The Minuteman was developed in the 1960s using research material left behind by Qian Xuesen. It is still the main missile force of the Americans, using 1960s technology. And without any new technology to replace the ageing fleet, the whole fleet of Minuteman would have to be scrapped when their life expired. The Americans would then left with no ICBM to boot or to brag about.
China on the other hand has ran ahead by leaps and bounds with DF16, DF17, DF21, DF26, and DF41, all up to date technology, including hypersonic missiles. Even the so called best cruise missiles of the Americans like Harpoons and the Tomahawks were based on 1970s technology.
Without the input and contributions of Chinese scientists and experts, the American missile technology has gone the way of the dodo bird. There is no way for the Americans to continue to bluff and lie to the world about its missile fleet and technology. In this field, China has not only triumphed over the Americans, but left them in the rear mirror and disappearing to oblivion. The Minuteman would soon become scrap metals.
The American submarine launched Poseidon missiles were also of 1970 and 1980 vintage. They were the most advanced system then, but not now. China's missiles are hypersonic and indefensible, their capabilities boosted by the latest AI technology, 21st Century technology. Of course American 1960 and 1970 technology were very advanced, more advanced than their technology today. They could go to and return from the moon with 1960 and 1970 technology but not with today's technology. You can figure out how is this possible. But the Americans are not returning to embrace their aged 1960 and 1970 technology that worked and stupidly trying to use their modern technology that would not work. Are the Americans nuts? Or they were lying all the time?

Besides the UAssA Dinosaurs Miltary Arsenals their half past six Armies who in any wars and invasions would not dare faced the enemies in close combats fighting and only do mopping up operations after their Air Fighters bombed the other side to debris.
They could do thus only to those who have no chance of countering their Air Forces and even in ground combats after their initial waves they could not even able to fight those guerilla fighting peasants and civilians
Cannot fight against the Vietcongs and Afghans.
To add insults to injuries their Navies also caught fires and hits what's whales with their half past six so called Superior Feets oops Fleets.
Their Admirer of their Feet only admires the South China Seas and won't dare to go too near the PLN Fleets.
China's Superior Hypersonic Missles will have the UAssA little flay land into dust and cinders and charcoals if they itched for a War.

Now talking about F16's being the new game changer. Putin said Russia will shoot down every F16 over Ukraine. And Russia will attack those Nato countries where such F16 took off from to attack Russian troops. Nothing to prevent Russia from doing so, since such Nato countries are involved directly in the war.
What else is not aging in the USA? Presidential candidates are aging, Infrastructures are aging. Military equipment is aging. The democratic system is aging and out of ideas to tackle homelessness, drug infestation, the economy, the banking system and the foreign policy playbook needs upgrading.
I guess the printing of toilet papers has not aged. More robust in fact to keep up with the diarrhea or 'lao sai'.
It would be more strategically advantages for China not to burst the superiority complex bubble of the USA in military hardware. Let them strut their stuff and continue to enjoy living in their world of fantasy as top of the food chain in military weapons.
The decades of having this superiority complex that China can never catch up is already turning into a myth in other areas, and that is hitting them like a bolt of lightning.
The only area not yet closely matched up is in military hardware comparison, which may yet bring out the biggest surprise for the USA. There are known knowns. There are also known unknowns. And there are unknown unknowns to make it more interesting. The USA is the top gun and wants to be the top gun, so let them enjoy global adulation for a while longer.
