That narrative by Yellen that China can do business with
Russia 'provided it does not support the Russian War effort' is telling
us something extremely sinister. That is almost amounting to saying
that China and Russia cannot do any business at all. Grandma Yellen is
cunningly blindsiding China.
Let me ask a simple question. Is any
business or trade that involves payment to Russia not helping the
Russian War effort? Oh, lest I forget, that is bilateral trade using
Yuan, not US$ and is helping de-dollarisation move and not good for the
USA and that loophole must be plugged as well.
Therefore, paying
Russia for energy can also be construed as one big help that China is
giving Russia. And the USA is going to use this as an excuse to stop
China from buying Russian oil and gas. But not so fast. Russia and China
can always do barter trade - energy for infrastructure. The USA cannot
argue that infrastructure is part of Chinese aid for the Russian war
effort. But never discount what the USA can invent to thwart all that.
The USA is not called the 'Empire of Lies' for nothing.
What
about India? Is India not helping the Russian War effort as well by
buying Russian energy? Why didn't Yellen go after India first?
The
USA is using 'trade terrorism' against Sovereign countries that have
been doing business with each other for years, even decades.

USA may even want to control farts by Putin and Xi, LOL. Putin and Xi may have to ask the USA for permission to fart.
When all propaganda and lies fail to work on Xi and Putin, the USA is going to argue that those farts pollute the air that will be blown across the Pacific Ocean into the White House and permission must be sought from the USA for them to fart.
Funny though, Biden looks to be high on drugs with dropping eyelids and disorientated each time he goes on TV. Perhaps he may want to smell those farts, to replace his drug usage habit suspected inside the White House. Drug smuggling into the White House is now closely monitored, after that incident of drugs found left inside the White House. Everybody had been guessing who put them there and who is using it. They should by now have found out the perpetrators, but the results are classified and will only be declassified after seventy years, LOEL.

The USA is perceptively desperate and starting to hype up the narrative about China trading with Russia as helping the Russian war machine and hoping to use that to create a split in the close Russia/China relationship. Every propagandistic attempt to achieve that had failed and instead making China and Russia moving even closer. China's trade in machine tools, chips and energy, sharing of telecommunication expertise, provision of satellite imagery had been going on for years, even decades. Why must China and Russia change that now to accommodate USA's demand, not to mention that the USA is going all out to decouple from China?
Lavrov is in China and even given an audience with Xi, presumably to prepare for another summit between Putin and Xi later. That face-to-face privilege had not been extended to Yellen. This has not been unaware by those watching, that Xi is ignoring her. After all, Xi knows that nothing good is going to come out of the uninvited visit by Yellen, nothing but demands and threats, that are not going to work. As the Chinese saying goes - 'those that are pious will not come, and those that come 'uninvited' are not pious'.
China will continue its trade relations with Russia and does not fear the serious consequences that Yellen had threatened. The Chinese know that decoupling is now escalating and picking up pace, despite the denials by the USA, and the USA market and vis-a-vis the European market as well is going to be closed for China eventually. The renewed investigations into Chinese EVs, solar panels and TikTok among others tells the whole story of what is to come for Chinese companies exporting and doing business in the USA and EU.
For China, the Global South is now where their priority now lies for their expansion. Africa and South America are providing all the avenues for Chinese companies to invest in or relocate. In fact, Chinese companies already are big investors in South America, especially in Mexico for years, building factories to produce Chinese goods, branded as Made in Mexico to avoid the tariffs. There are always loopholes to exploit and China is exploiting them, in Vietnam, Bangladesh and ASEAN as well. The world is so interdependent, and trade is so globalised that companies are at liberty to set up businesses anywhere and are welcomed with investments. All it takes is the label to show that the product is made not in China to avoid those tariffs. How difficult is that to achieve?
If the USA and the West can do nothing about Kim Jong Urn sending weapons to Russia, what can the USA do to China doing the same? After all, the USA is so focused on decoupling from China. It is because of the arrogant, intimidating and condescending attitude of the USA and the West that they have encountered all the resentment and failure of their foreign policies. Everything is coming back to haunt them - the Ukraine War and the Middle East fiasco are perfect examples. And there is the debt problem.

And that is how they are going around the problem of prying ASEAN away from China's influence.
