Ram Puneet Tiwary – Did he or did he not?

Ram Tiwary is writing a book about his ordeal in court and in jail. He was found guilty of killing two SAF scholars in Sydney in 2003. He appealed and was finally acquitted in 2012 after serving terms behind bars.

Today he has written a book that said he is innocent. The two young scholars have been dead for years. Dreams were dashed and hopes turned to agonies for the parents and wives. Many hearts were broken. The deep scars of hurt were still there, and now reopen, and bleeding again. Two young men died and one young man wrote a book about it. With a big question mark hanging in the air, is it not insensitive to splash this piece of news on the front page of a local media?

Legally Tiwary is innocent, the Aussie court has acquitted him, the injustice done to this man and the pain and wrong done to him in prison cannot be compensated in any kind.

If there was a miscarriage of justice, I dunno what to say. The families of the families must be fuming. What is the painful truth? Why made a big splash on this issue? Is this a proper thing to do given the circumstances? Anyone spare a thought on how the two families feel?

If the court finds him innocent, then he is innocent. We have to trust the Australian court to be fair and just. speed.

The prosecutor did not appeal against the acquittal finding but reserves the right to reopen the case if there is fresh evidence. The acquittal was due to lack of sufficient evidence, not a confirmation that he did not do it.

He was found guilty in the first place and had served 8 years in jail for it. The truth is still out there.

Because there are so many SAF scholars in parliament and GLCs;
my feelings about Tiwary are somewhat ambiguous and ambivalent.

We have to trust the Australian courts just like we trust our Singapore courts. SlowMo.

A court can only find an accused guilty if there are sufficient evidence to prove guilt. Only in exceptional cases when the court will use circumstantial evidence to convict a person.

Many criminals walked free for some reasons even though there were ample evidence of guilt but the prosecutor could not prove his case.

Classic case in the US when a court can dismiss a case on grounds that the officer did not explain the rights to the accused.

It is very obvious OJ Simpson did murdered his wife. OJ later publish a book insinuating he murdered. Nothing can be done to bring OJ to justice.

- Wake up. Right from the beginning, this is a selfish world. Few care or feel for one another. It is all about power and money.

I have followed the reports from the beginning. Do you folks know that a bloody knife is missing from the crime scene? This, to me, is halfway to certain that the killer(s) had fled the scene.

What do I feel about the families? Well, if anything, they had a big part in the blind persecution of Tiwari and therefore bear a large responsibility for the real killers not being found.

They are SAF scholars. So likely they would be in charge of some white elephant PAP projects by now.

HLP is the only place to "protest" without ending with the "whole machinery all over protesters' heads and what have YEW"?

Have YEW not heard of the "HAMAS" "using children, women and old folks " as human shield against "missiles" ?

As much as it is not right to "frighten" special needs kids with "sound from a protest ", would it have made sense to hold such a charity event say in "ISIS controlled territory in IRAQ AND SYRIA " and "blame the whole world " if the "kids" are frightened?

Similarly, if YEW would not make sense to hold a children's charity in "war zone ", does it make sense to have it at a "protest site "?

Unless the intention is similar to "HAMAS" to use the "kids" as "human shield "?

Who is more "EVIL" ?

Pls KEE CHIU if YEW have the answer?

Okay, I just finished reading the book.
All I can say is: WTF?!!!

There were SO many leads that the police squandered!
There were instances where the detectives were caught lying under oath in court!
There was evidence that cleared the guy which the police HID!!

Aus or Sg, nowhere will simply release someone. If this guy's released, obviously there was solid reason for the judges to.

More than anything, now I hate Aus police! A lot of ppl will comment, but unless you read what actually happened (Tiwary uses the police statements etc in the book), maybe you should wait a little bit...
