Singapore: Possible Solution To The Constitutional And Legal Issues Regarding Barring Singaporeans And Permanent Residents From Returning

Background

Most of the returning Singaporeans and PRs are either of India natiinals original or are Indian nationals. They know fully well that India is in a bad state in this COVID-19 Pandemic, yet they went back to India.

For what purposes?

The COVID-19 Pandemic did not happen just yesterday. It started in January 2020, more than one year an 5 months ago.

India's 2nd wave (in fact, 3rd wave) started at least 5 months ago and then got out of hand because of the mass religious ritualistic gatherings and the politically-motivated Elections and the calls for people to come out enmass to vote.

Ignorance Is No Excuse

All the Indian nationals and ex-Indian nationals living in Singapore, who have relatives living in India, must have known those facts already. So, why they did they take the risk of bringing back the highly infectious and deadly B1617 virus to spread Singapore by going to a highly contagious country? They can't claim ignorance because ignorance is no excuse.

High Security Risk

By deliberately going back to a highly contagious country is not only stupid (that means they cannot be classified as foreign talents) but also reckless, therefore dangerous.

If these people are stupid, reckless and dangerous, then the Singapore government can categorize them as "High Security Risk"

Conclusion

That means the Constitutional and Immigration Law forbidding the barring
of Singaporeans and Permanent Residents from returning to Singapore does not apply.

What do you think?

The Government should take this course of action.

The Government cannot allow some recalcitrant rotten apples to ruin the life and livelihood of the 5.8 million people on this tiny congested island.

The Government has to consider the greater and wider good of the country.

Even though there may be significant monetary benefits (which I doubt) to the GIC, Temasek Holdings or some other undeclared dealings behind closed doors, the health care system and the health and life of the masses are much more significant and important. These should take priority over whatever short-term monetary gains GIC, Temasek Holdings or some secret deals might have.

Wise leaders have foresight and wisdom. They consider all aspects in the long-term.

Bad leaders go for short-term gains and myopic expediency, without considering far-reaching consequences.

Wake up!

Taiwan refuses China's vaccine offer even as Taiwanese die from COVID-19. India refuses China's vaccine offer even as Indians die from the coronavirus. Singapore refuses China's vaccine Sinovac until WHO approval gives no reason to refuse, but still discourage usage via non-subsidy.

Is Singapore a US partner or a US ally? What is the difference between partner and ally ? Singapore PM have said the city state won't choose side in US-China fight, but action speaks louder than words.

Japan Donates Unwanted AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine to Taiwan

The shipment of 1.24 million doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines from Japan arrived on the Taiwan Island on Friday. Local politicians like Tsai Ing-wen showed no hesitation in outpouring their gratitude to Japan. Taipei city’s landmark “101” skyscraper even displayed LED messages to thank Japan.

Taiwan’s Central News Agency quoted an anonymous source on Wednesday saying that “Tsai played a key role in the negotiation process with the assistance of the US. The 10-day talks the source described as ‘silent battles’ finally came to fruition when the three sides reached a consensus,” Kyodo News reported on Friday.

Taiwan is also included in the US vaccine distribution plan, yet it is not known how many vaccines the island will obtain from Washington. Nonetheless, Tsai and her cohorts in the island have already rushed to show gratitude.

The Japan-donated vaccine is Japan’s stock, which Tokyo refused to use to vaccinate its own people. Because of AstraZeneca vaccine’s risk of resulting in blood clotting disorders, the vaccine has been excluded from use by many countries including the US. The US-planned donation is primarily AstraZeneca shots, too. Taiwan has recently recorded a series of cases of blood clotting linked to the AstraZeneca vaccination, which has caused rising concerns in the island.

Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities are worshipping the US and Japan blindly. Their servile manner to the US and Japan is in stark contrast to their categorical refusal to accept the vaccines offered by the Chinese mainland, which has been officially recommended by the WHO.

Taiwan politicians have made quite a few mainlanders angered. The mainland’s netizens’ dissatisfaction and indignation is justified. The DPP authorities are determined to confront the Chinese mainland, tying themselves tightly to foreign forces. Many mainlanders hope that the DPP should be taught a “decisive lesson” as soon as possible. It is believed that the DPP authorities have seen this backlash on the internet. They are concerned about whether the public opinion will have any impact on the mainland’s Taiwan policy.

As the power of the mainland grows, the nation’s military capability has long extended to the areas beyond the Taiwan Island. The initiative on how to resolve the Taiwan question is now firmly in the hands of Beijing. The secessionist forces on the island know this very well, who are increasingly gripped by panic.

The strength of the mainland is far more superior and powerful than the island of Taiwan. The real struggle between the two sides across the Taiwan Straits is not about military confrontation. In Beijing’s strategic chessboard of the Western Pacific, the role of Taiwan is diminishing. Therefore, Beijing is unlikely to put all its resources to contend with the DPP.

The DPP authorities are helpless. Chinese mainland’s policy toward Taiwan Island will no longer need to consider DPP’s response. Beijing will take the future welfare of Taiwan people more into its consideration, while building up its strength and prestige in the Western Pacific region and in the entire world, to prepare for the ultimate resolution of the Taiwan question.

Beijing is playing a chess game, and the DPP authorities are merely the chess pieces on the board. The DPP politicians on the island are likely to become more hysterical, continuing to kowtow to some foreign forces, like the US, in their desperate bid to survive. Taiwan has already been an inalienable part of China, and the DPP shall never be allowed to secede it from 1.4 billion Chinese people.

Taiwan is behaving like a beggar, begging for unwanted or leftover food. AstraZeneca is a very dangerous vaccine and has been banned in many countries. Japan and USA would not use it on their citizens.

Beggar Taiwan so happy to get it from Japan. Let's see how many Taiwanese are going suffer from adverse effects.

Taiwan - An Untenable And Futile Resistance Against The Chinese Civilization

I believe China will ultimately have no choice but to retake Taiwan by military force. This will be a continuation of the previous civil war fought between the People's Army under Chairman Mao and the Chiang Kai Sek Nationalist Forces.

In the mean time, perhaps China's actual intention is to lure the US to sell the latest US weapons to Taiwan to "defend" herself.

It seems that the more China objected to the US's sales of military hardware to Taiwan, the more the adamant and aggressive US leadership will respond in an evil and provocative way, by purposely selling more weapons to Taiwan (at the same time making extra money for the US Military Complex, of course).

It won't be difficult to see that when Taiwan ultimately surrenders herself to China, all the US weapons purchased by Taiwan will become China's.

Very soon, real soon, after realising that it is untenable and unnecessary to refuse to believe that Taiwan has been, is, and always will be a part of China, the Taiwan Provincial Government will ultimately surrender willingly to China's Central Government, without a fight. This will be a wise move to make.

It is, in fact, very counter-productive for Taiwan to continue her belligerent behaviour, with or without US, Japan and other countries' support.
The longer the Taiwanese leaders' belligerent behaviour against the broader Chinese aspiration continues, the more the Taiwanese people are going to suffer.

The time has arrived for China to exert her authority and power over the renegade and belligerent Island of Taiwan, which Mao Tze Tung, the Supreme Leader of the Chinese People at that time, had magnanimously allowed General Chiang Kai Sek a way out in order to stop further bloodshed from Chinese killing Chinese due to Western evil instigation and interference, especially those of the UK and USA.

The Chinese, irrespective of where you are from, must take note that the UK-US clique has always taken China as an Enemy and the Chinese people as inferior and lower than "dogs".

The Chinese People must never forget the Sign Post put up by the British in Shanghai. Specifically, the sign placed in Shanghai's Huangpu Park that read: “Chinese and dogs are forbidden".

Before June 1928, most Chinese were certainly barred from the parks administered by the foreign-controlled Shanghai Municipal Council (SMC) of the International Settlement in Shanghai. The enforcement of the ban varied over time but for the first three decades of the 20th century it was rigidly administered.

Not only dogs, ball games, cycling and picking of the flowers were forbidden in the parks and gardens but also the local people (Chinese citizens) were forbidden to enter the parks and gardens administered by the temporary occupier, the British.

The bans on dogs and Chinese became so notorious that the British authority in Shanghai had the unthinkable audacity to put up signs at every piece of land that the weak Chinese government had temporarily allowed them to occupy.

Using “dog” as an insulting and dehumanizing epithet in China upon the Chinese People in order to exacerbate the insult was, and still is, extremely outrageous and totally unacceptable.

The Chinese is not just a Race or Ethnic Grouping. The Chinese is a 6,000 years Civilization. Therefore, ANY Chinese descendent with self-respect, dignity and/or integrity should feel insulted and should stand up against such misdemeanor irrespective of where it came from.

As such, the Taiwan compatriots must also stand up against our common enemy, the evil Western Power of the UK-US clique; and, in the final analysis, come to realise that it is unnecessary, futile and untenable to resist the reunification of the Taiwan Province with the Mainland, as one Country, One Nation, ONE CIVILIZATION!

Best wishes from the bottom of my heart.
