Sunday is a time to remember the commandments

Ten commandments of Paradise

Thou shalt only believe in one party
Thou shalt not worship soap parties
Thou shalt not misuse the party’s name
Thou shalt work 6 days and rest one day
Thou shalt honour the father and mother
Thou shalt not kill your enemies
Thou shalt not commit adultery
Thou shalt not tell falsehood as truth
Thou shalt not steal the people’s money
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s CPF

Thou shalt not kill your enemies.
But you can sue him until he leaves the country or go bankrupt.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s CPF.
But you can keep thinking of new ways to prevent him from getting his hands on his CPF.

Thou shalt honour the father and mother.
But mostly the father.

Buddha's ten precepts
* be liberal and avoid selfishness,
* maintain a high moral character,
* be prepared to sacrifice one's own pleasure for the well-being of the subjects,
* be honest and maintain absolute integrity,
* be kind and gentle,
* lead a simple life for the subjects to emulate,
* be free from hatred of any kind,
* exercise non-violence,
* practice patience, and
* respect public opinion to promote peace and harmony.

Wonder how the PAP will score based on these precepts.

An interpretation

Buddha's ten precepts
* be liberal and avoid selfishness,
(share the country with foreigners)
* maintain a high moral character,
(do not have affairs)
* be prepared to sacrifice one's own pleasure for the well-being of the subjects,
(become politicians)
* be honest and maintain absolute integrity,
(always tell your version of truth and interpret the law to your best interest)
* be kind and gentle,
(just let your enemies live in other countries)
* lead a simple life for the subjects to emulate,
(set an example of thrifty living with $50k pm)
* be free from hatred of any kind,
(do not fix up your enemies)
* exercise non-violence,
(rule by law)
* practice patience,
(take a long term approach)
and
* respect public opinion to promote peace and harmony.(set up feedback units and speaker's corners)

Thrifty? What? Buying a 2nd hand car for $20k over a $200k new car is thrifty.

Anyone whose pay gets downgraded from$250K pm to $50k pm is not thrifty or has no need to be thrifty or unlikely be thrifty.

$ 50k pm is still a luxury and no where close to a "simple life". Eating Ikan billis for all your meals is "simple life". With $50k pm, whole family can enjoy a sumptious buffet lunch in 5 stars hotel every day(31 days) and still have money left over many times more than your average graduate income.

Moral of the story?

You can't even trust the elaborate to be honest.

The mistake was when you send a man up there, he comes down and offers you only one option and you are back to square one.

And the people are still searching for the resting place.

agongkia, commandments are meant to be broken.

As for working 6 days and one day break, forgot to add that it applies to maids only.

Haha, market2garden,

Nothing is rubbish, nothing is truth. It is only in the mind of the receiver.

In a beautiful mind, rubbish can be wisdom. In a dull mind, truth can be rubbish.

Sadly, in Paradise, there's only One Party.
"I am the Lord your God ..."
"You shall have no other gods but me."
