TikTok is Chinese property, NOT for sale. Bullying would not work

Trump is backtracking over his plan to force TikTok to sell to a non-Chinese buyer. He is giving another 75-day grace, which is a joke just to mitigate his failure to resort to the use of bullying.

Byte-dance, the owner of Tik Tok is very clear over the issue. The future of Tik Tok rests in the hands of the Chinese Government, not Trump despite all his gloating as if he owns Tik Tok. And China is definitely going to block the sale with or without the tariff war going on. Byte-dance just have to follow China's policies and will just likely exit the USA completely with the ban.

Tik Tok has a user base of 1.6 billion worldwide, with 175 million in the USA. Loosing 11% of its user base in the USA is not going to collapse Tik Tok. Moreover, some USA users of Tik Tok will go over permanently to other Chinese apps like Rednote, which is facing banning as well.

China is really serious about de-coupling completely from the USA, being sick and tired of all the provocations, nefarious fabrications and lies thrown against China over the past decade. China is hedging its future on BRICS and the Global South, new growth areas for trade and investments. China is now even banning Chinese investments in the USA, which is a further nail in the coffin of the USA hegemony. This is a good move by China in the face of the asset seizure by the USA and EU from Russia. China is even selling off its treasury holdings and USA debts, knowing the dangers of holding on to them knowing their toxic nature.

Getting banned would be better for Tik Tok. Selling Tik Tok to a USA buyer or a non-Chinese buyer will make Tik Tok into another entity controlled by the USA like Youtube, unable to provide real news about the genocides in Gaza.

China is now all about getting serious like blocking the sale of ports by C. K. Hutchison and selling of Tik Tok to a non-Chinese buyer. China must stand firm on all issues and not be bullied into submission.

We all know what bullies are like. The more you avoid them, the more they come after you and the more pressure exerted. If you do not make a stand, bullies become more virulent and may resort to violence.
