SINGAPORE: Singapore reported a record 728 new cases of COVID-19 on
Thursday (Apr 16), bringing the total number of infections in the
country to 4,427. CNA
Singapore is setting new records everyday for new cases of infection. 728 is a number that no Asean countries ever seen. And this is happening in tiny Singapore with a population of less than 6m. As of today, only the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia have more cases than Singapore but not for long. Singapore's record breaking rate if maintained, would push Singapore ahead of them in a matter of days.
And on Friday another 623 cases bringing the total to 5050. Indonesia and the Philippines are just hitting 6,000. If this rate of increase is maintained, in two days Singapore would be more than Indonesia and the Philippines, the highest in Asean, number one in Asean.
This is going to put a lot of pressure on our limited resources and hospital facilities. This is going to put a lot of pressure on the govt to declare Dorscon Red, something they are very reluctant to do as it would not only affect commerce but also the possibility of holding a General Election. The Covid19 will now decide if a GE is possible in the next few months.

Covid19 - Is community spread threatening Singapore?
There were 233 new cases on 12 April, 167 with no links and nearly 30 clusters all over the island. And on 13 April a new record was hit, 386 cases with 94 unlinked cases, ie community spread. How did we get here, from gold standard to becoming the epicentre in Southeast Asia. If the rate of infection continues to grow, we will be there. At this point, with such numbers, containment is not going to be easy, even difficult. Singapore is likely to graduate from containment to mitigation.
There is this fear that the foreign workers could pass the virus to their girlfriends and cause a new front in the homes of Singaporeans. Contrary, the foreign workers could be infected by their girlfriends and brought the virus to their dormitories, to Mustafa Centre. Strangely, the infection rate of domestic maids is very low. Is it because they were not tested or few were infected?
How did Singapore, the envy of the rest of the world just a couple of weeks ago, deteriorated to this sorry state of affair? No, things still under control, the spread is not serious?

The coronavirus was created by the United States military biological laboratories to kill Asians and Africans and especially to kill the Chinese whom the evil empire considered as its strategic competitor. However, the monstrous evil plot backfired and the coronavirus are now coming to America. But the USA leadership is indifferent because they strongly believe the virus was created to attack ethnic races only with the yellow skin or dark skin genes and would not attack white men. So with such strong belief they gingerly adopted a couldn't care less attitude. The epidemic is now engulfing the whole of the USA with great severity but the politicians are still quarrelling and fighting and Trump and his officials are only obsessed in demonizing China. Instead of fighting the deadly coronavirus pandemic the United States concentrates on demonizing China and bullying other countries like Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea and many more others.
Now the Trump administration find it hard to fight and contain the coronavirus. Being untrustworthy and irresponsible they try to deflect the people's attention from their inefficiency and incompetence in dealing with the pandemic by playing the blame game of accusing China and the World Health Organisation for all the faults except their own.
The Covid-19 may cause havoc to US economy, trade, commerce and finance. They may find it hard to extricate themselves from this havoc and coming economic disaster. The United States now has an unsolvable debt of about 28 trillion dollars and it is increasing every day. The fear now is the United States in desperation may start a war with China or Russia or attack any of the smaller weaker countries like Venezuella, Cuba, Iraq, Iran or North Korea to solve this critical crisis it created. But war will not solve their problem. It will deepen their crisis and hasten the end of US imperialism.
A New York Times report which is posted in Straits Times on Tuesday, 7th April, on page A16 stated. " US military seeks more funds for Pacific region, post - virus. Additional $29 b sought for 2021 - 26 to bolster deterrence against China once outbreak ends."
But why deter China? What is there to deter China? China has never attacked any other country and has no intention to do so. On the other hand China like many Asian countries has always been on the receiving end of Western aggressions and occupation. China has decided these western and American aggressions have to stop. In the last few decades China and the Chinese people have with grit and gumption simultaneously built up a strong economy and a powerful military to preempt any future foreign aggressions especially those from the US and its western allies. The US is not happy to see China's exceptional rapid development. They arrogantly believe that only the white people have the prerogative to development and to enjoy riches, wealth and glory. But every Asian country and every other country in this world has the right to progress and improve the livehood of their people. The United States feel a strong, rich and powerful China will prevent US from continuing its grave exploitation of the people of Asia, Africa and Latin America. It is this reluctance and inability of US and its western allies to accept China's phenominal rise and its wicked and evil plots to contain China's development which is the cause of all troubles, instabilities and wars in Asia and beyond. All other allegations about deterring China's ambition in Asia and the South China Sea is hogwash and hubris. It is a smoke screen, a veil to cover US monstrous objective to hold sway over Asia and the Pacific cum Indian Ocean region under continuous US domination and hegemony. This can be seen in the over 400 US military bases in the Pacific Ocean region in Japan, Korea, Guam, the Philippines, the Marshall Islands and the Bikini Islands as well as Diego Garcia Islands in the Indian Ocean.
China's position in the East China Sea and South China Sea is clear and transparent. The Chinese islands of Diau Yudao in the East China Sea, the Paracel Islands, the Spratly Islands, the Pratas Islands and all other smaller islands, shoals and islets in the South China Sea were occupied by Japan during the Second World War. However, after the Second World War all these islands were legally returned to China by the United Nations Organization under the Cairo and Potsdam treaties duly signed by all the great powers inclusive of US, UK, Russia, China and Japan. Pretending to forget or ignore these legal bound international treaties doesn't make any difference to China's absolute sovereignty over all these Chinese territorial islands and seas in the South China Sea region. The Evil Empire should stop instigating the littoral states in the region to make false illegal claims to Chinese territorial islands and seas.
However, after the Korean War 1950-1953 and the Indo-China War 1965 - 1975 the US illegally handed the Diau Yudao to Japan and then sabotage and undermine China's sovereignty over the South China Sea islands by promoting the insidious United Nations Convention of the International Laws of the Seas in 1986 to create space for illegal claims on Chinese territorial seas and islands by the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Brunei and in a way Indonesia which claims part of the Chinese territorial seas around the Spratly Islands. All these silly illegal and illicit claims took place at the instigation and goading of the United States.

US has stated openly that it intends to increase tension against China in the Asia-Pacific region after the end of the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak by increasing its armaments of new radar warning systems, more new cruise missiles, additional forces and new intelligence-sharing centres to improve and enhance US military's ability to confront and deter the People's Liberation Army. US Defence News stated clearly that its military and the Pentagon is preparing to face increase tensions against China amid the pandemic and the post pandemic. It stated that its current and former national security officials have strongly supported increase in its military power to shore up its illicit operations in the region. They intend to focus more urgently on threatening China's economy and military after the pandemic.
While in a threatening mood against China, US lawmakers and military strategists at the same time expressed fear of the accuracy of the powerful lethal Chinese missiles. It said US needs to disperse its forces in Asia other than those now largely concentrated in Japan, South Korea and Guam.
Where else can it disperse its forces? Vietnam will not entertain American forces in its territory for US aggression against China for it knows it doesn't pay to antagonize China. The Philippines, may be, may be not , depending on the whimsical judgements of the government of the day. Like Vietnam no sensible Philippino government will allow US forces to use its territory to launch attacks against China. The coronavirus was created by the United States military biological laboratories to kill Asians and Africans and especially to kill the Chinese whom the evil empire considered as its strategic competitor. However, the monstrous evil plot backfired and the coronavirus are now coming to America. But the USA leadership is indifferent because they strongly believe the virus was created to attack ethnic races only with the yellow skin or dark skin genes and would not attack white men. So with such strong belief they gingerly adopted a couldn't care less attitude. The epidemic is now engulfing the whole of the USA with great severity but the politicians are still quarrelling and fighting and Trump and his officials are only obsessed in demonizing China. Instead of fighting the deadly coronavirus pandemic the United States concentrates on demonizing China and bullying other countries like Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea and many more others.
Now the Trump administration find it hard to fight and contain the coronavirus. Being untrustworthy and irresponsible they try to deflect the people's attention from their inefficiency and incompetence in dealing with the pandemic by playing the blame game of accusing China and the World Health Organisation for all the faults except their own.
The Covid-19 may cause havoc to US economy, trade, commerce and finance. They may find it hard to extricate themselves from this havoc and coming economic disaster. The United States now has an unsolvable debt of about 28 trillion dollars and it is increasing every day. The fear now is the United States in desperation may start a war with China or Russia or attack any of the smaller weaker countries like Venezuella, Cuba, Iraq, Iran or North Korea to solve this critical crisis it created. But war will not solve their problem. It will deepen their crisis and hasten the end of US imperialism.
A New York Times report which is posted in Straits Times on Tuesday, 7th April, on page A16 stated. " US military seeks more funds for Pacific region, post - virus. Additional $29 b sought for 2021 - 26 to bolster deterrence against China once outbreak ends."
But why deter China? What is there to deter China? China has never attacked any other country and has no intention to do so. On the other hand China like many Asian countries has always been on the receiving end of Western aggressions and occupation. China has decided these western and American aggressions have to stop. In the last few decades China and the Chinese people have with grit and gumption simultaneously built up a strong economy and a powerful military to preempt any future foreign aggressions especially those from the US and its western allies. The US is not happy to see China's exceptional rapid development. They arrogantly believe that only the white people have the prerogative to development and to enjoy riches, wealth and glory. But every Asian country and every other country in this world has the right to progress and improve the livehood of their people. The United States feel a strong, rich and powerful China will prevent US from continuing its grave exploitation of the people of Asia, Africa and Latin America. It is this reluctance and inability of US and its western allies to accept China's phenominal rise and its wicked and evil plots to contain China's development which is the cause of all troubles, instabilities and wars in Asia and beyond. All other allegations about deterring China's ambition in Asia and the South China Sea is hogwash and hubris. It is a smoke screen, a veil to cover US monstrous objective to hold sway over Asia and the Pacific cum Indian Ocean region under continuous US domination and hegemony. This can be seen in the over 400 US military bases in the Pacific Ocean region in Japan, Korea, Guam, the Philippines, the Marshall Islands and the Bikini Islands as well as Diego Garcia Islands in the Indian Ocean.
China's position in the East China Sea and South China Sea is clear and transparent. The Chinese islands of Diau Yudao in the East China Sea, the Paracel Islands, the Spratly Islands, the Pratas Islands and all other smaller islands, shoals and islets in the South China Sea were occupied by Japan during the Second World War. However, after the Second World War all these islands were legally returned to China by the United Nations Organization under the Cairo and Potsdam treaties duly signed by all the great powers inclusive of US, UK, Russia, China and Japan. Pretending to forget or ignore these legal bound international treaties doesn't make any difference to China's absolute sovereignty over all these Chinese territorial islands and seas in the South China Sea region. The Evil Empire should stop instigating the littoral states in the region to make false illegal claims to Chinese territorial islands and seas.
However, after the Korean War 1950-1953 and the Indo-China War 1965 - 1975 the US illegally handed the Diau Yudao to Japan and then sabotage and undermine China's sovereignty over the South China Sea islands by promoting the insidious United Nations Convention of the International Laws of the Seas in 1986 to create space for illegal claims on Chinese territorial seas and islands by the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Brunei and in a way Indonesia which claims part of the Chinese territorial seas around the Spratly Islands. All these silly illegal and illicit claims took place at the instigation and goading of the United States.
China has always been the same China and it has always been in this part of Asia unlike US which came over from England to steal the North America continent from the native Americans after genociding almost all of them or around one hundred million of them in the last 300 years. China had not and has never expand its territories at others expense. On the contrary China had lost millions of square miles of territories to other countries like Russia, England, France, Japan and India during the century of humiliation from 1830s to 1940s.
China does not station any of her soldiers outside China and has no military bases overseas unlike the US which has over a thousand military bases all over the world. Surely the American military bases overseas are not for peace, With these military bases the United States has always threatened, bullied and took aggressive actions to force other countries big or small to submit to American dictatorship. America has always used its military might to exercise its illegal extra-territorial rights on other countries so as to secure their wealth and vast natural resources practically for free for the American elites, the Wall Street crooks and scoundrels and the Deep State of the Anglo-Saxon American Jewish Zionist Rothschild Illuminati Cabal.
US has stated openly that it intends to increase tension against China in the Asia-Pacific region after the end of the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak by increasing its armaments of new radar warning systems, more new cruise missiles, additional forces and new intelligence-sharing centres to improve and enhance US military's ability to confront and deter the People's Liberation Army. US Defence News stated clearly that its military and the Pentagon is preparing to face increase tensions against China amid the pandemic and the post pandemic. It stated that its current and former national security officials have strongly supported increase in its military power to shore up its illicit operations in the region. They intend to focus more urgently on threatening China's economy and military after the pandemic.
While in a threatening mood against China, US lawmakers and military strategists at the same time expressed fear of the accuracy of the powerful lethal Chinese missiles. It said US needs to disperse its forces in Asia other than those now largely concentrated in Japan, South Korea and Guam.
Where else can it disperse its forces? Vietnam will not entertain American forces in its territory for US aggression against China for it knows it doesn't pay to antagonize China. The Philippines, may be, may be not , depending on the whimsical judgements of the government of the day. Like Vietnam no sensible Philippino government will allow US forces to use its territory to launch attacks against China. Solidarity Payment - All Singaporeans would get $600, non Singaporeans also get $300
Last Monday, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat announced that all
adult Singaporeans aged 21 and above would receive a one-off Solidarity

A one-off payout of S$300 will also be given to permanent residents (PRs) aged 21 and above this year who have a Singaporean parent, spouse or child, said MOF.
The S$300 payout will also be given to Long-Term Visit Pass-Plus holders aged 21 and above this year. CNA
During this difficult time, every Singaporean is affected by shut down with some getting hurt more financially than others. PRs and non Singaporeans too would be affected but this is not our problem. Why should it be our problem?
For PRs with Singaporean spouses or children, giving them $300 is reasonable. But why the heck is the govt giving $300 to Long Term Visit Pass-Plus holders who are not citizens, not even PRs? Definitely never to NS.
Is this a case of too much money dunno what to do, or is this a case of OPM can anyhow give away? And don't forget, the reserves were built up by Singaporeans for Singaporeans and their future generations. Why is the govt giving money taken from our reserves to give to non citizens?

Covid19 - Should China sell medical supplies to pariah countries like Brazil?

Now why would China send medical help and supplies to such ungrateful and unfriendly countries? Brazil is not alone, there are the USA, Canada, Australia, to name a few. Do these pariah countries think that China has no choice and must send them the medical supplies, and they have all the choices to get them else where? The Americans have set up an airbridge to ferry badly needed medical supplies from China by flying several flights daily on this mission. And UK is asking for more ventilators from the Americans that are getting them from China.
The best thing for China is to ignore such countries and let them curse themselves to death. There is no need to be nice to unfriendly and hostile people and countries.

Covid19 - New solutions needed to lower the fear of foreign workers
Migrant workers in Singapore are living in fear following a surge of
coronavirus infections in their dormitories where they say cramped and
filthy conditions make social distancing impossible....
One worker from Bangladesh, who lives in a dorm where there are several known infections but has not yet been locked down, told AFP social distancing to halt the spread of the virus was not possible.
“One small room with 12 people living together… how can we make social distance?” the labourer said in English, on the condition of anonymity.
He said hygiene standards were poor and workers were forced to use a communal cooking area and bathroom....
‘Recipe for disaster’ -There are about 280,000 migrant construction workers in Singapore who mostly live in self-contained dorms, with shops and other facilities on-site. They are often located in less desirable parts of the city, meaning they mix little with Singaporeans....
Writing on Facebook, veteran Singapore diplomat Tommy Koh said it should be a “wake-up call to treat our indispensable foreign workers like a first world country should, and not in the disgraceful way in which they are treated now”....

From the above comments it is clear that many things have to be done to improve the conditions of the foreign workers working in Singapore. The location and size of the rooms in the dormitories need to change. Locate them nearer to the city or more desirable parts of Singapore where Singaporeans lived so that they don't feel being isolated, distanced, not wanted, rejected. They need love and acceptance and want to live among the Singaporeans, like Singaporeans. The 12 persons to a room must go. They should live like Singaporeans, 2 to a room max. They are in first world Singapore and should be treated like first world people, living like first world people in healthy and decent living quarters. How can they be made to live like the Sin kehs in the early 1900s?
The vacated flats due for demolition under SERS would come in very handy to give a new life to the migrant workers. 280,000, using a 3rm flat for computation, with 4 in a flat, only 70,000 flats would be needed. This should not pose a problem to HDB. They can always build more if not enough. It would be a boost to the construction industry. Then we would have happy first world workers from third world countries living with first world Singaporeans... and a happy ending as they live happily together forever. And the risk of virus infection would also be lower.
Seriously, is this the solution? What if the foreign workers go up to 500,000 or a million or more with the growing population to sell more flats and to consume more of everything, including essential services policies to push for GDP growth, there may be a need to build a few new towns for foreign workers for them to live like Singaporeans and enjoy the Singaporean standard of living.

Covid19 - Aren't Singapore lucky?
Singapore is so lucky not because the USA now has more than 330,000 confirmed cases of infection and we have less than 2,000. Singapore is lucky not because the USA and many countries have 10,000 or more Covid19 death when we only have 6. And no, Singapore is not lucky because we have the best millionaire politicians in charge of this pandemic.
Singapore is very lucky that this pandemic hits when it only has 5.8 million people in the island and has yet to build up to 6.9m. We are damn lucky that today we still did not have 10m or 20m population that some so called intellectuals are saying we could have them. Aren't Singapore so lucky that our problem is to manage the welfare of only 5.8m people in the midst of this horrendous pandemic? How would Singapore have fared today if there were 10m or 20m people in the island?
How much would be the infected cases, the number of death, the people going jobless, the amount of money needed to withdraw from the reserves to help the 5.8m people instead of 10m or 20m people? How much food and medical supplies and masks stockpile, hospital beds, medical staff, contact tracing staff, quarantine venues/facilities etc etc will be needed? Aren't Singapore lucky that someone is kind enough to let Singapore face this problem at this point in time and not later? Aren't Singapore so lucky to be given a preview of what kinds of problems it would face in the future with a population double what it is today?
This pandemic is like someone telling Singapore not to be greedy, not to be crazy, not to be so confident that it can manage a 10m or 20m population with a problem like this. This pandemic is not going to be the last. Many would come along and could be worse and the consequences and pains could be multiplied by the number of people in the island. This is a lesson to tell Singapore, while it still can change course, change its assumptions about growing and growing its population as if there are only benefits and not consequences in an unlimited and unrestrained population growth policy, that it cannot go down that path of no returns.
Aren't Singapore being so lucky that this has to happen now to pull the brake on its wild and reckless population growth policy, to be given time to seriously think about this wild ambition just to grow its GDP numbers by growing its population?

The latest one day increase of 287 is only the tip of the iceberg, only the eginning. Given the compact living space in the dormitories, given the foreign workers habit of close socialisation, enjoy close proximity, given that there are more than 300,000 of them here, once infected, a 30% infection rate is not too much to ask for. It could be 50%. At 30% we are looking at 100,000 cases. At 50% it is more than 150,000 cases. These are numbers that are not too far fetch from reality given the way this virus is spreading.
Prepare for the worse as this looks like inevitable. Do we have enough hospital beds, ventilators, medical staff, mortuary, masks etc etc? What would happen to the economy, joblessness, those who are living from paycheck to paycheck...?

Covid19 - Foreign workers clusters blossoming and spreading
There were 10 more cases at the S11 Dormitory @ Punggol, which now has a total of 98 confirmed cases.
At the Westlite Toh Guan dormitory, five additional cases were found to be linked to this cluster. There are a total of 34 confirmed cases here now.
Four additional cases were linked to the cluster at Toh Guan Dormitory, which has a total of 18 confirmed cases now. The dormitory is a newly declared isolation area.
The Sungei Tengah Lodge had 12 new cases linked to the cluster, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 18.
At the Tampines Dormitory cluster, eight additional cases were found, bringing the total there to 17.
In total, six more cases were linked to the Cochrane Lodge I and Cochrane Lodge II clusters, both in Admiralty Road West. Both places have a total of 12 confirmed cases.
There were three more links to the cluster at a construction site at Project Glory, which has a total of 21 confirmed cases now.
Seven additional cases were linked to the cluster at Mustafa Centre, which now has a total of 45 confirmed cases.
Three more cases were linked to the cluster at Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home, which now which has a total of 16 cases.... CNA
From the above there are more than 200 foreign workers affected by the virus and this number is growing. It may look insignificant given the millions of foreign workers here, but it is big enough amber to start a big fire. The only fortunate thing is that they have clearly defined place of lodging. If these workers are residing freely all over the housing estates, my God, the number of infection would be grossly amplified and impossible to trace.
Pray that this problem is contained. And the partial lockdown on non essential activities and businesses is very necessary to keep the foreign workers from moving around and spreading the virus.
The unfortunate thing is that there is no medicine to treat this virus at the moment and their recovery is mainly dependent on their own immune system and unproven medicine that were used to treat them.
The number of clusters even among the foreign workers is growing dramatically.

Yaacob Ibrahim was upbraided on social media today for attributing the
emptying of a green space of migrant workers to the coronavirus.
Several
people accused the former communications and information minister of
xenophobia for citing the “inconvenience” caused by workers in a Sunday
post about the empty field that is usually occupied by “foreign domestic

With 2 over millions foreigners here, dunno who brought so many here, it is very difficult not to see foreigners in public places in huge numbers. The ratio now is about 1.5 Singaporeans to 1 foreigners or every 5 people, 2 are foreigners. Could be 1 to 1 if new citizens are included.
Looks like ordinary Singaporeans are not the only ones getting very uncomfortable and unbearable with the presence of so many foreigners. But what to do when they did not know how to use their votes to bring down the number of foreigners in their homeland.
PS Yesterday's 142 case of new infection is a new record coming after April Fool's Day with a partial lockdown that is proving to be a bit too late, too little to stop the explosion. Too much praises from world leaders is nice and infectious too.

Covid19 -Trump screws Canada's boy PM
After happily conspiring with Trump to arrest Huawei's CFO, boy PM Trudeau and girly FM Freeland were so happy to be on the good books of Trump. They had done what Trump wanted them to do, ingratiated to Trump and think Trump will be nice to them and Canada. It does not take long for Trump to show them his true colour, Americans first come what may. Whatever silly things the Canadians did for him mean nothing.
The USA is desperate for medical supplies and N95 masks are facing huge shortage. Trump not only stole the consignments from 3M, China destined for France and Germany, he ordered 3M to stop exporting to Canada. Canada is also short of these masks and desperately trying to get their hands on them. What Trump did was a tight slap on the faces of Trudeau and Freeland. The two kids are angry but hapless. They could not do anything about it. Trudeau said he would not retaliate.
This is just retribution for sleeping with Devil. The Devil has turned around to screw them real hard and the sick Canadians are going to pay for their naivity and silliness to conspire with Trump. Can they go begging China for N95 masks? What would China say to these two dumb kids?
The only way to redeem themselves now is to distance from Trump and send the Huawei CFO home to China. That may save them some time and get the Chinese to offer them some aid. Anything less will not work.

Covid19 - 20,000 men under 14 days lockdown in dormitories
On April 1st I asked whether it was a fools day or a day of wisdom to decide tougher measures in view of the community spread that is getting more serious. 3 days later the govt announced that there will be a partial lockdown, called circuit breaker on 7 April. The semi lockdown is one week late. In the meantime we saw the biggest one day infection rate of 120 cases on 5 April and two workers domitories being declared as isolation centres. All in 20,000 foreign workers would be lockdown in the two dormitories after two big clusters emerged from them, ie the S11 Dormitory in Seletar North (13,000 men) and the Westlite Toh Guan dormitory(7,000 men) in Toh Guan Road. S11 has 63 confirmed cases while Toh Guan has 28 cases at this moment of writing(6 April).
The locking down of 20,000 workers is only the first step. Now contact tracing of the workers' companion should be on the way, many are foreign maids. This would be linked directly to their employers and their respective families. The possibility of the workers' companion being tested positive is high, and so will be their respective employers. How big these two clusters will be only time will tell.
And this is only the beginning of the problem, 20,000 people isolated. This brings to mind the isolation and containment of several thousand holiday makers in the cruise ships. The situation is quite similar and the risk as well. How many more of these workers in the isolation centres would eventually also be infected? If the experience of what happened in the cruise is to be repeated, the situation is dire.
If, I say if, the infection rate picks up and the workers in the centres are stricken by fear that they too would get infected, the big question is whether they would do a breakout. This likelihood is going to pose a big security problem to the gate keepers. How to guard and prevent a breakout of 10,000 to 20,000 foreigner workers fearing for their lives? These are not sophisticated people but poorly educated villagers and getting hysteria, being very frighten and running wild cannot be ruled out.
How many police or soldiers would be needed to guard these interned workers? If this thing explodes, it would be many times more serious than the Little India Incident and many times more difficult to control and to bring them back to an isolation centre. If there is a breakout and with some already infected, it would be a very serious problem. Controlling 20,000 people that are stricken with fear and panicking would need many times more manpower to do so unless the centres are secured before hand with effective barriers to reduce the workload of the gate keepers.
This is a hot potato and managing it is not easy when hell breaks loose. When they are so frighten and decide to run for their lives....

The above video clip by CGTN hosted by Liu Xin exposed the dirty western media in reporting everything that is bad about China no matter what China did to help the rest of the world in this pandemic.
China is running its medical supplies full steam to produce all the medical supplies needed by is being condemned by western media for doing so, condemning Chinese products, Chinese intent, Chinese manufacturers are profiting etc etc.
They would not say a good word for China. What would they say if China stop producing these products for the affected countries? On one hand they would not hesitate to grab all the medical supplies given by China. On the other hand they would bad mouth China. These are sick countries, sick people.
Evilness would get their evil karma for sure.
Should China stop exporting these medical supplies to those countries begging for them? Should China stop sending any medical supplies to the USA?
China should tell those unfriendly countries, go away, we are not selling to your countries. Go and ask Trump to help you.

Many of the medical supplies from China were pure donations and others were sold often at cost or below market prices. But mischievous western media have been attacking China non stop and smearing and demonising China for helping the affected countries.
The Americans only claimed that they are going to send supplies to help Italy, France and Spain but nothing was sent. The truth is that it is Americans First and the Americans have been seizing medical supplies bought by European countries, hijacking them direct from the airport tarmac and scooted to the USA. These are what the Americans called helping other countries. Germany has called it piracy. Below are some examples of American hypocrisies and treachery.

Covid19 - Dorscon Pink in Singapore
Singapore is under the state of Dorscon Pink. I am not sure if this is official. I have yet to hear anyone mentioning about a Pink state of affair. I am not sure if the above chart is official. It could be.
Dorscon Pink is a circuit breaker state. It trips while trying to surge to Dorscon Red. Now Red is a very alarming and emotional colour. Many people could become hysterical, in a state of fear. Dorscon Red is a lockdown. Pink is half way there, nearly there but not there. People can still move around doing essential things, buying food, seeing doctors, banking but not socialising, drinking, partying or gossiping in the kopitiam. Movement of people, contact of people will be kept to a minimum and only when absolutely necessary. Non essential services will be shut down.
The situation is getting serious for sure. I am not sure if Pink is the colour that would keep us safe. Can Singapore continue to keep new infected cases below 100 a day and avoid an exponential increase and become an Italy, Spain or New York? The responsibility and effectiveness now rest on the team of contact tracing staff. They need to act very fast and to trace everyone that has been in contact with an infected guy. Anyone that has been infected and walking free is a spreader walking free. One day out there means many people to share the virus. Dorscon Pink by asking everyone to stay home could limit the exposure a bit but not a complete isolation.
Let's pray that the team would not miss anyone out there walking freely with the virus in him. Let's watch the number in the next 7 days to see if community spread is growing or shrinking. If things did not improve, the next improvise state would be Dark Pink or another shade of Pink. No Red, never.
PS. After yesterday's numbers, with more and more clusters appearing, the situation is not looking on. Would this circuit breaker, Dorscon Pink, be a little too late and make things worse? Do not listen to clown Trump, this thing would not miraculously go away so easily.

Their capacity for love, sympathy and endurance, unfazed by the fatal experience of their fellows, defines who they truly are; tending to the sick and suffering in what they do. It is more than just a job or a passion. It is the conviction of their calling. This is their creed.... Their hospital workplace is a battlefield of germs, and the SARS virus is merely the latest, though not the deadliest, to enjoin the daily battles”. “They perform their tasks with effortless cheer, as they fight the bugs to the end with every trick, knowledge and passion to make a difference to the comfort of the sick and unwell. The nurse is also the doctor’s guard against forgetfulness, ever-present and questioning conscience; his skilled right arm”. “We must [in 2020] today reward our COVID19 nurses more, to demonstrate the sincerity of our messages of gratitude and thanks, failing which ... the compliments would be just empty symbols.” Our Nurses truly deserve more, much more than just our applause!
