital beds remain available....

There have been 14.7 million confirmed infections and 282,253 coronavirus-related deaths reported in the country since the pandemic began, the most in the world.

California has been under a stay-at-home order for all but essential services since March. The new order, which will last at least three weeks, bans private gatherings of any size, shuts all but critical infrastructure and retail operations, and requires everyone to wear a mask and maintain physical distancing.

But the sheriffs of Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside counties have said they will refuse to enforce the order...

Dr Anthony Fauci, tapped by Biden to be his chief medical adviser on the coronavirus, warned the nationwide surge could get worse after the year-end holiday season.

After millions ignored expert advice and travelled for the Thanksgiving holiday in November, Fauci anticipated Americans would once again behave recklessly during Christmas and New Year's Eve festivities.  Reuters

Above report is a true reflection of how brave( not stupid) the Americans are in standing up against the virus.  They are not going to obey any orders to take precautions against the virus.  They are going to do what they want to do, to celebrate, to have fun, to live the Great American way of life. This is the way to make America Great Again. It is a very lofty way to show the world that the Americans are fearless and a great people. The 3 sheriffs are heroes and other sheriffs should follow their examples not to obey their governors on lockdowns and masking up and avoiding parties. If not the Americans would never be great again. Latest count, 7 sheriffs are defying the governor, not going to enforce the restrictions on Covid19. Beautiful, really.

The people of the world should cheer and clap for the Americans for being so brave in times of adversity. Truly no other country would dare to be as brave as the Americans. The rest of the world that are not thinking of making their countries great again need not have to follow the brave Americans in what they are doing, freedom, freedom of expression and freedom to live as they like. 

Let's wish the brave Americans well and success in making America Great Again, with or without Trump. 15m and still going strong!

The passenger had undergone testing before boarding the cruise and tested negative."

My Comments:


1. If you are tested negative, it does not mean you are totally free from the COVID-19 virus infection.

2. It only means that on that day, at that point in time, the infectious virus inside your body could not be detected, yet.

3. It can also mean that the testing system is not very effective or faulty.

4. It can also mean that it could be a rush job and therefore efficiency and accuracy could have been sacrificed for the purpose of expediency and profit-motive.

5. Alternatively, the old gentleman could have contracted the COVID-19 disease from someone on the cruise. That someone could be a healthy carrier from the crew, the cooks, the service personnel or from the other passengers.

6. Moral of the story is:

A cruise to nowhere can turn up to be a cruise to somewhere - hospital or cemetery.

7. Conclusion.

Don't be over-confident. No detection of infection does not mean there is no infection. It means that the coronavirus is smarter than we humans think we are.

Let me tell you what I think.

1. The fact the Anwar got kicked out by the then PM Mahathir, when he was his DeputY PM, showed that he was not smart after all.

Rule No 1 - Never make your boss so angry with you until he has to kick you out.

2. The fact that Anwar got charged and convicted for sodomy (1st count) and got black-eyed in the prison, showed that he was not so smart after all.

Rule No 2 - When you are in deep shit, do not give those around you a chance to take advantage of your predicament and screw you up.


3. The fact that Anwar got charged and convicted for the same offence (sodomy) a second time, showed that he was not only not smart after all but also an extremely careless and
weak person.

Rule No 3 - Never be found wanting and get caught for the same mistake a second time, because the first time can be given benefit of doubt but the second time removes all doubts. Even if he has been framed, as he claimed, the second sodomy charge sticks to him like a leach throughout the rest of his life.

4. The fact that Anwar had accepted, and even rejoiced at, the Agong's pardon, shows that he is not only stupid, but very stupid. Whoever had helped him to get the Agong's royal pardon had actually wanted him to be destroyed completely. A pardon is not the same as a vindication. When you accept a pardon, it means you have accepted that you are guilty and therefore wanted to be pardoned for what you have done. A vindication means you are not guilty and you have been cleared of the wrong conviction.

Rule No 4 - If you want to clear your name, never accept a forgiveness or a pardon from anybody, irrespective of whether He is God or King. It you do so, you are forever condemned as a guilty person in the eyes of the world.

So, for those who still thinks that Anwar is smart, think again.

Anwar has dug his own grave by being carelessly over-confident and as a result over-stepping on many big toes that count in his political life. That is sheer stupidity of a politician-wanna-be.

Second hand smoke is not just a nuisance but toxic chemicals

 As people spend more time at home, smoke wafting into people’s homes can be a deadly public health menace, and should not be mistaken for a neighbourly nuisance or a gripe about smoking from non-smokers....

Smokers cannot seem to catch a break, particularly with the suggestion to ban smoking near home balconies and windows by Nee Soon GRC Member of Parliament and Group Parliament Committee for Sustainability and Environment Louis Ng in October reviving a national debate about how far the country should go to combat smoking completely.

Make smokers close their windows when they smoke, some suggested....

Ban smoking altogether, a few frustrated netizens said.Some public health experts, like Prof Chia Kee Seng, have gone even further to call for exterminating smoking completely seeing that it is “an archaic habit with no place in modern society”....

The consequences can be serious. “A lot of the residents complained to me about secondhand smoke because their children have asthma … yet they have a neighbour who’s constantly smoking at their windows,” Mr Ng highlights.

“Imagine if your neighbour is spraying toxic chemicals out of his house and you’re breathing it in … that’s exactly what secondhand smoke is.”  CNA

When would the non smokers be freed from the aggressive violation of smokers, spreading their toxic and smelly fumes into their homes or into their faces along public walkways? When would the world be free from these drug takers, the modern day opium smokers? When their addiction cravings demand that they take a puff, they would not hesitate to satisfy this craze and would not even mind standing beside dirty and smelly dustbins to inhale the drugs called cigarettes, casting images of the desperate opium smokers of yester years.

While it is very difficult for the older addicts to kick this dirty addiction, let's hope the younger generation would not be smarter not to carry on this unnecessary and money wasting habit and keep themselves clean and the environment clean, and the air clean for other beans to enjoy.

It is so sickening to be waken up in the middle of the night by a waft of smelly cigarette smoke to disrupt your sleep and struggling not to breathe in the foul air. It is a terrible encounter for non smokers when they need to breathe but cannot breathe and have to struggle to breathe when the air is filled with cigarette smokes that the smokers enjoy and think it is so nice and friendly and generous to share with the non smokers. What about the young, the infants and babies that are also forced to breathe in this toxic fumes and cannot say no, unable to say no?

When would the govt put a stop to this infringement of the non smokers right to breathe in simple clean and fresh air, free from smelly and toxic cigarette smokes? We are living so close to each other, only a few feet apart. There is no escape when someone living below or above or next door, smokes.  The world has more or less gotten rid of the smelly opium smokers. China was ruined by the mindless and unthinking consumption of opium in the past. Today's tobacco is just a milder form of drug addiction that the world can do without in exchange for having cleaner air and cleaner streets and cleaner everything and cleaner everywhere.

Would the smokers show some consideration and mercy on the non smokers? It is unbearable and intolerable to many non smokers. Nah, they simply don't care when they are desperate to smoke, just like all drug addicts. It is their right to smoke as long as the law allows it.

PS. I know that many smokers would be offended by this post. But non smokers cannot go on suffering in silence. The non smokers did not do anything to offend the smokers, just asking to be free to breathe in non contaminated, not smelly fresh air. They would not bother with the smokers if the smokers did not bother them.

Singapore – Smokers have been urged to be considerate and close their doors and windows when indulging in their habit so that the smoke does not go into neighbouring flats.

On Thursday (Dec 3), Facebook user Candice Yeo made a request on the Complaint Singapore page. She said that no one was stopping those who want to smoke at home but they should shut their doors and windows tight.

She said that people smoked at windows and balconies because they did not want the smoke in their homes but it then floated into neighbouring houses.

She hoped that her request would be considered and those who smoke would be considerate enough to shut their windows and doors.

Australia's 14 sins against China but called China a bully when China kicked their ass

 

China has stopped buying from Australia.  China was the top buyer of Australian products to the tune of billions annually, more than 25% of Australian exports go to China. The money the Australians are making from China would make many countries drooling. Instead of saying thank you to China, the silly Australians kept taking pot shots at China, treating China as enemy number One. Now their economy is tanking, many of their exporters are crying as there are no takers that could absorb the volumes they were selling to China.

And what did the Australian govt say? China is bullying Australia? The silly bananas in TRE also echoed this sentiment. China is a bully, aggressive and assertive. Did they know what caused China to kick Australian asses? Did they know how provocative, aggressive and obnoxious the Australians were, pushing and attacking at China when China was pouring money into Australia, investing in Australia without any political consideration or pressure for the Australian to take sides with China against the Americans? Instead, the Americans told the Australians to choose and take sides and the white racist Australians happily chose to attack and curb Chinese investments in Australia and accused China of forcing the Australians to take sides, and bullying them. The bullying of China was so ridiculous, a silly little white brat thinking it could kick China under the belt. 

Below is a list of 14 crimes or sins the Australians committed before China said enough is enough and had to teach the white monkeys a lesson in respect and good behaviour. And for all these crimes, China was acting like good customer, a good investors, dumping billions into Australia and the Australians laughing to the bank. Since 2018, more than 10 Chinese investment projects have been rejected by Australia citing ambiguous and unfounded "national security concerns" and restricting areas like infrastructure, agriculture and animal husbandry.
2. Banning Huawei Technologies and ZTE from the 5G network, over unfounded national security concerns, doing the bidding of the US by lobbying other countries, foreign interference legislation viewed as targeting China and in the absence of evidence.
3. Politicization and stigmatization of the normal exchanges and cooperation between China and Australia and creating barriers and imposing restrictions, including the revocation of visas for Chinese scholars.
4. Calling for an international independent inquiry into the COV1D-19 virus, as a political manipulation echoing the US attack on China.
5. Incessant wanton interference in China's Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and Taiwan affairs.
6. Spearheading the crusade against China in multilateral forums
7. The first non littoral country to make a statement on the South China Sea to the United Nations, siding with the US' anti-China campaign
8. Spreading disinformation imported from the US around China's efforts of containing COV1D-19.
9. Legislating scrutiny of agreements with a foreign government targeting China and aiming to torpedo Victoria’s participation in B&R
10. Providing funding to anti-China think tanks for spreading untrue reports, peddling lies around Xinjiang and so-called China infiltration aimed at manipulating public opinion against China

Malaysia has lost its direction. The present leadership is very weak.

The coalition of political parties to hold power by sharing power seldom work well. It is uncanny and strange that it can still hold together.

I think the Malaysian King (Sultan) is behind all the manipulations. He simply cannot and does not want to give consent to Anwar to ascend to the Premiership.

The fact that Anwar has received a royal pardon, and accepted it so willingly, means that Anwar cannot now claim that he was not guilty of sodomy, which he has been trying to do so even after being convicted for the second time. As such, in the King's eye, Anwar cannot be allowed to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. He is taboo. Anyone else is still better than him.

Sodomy is taboo in Malay and Muslim tradition and culture. Public officials cannot commit the crime and still hold political leadership office. This is the bottom line. This has sealed the fate of Anwar Ibrahim's ambition to become the next Prime Minister of Malaysia forever. Even Anwar himself could have realized it. That's why he looks so agonized and desperate.

UMNO is trying very hard to make a comeback. It can only do so by making all ruling party leadership and administration look weak and directionless, as it is at present.

In addition, for UMNO to return to power, Najib Razak's 1MDB fiasco has to be quickly done with. The 1MDB fiasco has tarnished UMNO irreparably. The longer this fiasco drags on, the more difficult it is for UMNO to return to power. Therefore, it has no choice but to go for second options, which is to become the puppet master, pulling the strings from behind and above the screen. This is what it is doing now. This is what it can and will do for the time being, into the uncertain future.

As the present unassuming PM is doing just nice, not too good but also not too bad. UMNO has to jump onto his bandwagon and ride along as a free-rider, as well as the puppet master.

PAS is eager to be involved in the governing, if given a chance because for the past donkey years that it was in existence, it has never been able to hold any governing positions. This time around, it is going to make inroads into the Malaysian governing body, so that it can at least be a factor to be reckoned with. Therefore, it will sleep in bed with any other political party that has the best chance to form the government, except Anwar's party. Because, as an Islamic party, it cannot openly be seen as condoning and supporting someone who has been convicted of sodomy twice. However, if Anwar is out of the way, PAS may also consider an alliance with PKR.

Going forward, as long as Anwar is the leader of PKR, there is very slim chance for it to gain enough votes to form the next Malaysian government. His wife would have done better, as she has shown while Anwar was in jail.

I, therefore, venture to predict that UMNO will eventually rule Malaysia again.

Old habits die hard. After 60 years under UMNO rule, the majority of Malaysians have become used to its style of governing. At least about half of the Chinese and Indian voters prefer UMNO than PKR or any other parties to be the government. Especially so after the collapse of Dr Mahathir's second premiership, due to his own idiosyncrasies and a series of miscalculations, culminating in his own resignation, a very costly self-snooks-self misadventure. From that day onwards, Dr Mahathir's time is up. No matter how he tries now, very few Malaysian voters would want to give him a third chance to be in power again. He is spent.

In conclusion, Malaysia is now in the crossroads of political re-orientation, re-alignment and re-adjustments. It will take at least another five years for things to straighten out. This is a very trying time. It will take a trying premier to try whatever he can try, in order to disentangle the mess in the whole political system of Malaysia.
