The
government-appointed "Expert Committee", being paid by the government,
said on Monday that there is no evidence that inactivated virus vaccines
demonstrate higher efficacy against COVID-19 variants than messenger
RNA (mRNA)-based vaccines.
"We have noted social media
messages asserting that the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are ineffective
against (variants of concern) and that inactivated virus COVID-19
vaccines would provide superior protection.
The inactivated virus
COVID-19 vaccines have variable protection and there is currently no
evidence to suggest that inactivated virus vaccines demonstrate higher
vaccine efficacy against (variants of concerns) than the mRNA vaccines," said the Expert Committee in a press release on Monday.
The
two vaccines being used for the current National Vaccination Program
are from Pfizer-BioNtec and Modena. These vaccines use a new technology
mRNA instead of the traditional method of using inactivated viruses.
Curiously
and interestingly, the two new tech, untried and experimental Western
vaccines have been recommended by the "Expert Committee" who have
probably studied in the West or indoctrinated by the West, and were
quickly and readily accepted by the Multi-Ministry Task Force, who might
also studied in Western universities and brain-washed by Western
indoctrination.
In the other hand, the Sinovac vaccine uses the
traditional, tried and tested method as the vaccine used for chickenpox
for the last 100 years. It uses inactivated viruses. This is the
preferred vaccine by many old folks of Singapore, that the "Expert
Committee" not only did not recommend for inclusion into the National
Vaccination Program but seems to be attempting to run it down by saying
there is no evidence to show it is better. Such approach can only
discredit the so-called "Experts" themselves for being ingenious,
unethical and unprofessional.
Moreover, no evidence collected,
collated, processed, interpreted or used does not mean there is no
evidence out there in the cyberspace and in the world of 193 countries.
It simply means the "Experts" themselves
1. Have not come across such evidence.
2. Have disregarded such evidence.
3. Have preconceived ideas.
4. Have to safeguard self-image and protect the image of the MMTF.
5. Have made a great blunder.
Remember, the same "Expert Committee" has recommended to the government and the government has told all of us:
"YOU DO NOT NEED TO WEAR MASK IF YOU ARE NOT SICK. WEAR MASK ONLY IF YOU ARE UNWELL".
Last but not least, there is also no evidence for us to think that what
the few gentlemen in the appointed "Expert Committee" said are more
credible and trustworthy than what the myriads of people said in the
social media, out there in the Cyberspace!

Obviously, the Expurts Comedians are trying very hard to protect their own position and reputation because they are the ones who have recommended the use of the highly questionable, experimental vaccines from Pfizer-BioN-tec and Moderna.
Moreover, it is known that Temasek Holdings has invested heavily on the Bio-N-tec. So, it seems that investment interests of Temasek Holdings must have been a factor of deep consideration, not just medical consideration.
The way the Expurts Comedians are running down the traditional method in favour of a new, unknown, untried, not-properly-tested, experimental and potentially problematic method of producing vaccines shows that they are a bunch of very bias and unprofessional salesmen.
A good salesman does not run down the competitors' products. A good salesman will only do his best to prove that his products is safe and superior by providing facts and data, testimonials from users and historical records.
A bad, unprofessional, unethical and unscrupulous salesman will run down his competitors' products through back-stabbing, conjectures, make-believes, twisting of facts and personal biases.
The more they try to run down the traditional methods, the more we should become suspicious of their ulterior motive.
I don't think it is the investment in BioNTech that matters as the Singapore market is too small to be meaningful to ban other vaccines being used here.
The unspoken reason is more powerful and the boys and girls are like being coerced, not just influenced, to make silly decisions against their commonsense and against the interest of the common good. Look at the garbage being used in the main media to run down other vaccines and to support a controversial new vaccines that could prove fatal in the long run.

Unpad's Sinovac Researchers Say Sinovac May Require 3rd Shot as Booster

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A team of researchers for the Covid-19 vaccine by Sinovac from Padjadjaran's University (Unpad) Faculty of Medicine is compiling a final report on clinical trials in Bandung. They plan to submit the report to the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) through PT Bio Farma as the research sponsor in mid-June.
"[From] the result, it seems that further researches are needed to determine the persistent antibody and booster," the research team's manager Eddy Fadlyana said on Wednesday, 9 June.
A booster is a third dose of Sinovac's inactivated vaccine to boost the antibody against the new coronavirus. "For efficacy, there might be a decrease, as the antibody response also decreases on its own. Therefore a booster is required," Eddy said.
The latest research by the vaccine producer in China, Eddy said, said that a third shot is advised. "The trial showed that the antibody response increases by tenfold," he said.
The research team in Bandung is preparing to conduct a similar trial. As requested by the WHO, the team will do a follow-up research for six months starting after the volunteers in the follow-up clinical trials get their second doses.
The research plan is currently awaiting approval from BPOM and the Unpad Ethics Committee, after the final report of the first nine-month clinical trial is submitted this month.
The final report, Eddy said, will also be used to seek permission for the permanent use of the Sinovac vaccine in Indonesia. So far, the BPOM had only issued permits for emergency use, which was on January 11 this year.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said people will "likely" need a booster dose of a Covid-19 vaccine within 12 months of getting fully vaccinated. His comments were made public Thursday but were taped April 1.
Bourla said it's possible people will need to get vaccinated against the coronavirus annually.
"A likely scenario is that there will be likely a need for a third dose, somewhere between six and 12 months and then from there, there will be an annual revaccination, but all of that needs to be confirmed. And again, the variants will play a key role," he told CNBC's Bertha Coombs during an event with CVS Health.
"It is extremely important to suppress the pool of people that can be susceptible to the virus," Bourla said.
The comment comes after Johnson & Johnson CEO Alex Gorsky told CNBC in February that people may need to get vaccinated against Covid-19 annually, just like seasonal flu shots.
Researchers still don't know how long protection against the virus lasts once someone has been fully vaccinated.
Pfizer said earlier this month that its Covid-19 vaccine was more than 91% effective at protecting against the coronavirus and more than 95% effective against severe disease up to six months after the second dose. Moderna's vaccine, which uses technology similar to Pfizer's, was also shown to be highly effective at six months.
Pfizer's data was based on more than 12,000 vaccinated participants. However, researchers say more data is still needed to determine whether protection lasts after six months.
Earlier Thursday, the Biden administration's Covid response chief science officer, David Kessler, said Americans should expect to receive booster shots to protect against coronavirus variants.
Kessler told U.S. lawmakers that currently authorized vaccines are highly protective but noted new variants could "challenge" the effectiveness of the shots.
"We don't know everything at this moment," he told the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis.
"We are studying the durability of the antibody response," he said. "It seems strong but there is some waning of that and no doubt the variants challenge ... they make these vaccines work harder. So I think for planning purposes, planning purposes only, I think we should expect that we may have to boost."
In February, Pfizer and BioNTech said they were testing a third dose of their Covid-19 vaccine to better understand the immune response against new variants of the virus.
Late last month, the National Institutes of Health started testing a new Covid vaccine from Moderna in addition to the one it already has, designed to protect against a problematic variant first found in South Africa.
Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel told CNBC on Wednesday that the company hopes to have a booster shot for its two-dose vaccine available in the fall.

“But all of that needs to be confirmed, and again, the variants will play a key role,” Bourla added.
Pfizer’s chief medical officer told CNBC that she agrees with Bourla.
“We see indications for this also in the induced, but also the natural immune response against SARS-COV-2 [the virus that causes COVID-19],” Dr. Ozlem Tureci told the outlet.
"We see this waning of immune responses also in people who were just infected, and therefore [it’s] expected with the vaccines.”
Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, said we’ll likely know by this fall whether booster COVID-19 vaccines will be necessary.
“When the slope starts coming down you can predict when you’re going to get below the safe level or you could start seeing breakthrough infections,” Fauci said Sunday on ABC’s ‘This Week’.
“I believe by the time we get to the end of the summer and the beginning of the fall, we’ll have a pretty good idea of whether we definitely or not need to give people boosts and when we need to give it to them.”
The reality for COVID-19 vaccines will likely mirror that of flu shots, which require annual vaccinations that are updated by scientists each year depending on which strain of the influenza virus is circulating.
Johnson & Johnson CEO Alex Gorsky also told CNBC in February that coronavirus vaccines may need to be an annual event.
Both Pfizer and Moderna announced that their vaccines offer protection against COVID-19 for six months. This means that every six months one has to re-vaccinate again and again and again.

Sinovac, Pfizer/BioNtech COVID-19 vaccines prove highly effective in Uruguay -government
Uruguay on Tuesday released real-world data on the impact of Sinovac Biotech's (SVA.O) COVID-19 vaccine among its population that showed it was over 90% effective in preventing intensive care admissions and deaths.
The shot reduced deaths by 95% and intensive care admissions by 92%, and also showed 61% efficacy in cutting coronavirus infections, the government said.
The government also studied the effectiveness of the Pfizer/BioNTech (PFE.N), vaccine among 162,047 health workers and people over 80 years old. The shot was 94% effective at preventing intensive care unit admissions and deaths, and reduced infections by 78%, the report said.
