So many new faces in 2025 joining the fray for political leadership but can they measure up to the task.

All political parties must ensure new aspirants for political leadership measure up to the high demanding criteria require of politicians.

All new aspirants taking up politics must be asked to list out their criteria for wanting to join. Their lists of criteria must then be published for the public to scrutinize and if possible to comment.

First and foremost politicians must be sincere in really wanting to seriously serve their fellow countrymen and country with all their hearts and with all their minds and soul. They must not be hypocritical in promising to serve the people before election but after being elected demand that the populace serve them. Will they devote all their time and energy to serve sincerely as ministers or MPs and resign from their existing jobs. Or will they take their political office as part time job while devoting their usual selves to indulge in their own business.

They must not think of enriching themselves by way of Parliament. They must know the Parliament is a sacred public institution to serve the country and the people. If they want to grow rich they should go into the business world and not enter into politics.

Whatever it is they must help the government to form good governance for the good of the people and country.

It is important for politicians to take note of some importants aspects that a discerning government must keep in mind .

A good careful government must avoid sliding into the fake system of  American democracy the governance of which advocates extreme capitalism that follows the Darwinism principle and theory of survival of the fittest which caters only to the benefit of the one to ten percent elitist society at the detrimental expense of the by and large ninety percent ordinary populace. This type of Darwinism governance will lead to disaster, chaos and turmoil and eventual demise of the  country. The fake American democracy is in actual truth a fascist regime of the elitist oligarchy.

It is good for Singapore to follow a socialist democracy in which the people equate the country as a big family consisting of an aggregate of thousands or millions of diverse families that look upon the government with responsibility to take care of the interests, well being and welfare of the people.

A good socialist government should not straddle between the  self interest  of the dangerous fake American democracy and the hypocritical concepts and malpractice of the fake socialism of George Orwell's 'Animal Farm'.

High standards cannot happen with some aspirants running from one party to another when they cannot rise up fast enough within the ranks. What is even worse is that after leaving the party they started with, they start making sneaky and defaming remarks about their former colleagues and former party. These are the kind of politicians that will never be able to convince voters to vote for them.

For me, cost of living is also very high. I voted wisely as always but still suffered collateral damage.

Politicians will always be politicians, self interest come first. Initially most of them will sincerely work hard for the people, but once they tasted the greatness of power/money, the real them will appear. Just look at LKY period.
