Pilots offered counseling after encounters with Chinese jets
Pilots of Royal Australian Air Force are being offered psychological assistance after aerial encounters with Chinese warplanes over the South China Sea, RAAF Air Commander, Air Vice Marshal Darren Goldie has said.
“The mental health of our aviators and people… coming in contact with things like intercepts or challenges on the radio… it's important that when we bring them back, we talk to them about the experience,” Goldie told ABC on Sunday.
The RAAF keeps pilots informed about “what services are available, should they be troubled by the experiences they saw,” he added. RT

When I read this article in RT I thought it was fake news, a joke or something like that. On reading further I realised that this was a serious matter. No joking or laughing matter. Australian pilots encountering Chinese pilots in the South China Sea is a traumatic experience to the extend that some may go bonkers and need psychiatric help. Wow, this is serious. They must have thought they have seen aliens or Gods when encountering the Chinese pilots.
My first impression must be that the pilots just graduated from kindergartens and probably less than 9 years old. They were not in a fight for their life. They just happened to see the Chinese pilots and the big ocean, and they are in a state of shock. What woud happen if they were in a real fight, a dog fight with the Chinese pilots? They would likely be wetting in the cockpits or crying for mama.
Are the Australian pilots made of strawberry? I can imagine how they trembled and shivered while holding the joysticks. Must be really frightening. And thank God they did not freak out and faint inside the cockpits. And they are supposed to fight with the Chinese pilots in air combat!
My recommendation, give each pilot a teddy bear to hug in the cockpit for psychological support and mental security. Add a baby rubber nipple for added safety.

I am inclined to think the trauma of seeing a Chinese fighter pilot made the aussies hold the wrong joystick...frightening, because it shrank!
This is fake news to push up the anti-China narrative. They can claim anything under the sun as long as it is useful in demonising China. Such as needing nuclear submarines to counter China, a country more than 4,600 miles away.
Another fake news that was started years ago in Cuba was said to affect mainly USA and Canadian Embassy staff in Cuba, and also USA intelligence staff all over the world, with ridiculous symptoms like ringing in the ears. That was the called the 'Havana Syndrome', invented and blamed on a hostile power, though they did not blame the Russians directly. But you can guess what they are hinting.
That narrative of a hostile power inflicting such a syndrome has now been proven without basis.
You can be sure the Australian pilots claim of psychological fear after encountering Chinese jets is probably hype up nonsense. Hope they were not holding a different kind of joysticks while in the air and blaming their erratic behaviour on the Chinese, LOL.

The USA and Nato can only bully the weak and less military capable countries, using their air superiority, like in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, Vietnam and North Korea. When the North Vietnamese, North Koreans and Talibans fought back, after the aerial bombardment and engaged them on the ground, they ran away with tails between their legs. Even those Afghans they trained, which they touted as credible fighters, ran away when they faced up with Taliban farmers bearing small arms. The facts are there and no fakery.
The USA, posturing as always, fear direct involvement in Ukraine and only used a proxy to fight the Russians. A direct confrontation with Russia using their own troops is not a certainty in victory, and a defeat will be catastrophic for their reputation. How many wars against big opponents have the USA lost since WW2. There was no victory in Korea, just a stalemate, followed by a comprehensive defeat in Vietnam and a humilating defeat in Afghanistan. The only wars they won are against very weak states like Iraq and Libya. Even North Korea is not easy meat and they know that.
