PAP, the unspoken miracle of Singapore

Almost 60 years of PAP rule in prosperous Singapore, the people did not seem to be tired of the PAP. PAP is still the unchallenged ruling political party in Singapore. No political party could come near to PAP in terms of political votes. Parliament is still overwhelmingly filled with PAP MPs, more than two thirds majority. And this is not going to change.

Here are the reasons why.

The PAP has the monopoly of talents in Singapore. Look at the PAP MPs and ministers and you cannot miss that everyone is a super talent, deserving to be paid in the millions or several hundred thousands. Practically everyone is paid more than the President of the USA, more or less there. The talents of PAP MPs and ministers are unquestionable, all proven by their very clever answers in Parliament when questioned by the opposition. They are always right and always put the opposition MPs looking like losers. Hard to find in any other Parliament.

The PAP is unchallenged and incomparable to any political parties in the world in their ability to make tough decisions in good or bad times, and always accepted by the people without any protest or objection. Look at the slate of increases in taxes and fees recently, in a time when practically every country is having trouble with inflation and stagnation or facing recession. The Singapore govt could still happily raise taxes and fees like business as usual. Many govts would have been brought down by mass protests like in Europe now, but not the PAP. They understand that the people are fully behind the PAP in whatever the PAP does. They believe that the people understand that everything the PAP did must be for the good of the people.  This kind of blind loyalty and trust by the people for a political party is unheard of in any country. Even China cannot match this.

And the PAP can fill the island with nearly 3m foreigners, practically one in every two person in the island is a foreigner. It could be even more if new citizens are included. And the people are not objecting. The people love it. The little ranting by the unemployed or underemployed are mere noises thrown up in the social media, nothing serious that would undermine the support for the PAP. The facts on the ground is that Singaporeans are awfully rich. Just look at the money they are willing to pay for public housing and for private car ownership. Public housing is now costing several hundred thousands for a 99 year leasehold, that would become 0 value when the lease expired. But the Singaporeans are so rich and so happy to buy them.

And the cars. A cheapo Korean or Japanese car is costing more than $100k when the cost of the car is likely to be about $15k. Just a certificate to have the right to buy a car, excluding the price of the car, is between $80k to $110K.  And still the Singaporeans are rushing to buy and own cars, as if this is normal. This means the Singaporeans are rich, cash rich. The saying that Singaporeans are asset rich and cash poor is just a myth. And quietly the Singaporeans must be very grateful to the PAP for making them so rich to be able to pay for public and private housing in the millions and cars at prices you can't find in any part of the world.

No where in the world can you find such a concentration of super talents in a single political party, all millionaires, a cabinet of millionaires, and the best talents in the island. If their salary is a measure of their talents, practically everyone of them is more talented than all the heads of states in the whole world.  They are paid according to their market worth. They can all command the same equivalent salary in the job market if they were to leave their political offices.

This is the unspoken miracle of Singapore. So many talents in the political leadership, but no talents left in the private sector that millions of foreign talents have to be imported to fill the vaccuum in the population. A no talent nation state led by a few super talents and still can be the richest state in Asia. come to think of it, this second part is also a miracle.

Uncle RB, you are so right, Singapore is a blessed country, run by super millionaire talents. Singaporeans are so lucky. Nowhere else in the world can you find such happy and contented people. They do not even squeak when rules about presidential election are changed overnight. Everything the PAP govt. does must be correct. A very satisfied and happy population.

Ya, agree..all this papies talent can even screw/scold sinkies xia suay..no need to answer important question in parLeement..can even ask "what your point behind the question"..& the biggest miracle in sinkieland is during election, the daft sinkies continue to ask papies to screw them again.

Can't blame the oppositions in Parliament. There is a mismatch in the contest between the super talents in the PAP and the average talents in the opposition camp. I don't think anyone in the opposition camp earns a million dollar a year salary. May not even earn half a million. So all of them are mediocres. Definitely no fight.

Even ultra rich millionaires or billionaires r flocking to this red dot jus to gain permanent residency or even citizenship, and the G will grant them straight away probably by creating jobs for the locals, see how magnanimous the G is and how good in attracting the ultra rich people here. Had the Wealthy in and hope that they will invest their wealth to create jobs for Sinkies.

Then have the locals that is the Singaporeans or Sinkies be hawkers, chefs, door and delivery men.

And taxi drivers and whats have you all the Servile Jobs to serve the Rich And Wealthy and Powerful.

Also had our young men in National Slavery to serve and try to protect all these Rich Elites for the next forty years of their lifes with week ends burned and recalled away from families.

Cause we are no talents and as peasants must serve them the Papies as Elites and their kind.

Why are Singaporeans KPKB all the time. The PAP govt is dishing out all the financial help to the needy Singaporeans, CDC vouchers everywhere, financial help to new home buyers, tax incentives for the babies, baby bonuses etc. So please do not KPKB so much. OK?? UP with the PAP and down with all low talent Singaporeans!!!!

The Pap buggers lording over little sg can be described as one bunch on a totem pole with their boss at the top.
Ordinary folks on the ground looking up can see all the ass holes on this totem pole. It can be said all Pap buggers aspire to climb higher and higher and it is a no brainer those closest to the top have more privileges than those below... after all, they are well within reach of the boss to tickle his ass using all means to get immediate attention.
Btw, 'complaining' ( feedback) does not equate to being a loser but honest concern for what is wrong on the ground that needs to be resolved.
This question comes to mind, "where are you on the totem pole?..." high enough to tickle the bugger at the top? "

Singapore is so well run and on the right track that even if we replace the folks running it with a band of monkeys, she will continue to prosper for a hundred years and beyond. Oops, is that what has already happened? They are not paid peanuts though.

Local sinkies' reputation are going down the drain. What matters are the new imported smarter sinkies. They would takeover until no more local born sinkies are available. The world organisation protections of Kai Kai, Jia Jai, Le Le.🐼 should extended to Local Sinkies. Lol.

CPF interest rate is supposed to be higher than FD rates. Now FD rates are 3% to 3.6%.

How can CPF rate be lower than FD rates?

Fed is expected to hike rates a few more times, to about 5%.

This is shortchanging the people's savings.

Wow another interesting news

Lee Hsien Yang thinking of standing for the Presidential Election and the Papies had to block him with his socalled police investigations into their what's LKY's will affairs to null him.

This is the usual Papies actions to nip in the bud any threats before they blossom into flowers.

Let's see.
