Branded and luxury goods, fashion apparels can still be had at very affordable prices from China under 'No Brand'

Americans say ‘trade war is lost’ as Chinese reveal unique way to get goods

‘Why don’t you just contact us and buy from us?’ says one go-getter, who claims to make handbags ultimately sold by brands like Gucci and Louis Vuitton. ‘You won’t believe the prices we give you.’ It’s an unorthodox tactic, albeit not one that’s completely unprecedented – the rise of e-commerce opened up these mini trade channels decades ago. MSN

The Chinese manufacturers are teaching the American consumers how to get their branded and luxury goods and fashion wear direct from them at much cheaper prices even with all the tariffs added. Buy direct from the factory at factory prices. This is possible because of the high markups by the branded companies that made their products in China for pittance, attached their labels on them and then resold them in the hundreds or thousands of dollars.

The Chinese factory charged only a few dollars for branded goods like Gucci, LV, Coach, Prada, Givenchy, YSL, Hermes, Birkin, and many other brands. The same goods, same quality and designed can be ordered from the factory at factory prices and plus 100% or 200% tariff would cost only a hundred or couple of hundred dollars, without the brands. With the brands stitched on, the same goods could cost several hundred or several thousand dollars. They are still a steal and with no fear of higher tariffs. For clothings and apparels, the logo is stitched inside, cannot be seen.

China should actively promote or franchise 'No Brand' for smart luxury goods and apparels as genuine replicas/clones and sell them at a fraction of the branded prices, eg $2,000 for a $20,000 branded equivalent. Paying another $2,000 for tariff is very reasonable and affordable for the smart consumers.

The Americans can buy all they want from TikTok, RedNote, Shein, Temu and continue to enjoy having such designer luxury goods and apparels without costing them a bomb, actually many times cheaper and more affordable, and happily paying the 100% or 200% tariffs without hurting their pockets.

China can continue to sell all 'No brand' quality luxury goods and apparels they want to the Americans and the Americans can buy all they want from China, happily.

Good quality replica watches are now sold legally as homage watches, exact replicas without the branded names but at a fraction of the price in recognition of the design of the original watch.

With the latest 245% tariffs, US and China is as good as completely decoupled. China is opening its doors, 240 hours VISA free, to Americans to visit China and buy all the luxury goods they want, without having to pay tariffs, and bring them home. Buying a Birkin bag would be enough to cover the airfare and with a lot to spare to buy many more.

Just to add One Sinkie Own Self Check Own Self just like the Papies socalled online Businesswoman used to make many trips to the EU countries just to source and buy their Branded goods and handcarried many luggages back to Sinkeland.

Many a time she escaped the SinkiesLand GST and made quite a tidy sum.

One fine day been stop and check by the Customs and made to pay heavy fines.

The Schedule of flights from the same departure countries are usually at the same check out gates and too many times with the same familiar face with so many luggages out from the same noses of the Customs Officers drew suspicions.

Likewise don't play the JB Causeway.

Some are trained to lookout for these characters.

Also Drugs Peddlers.

The US$ is no more than a counterfeit currency and the USA is the biggest counterfeiter in history. But blaming others is just a ploy to distract the reality.

That means the USA is also the biggest currency manipulator in the world, but it is trying to tarnish China as a major currency manipulator by keeping its Yuan low to help its manufacturing to compete globally. Again, after decades of enjoying cheaper Chinese products with a strong dollar and a weaker Yuan, the USA is turning around to bite the hand of China. In the face of the tariff war, China is now weakening the Yuan further to make its manufacturing more competitive. This is good news for BRICS and the Global South countries, with China exporting its deflation to benefit them.

The BRI was a very strategic move by China. With the BRI, China also found an alternative way to recycle its trade surpluses, without the danger of further investments of those surpluses into USA Treasuries and assets. This move made the USA paranoid and nervous, resulting in the manifestation of the debt trap mantra to demonize China.

With China moving its surplus of US$ from trade into helping poorer countries with infrastructure means China is killing two birds with one stone - firstly getting a safer investment alternative besides USA Treasuries and other assets, with secondly lifting more out of poverty of those countries with infrastructures that will benefit China in trade in the longer term. This is what I always say about China thinking long term and far ahead, building a strong foundation for what it intends to move forward towards.

Snobbish sheep only discernment is by Price! They think that price differentiate their status. Stupid brain inflated by ego. To them, besides the West, everything else is copy and cheapo! Although the truth is, in China there are originals oem and bad fake copies from small factories.

Tourists used to flock to 'factory outlet' stores on the outskirts of a lot of American cities to buy branded goods at 'wholesale' prices.
There's a nice one in Bicester, on the way to Oxford in UK.
These stores have just met their demise.

The exposure of the source of branded goods and the price gorging going on in the high-end luxury market is a hard pill to swallow for big names in the West.

Some are calling this China's 'guerilla warfare tactics' that the USA and the West are terrified of. This must be 'economic guerilla warfare' just like 'guerilla warfare' in the military sense.
