Covid-19 Vaccination: A Penny For Your Thought

A penny for your thought. If you need more pennies, think hard.
If you need millions, think harder.
If you need billions, think hardest.
All the thinking is nothing but pennies.

The big pharmaceutical companies can show you how to think without much efforts.
All they need to do is to create fear and greed.
These two common commodities, without fail, always work wonders for both the smart and the stupid.

One benefits, the other takes the risks.
That's why there is this mantra right from the very beginning:
"Benefits outweigh the risks!"

Think again and again and again.
A penny for your thought.
If you need pennies,
Especially the hard-up IBs,
Tell the world,
What do you think?

NTUC FairPrice or UnfairPrice? Up To You To Think

"NETIZEN SAYS NTUC ‘FAIRPRICE SHOULD CHANGE NAME TO UNFAIRPRICE’ AFTER ANOTHER VIDEO SURFACES SHOWING 176G SALMON LABELLED 296G." ~ Headline from the Independent blog published yesterday.

If Netizens and NTUC customers and patrons are alert, discerning and perceptive enough, they would have noticed that the NTUC FairPrice has already changed their name on the sign board outside their supermarket outlets as U-FairPrice. This has happened at least 10 years ago, when their prices started to go higher than other supermarkets' prices, except for a few items that serve as gimmicks to attract the unaware and hard-core customers.

Take a closer look at their signboard and logo and you will see it clearly.

You should notice that a larger letter "U" in red has been placed with the word "FairPrice".

That is NTUC's clever and subtle way of telling you, the would-be customers and regular customers, that their prices are no more fair!

Stop being daft and dull. Be alert, discerning, perceptive and smart! Going forward, this is the only way to survive in a highly challenging, deceptive and expensive environment (CDEE) which Singapore has become.

WAKE UP!

Singapore conservatively reported 10,314 new Covid-19 cases as of noon on Wednesday (Feb 9), comprising 10,175 locals (Citizens and Residents) and 139 happily imported infections.

There were four more deaths. This takes the death toll from coronavirus infections to 157 per million, higher than Japan and South Korea.

In fact, the highest death toll in Asia! Another first for Singapore!

What a great achievement for the MTF and the Minister for Hell, oops Health! How not to become the next PM?

Before Budget sure increased GST rates, own fellow FAKE capitalists Sinkies like that WSG and that MatiLah both in cross talks like China's Cross Talk Comedians (I suspect same Matilah as ONE just boasting his ill-gotten imaginary wealth) already UP their fast forward GST increases.

Then, later that BULLSHITS NTUC which already had Daft Sinkies believing in them that they are absorbing the GST rates for another year or so to have them coming to their outlets.

Called Themselves Fellow Singaporeans but slaughtered one another.

So much for Nation Building and National Slavery.

See China. Their Peoples as ONE for Good And Bad Times.

So much for FAKE DEMO CRAZY.

Virgo49,

That WSG is Matilah, one same person. Because when Matilah was banned by RB, the WSG also disappeared and when Matilah came back again by the generosity and curtesy of RB, the WSG also appeared simultaneously.

I don't think of it as a coincidence. They are the same person. Matilah also posts as Anonymous as well. You can detect that through his style and manner, which are hard to change.

@ 1047 & Virgo

Sure, I posted anonymously yesterday cos at the time I was using a computer that isn't mine. There's NO WAY IN HELL I would use my login details on a machine I
haven't vetted and secured myself. Good "digital hygiene lah" 😎

No, I don't play silly games and try to be multiple personalities. I have 2 monickers IMAGOD, and Matilah_Singapura. If you search you'll find I've had these 2 monickers for well over 20 years.

Why don't I play silly multi-identity games? Simple. I use forums as "interactive notebooks". There's a topic, I respond. I put down my ideas, and perhaps some humour occasionally.

For e.g. You can search this blog for the numerous posts on ROBOTICS made donkey's ears ago, well before one could ever imagine robots would be visible all over Singapore or doing any of the tasks so that businesses don't have to waste money paying inefficient humans who over-estimate the worth of their labour...or who think "the world owes them a living" and consider being employed is "a right".

I warned folks that this was coming, and no one cared. Thankfully, using Google search I can look up those old articles if I need to clip ideas for use elsewhere.

If I used multi identities or anons, the google search for posts would be more lecheh, and cost me more in time to do.

Another added benefit to using my "real" avatars is that people who don't like me can just skip over my posts. You're welcome 😂

To repeat myself like a broken record: I am BIG on self-interest. I write for ME, exclusively.

I don't care one bit on anything beyond my control. On this blog, I cannot control the will of others. If RB bans me, I cannot control that. If people don't like what I say, I can't control that. If crafting "conspiracy theories" about me makes them happy, I can't control that...it's their time to waste on nonsense; none of my business 😝

Cases may rise or drop on a day to day basis. That is the nature of a case driven testing.

But the weekly momentum has been increasing after having fallen.

Perhaps it is the CNY festivities and social gatherings that have given a fresh impetus to the new cases.

But it is also the nature of the Omicron and the less than 100% protection against infection from vaccination.

All of us are expected to meet the Omicron sooner or later within the next few days, weeks or months.

Many will be asymptomatic. Vaccination does help prevent symptomatic infection in many cases. Wearing of masks will also reduce the viral intake and hence we would be more likely to be mild or asymptomatic.

Others would have very bad sore throats, or very bad headaches from the Omicron. Or they could have fever and a rough throat.

Children may have diarrhoea, while adults may see other less common symptoms like aches and chills, or nausea.

We should not be surprised that the numbers can rise again, and break the 15,000 or 20,000 mark.

Countries in Europe and elsewhere are breaking the 100,000 mark as their Omicron peaks are 2-3 times or more than their previous record peaks during theIr Delta waves.

Likewise, we could expect to see much bigger numbers of Omicron cases.

But with vaccination and esp with boosting, covid is likely mild, and some feeling like a very bad flu.

Vaccination has reduced the risk of covid from 20 times that of flu, down to 2 times that of flu. Boosting would reduce that further.

So on average, covid risks is like that of a bad flu.

For kids, covid started as a much milder impact for kids and young children, compared to flu. So that was a real blessing, and a big big difference compared to a flu pandemic.

So let’s stay calm even when numbers cross the 20,000 mark.

Continue to encourage the unvaccinated to vaccinate, and help the unboosted to boost.

But otherwise, we can move steadily to relax the various SMM over the next few months, esp as more of our kids are vaccinated too.

For the oxygen, ICU and deaths, we should expect the numbers to climb, as a lagging result of the Omicron case numbers.

As we have seen elsewhere, even when the case numbers have crested and began falling, fatalities continue to rise, sometimes as much as 50%, and will peak later.

But on average, fatalities will be much more like what we have seem for flu, and lower than for deaths from leading causes like heart failure, stroke or cancers.

We see about 10-12 deaths daily from pneumonia; another 8-12 deaths from heart disease; 15-20 deaths daily from cancer; 3-4 deaths from stroke; etc.

In total, we see about 50-60 deaths daily from all causes during the 3 years before covid pandemic.

That is the nature of life and death - and the inevitable end of life.

On the whole, unlike many countries hit hard by covid, Sg does not have excess deaths.

Excess deaths are additional numbers of death during the pandemic, over and above what is expected to be the normal number of deaths from all other non covid causes.

We have managed like a few other countries, to keep below even the normal number of total deaths expected.

This is partly bcos the safe management measures have reduced infections and risk of deaths from diseases like flu.

So keep well, folks, and stay calm as we surf through the Omicron peaks and transit into the post Omicron world.

Mdm Ho is here again. Curiously, why so persistent to post here?

The more she writes, the more we read in between the lines and what was not said but should be said.

What she did not say are as important, if not more important, than what she has been repeating again and again.

Her pet subjects are clearly Vaccination and Booster Shots. Why?

Covid-19 Vaccines: Remember The Thalidomide Drug?

Thalidomide was first marketed in 1957 in West Germany, where it was available over the counter.

When first released, thalidomide was promoted for anxiety, trouble sleeping, “tension”, and morning sickness.

While it was initially thought to be safe in pregnancy, concerns regarding birth defects arose subsequently and the medication was removed from the market in Europe in 1961.

The total number of infants affected by the use of this drug during pregnancy is estimated at 10,000, of which about 40% died at or just before the time of birth.

Those who survived had limb, eye, urinary tract, and heart problems.

Its initial entry into the US market was prevented by Frances Kelsey, a reviewer at the FDA.

The birth defects caused by thalidomide led to the development of greater drug regulations and monitoring in many countries.

Why is the mRNA drug approved in such double quick time and widely promoted, with usage enforced by governments the world over, without so much as giving a little thought to the possible serious lasting effects to the human body and future generations?

That is called irresponsible government leaders.

Owing to their own fear, despair and desperation for not being able to contain the spread of their Covid-19 disease, they simply grasp at anything the comes along like a floating straw, throwing all cares to the wind, simply swallowed wholesale the words of the big, greedy, profit-oriented pharmaceutical businessmen and marketing experts, not Covid-19 experts because until now there is still no such experts existing because the real experts are all dead, died from Covid-19 infections.

Hope you and your husband are still around when we enter the post Omicron or post Covid-19 world. Hope you yourself keep well and not get infected by the Covid-19 and succumbed to the effects and complications that may arise.

Vaccination is not compulsory in Singapore, but from Feb 14, people who are 18 and older will need to have taken a booster shot within 270 days of completing their primary vaccination series in order to be considered fully vaccinated against Covid-19. The ministry had announced this on Jan 5.

Why? Why? Why?

The MTF Ministers, especially the Health Minister Ong Ye Kung must give scientifically viable and justifiable explanation and qualification as to why everybody above the age of 12 must have a booster shot from Feb 14 onwards.

Is it because the expiry date of the Pfizer vaccines in the cold storage are running out and very expensive to maintain for longer period? If this is not the real reason, why is the government in such a hurry to get people to risk their lives by getting the booster shot (third shot).

The Minister must also highlight the possible long-term effects and consequences from the mRNA vaccines and promises to take full responsibility when and if mishaps happened in the future to those who took the mRNA vaccines. The public must be allowed to sue the Minister and the government for compensations. This is of paramount and utmost importance. Th

PAP SUCCESSION

A brief statement referring to the two competitors for the PM Post:

“BY ALL ACCOUNTS, THE TWO MEN DON’T GET ALONG.

ONE WOULD NOT BE HAPPY TO BE SUBORDINATE TO THE OTHER.

THE TWO OF THEM ARE NEITHER THAT BRILLIANT NOR OBJECTIONABLE.

THEY ARE ABOUT THE SAME.

THE 4G ARE JUST A VERY UNINSPIRING LOT,”

SAID THE “WELL-PLACED” SOURCE FROM WITHIN THE PAP CARD-HOLDERS.

Who do you think the statement is referring to?

What do you think of the statement?

Do you agree or not?

If yes, why? If no, why?
