I woke up this morning and had a good laugh about Trump imposing tariffs on an Australian uninhabited island that had been targeted for fictitious and nonexistent exports to the USA. This is the kind of intelligence that we are witnessing inside the workings of the Trump administration. They are working blindfolded, just like their man-child Commander-in-Chief aka Commander-in-Cheat.
What the whole world can do about those tariffs is just continue business as usual, let the USA importers pay for their imports with the tariffs added and pass those price increases on to USA consumers. There is no need for countries to retaliate, as the USA importers are doing the retaliation on behalf of manufacturers by increasing prices for products they imported. Suffice to say, there is a growing alternative market besides exporting to the USA as in the past. BRICS and the Global South are avenues to switch exports to, with countries still making the same products, at the same cost, selling at the same price and making the same profit. The USA is a small market compared to the several billion population in BRICS and the Global South. It is losing relevance faster than expected.
Many leaders have now realized that the USA market is no longer their future and are looking elsewhere to trade with. Canada is looking towards the EU and also looking towards China. Even egoistic India, USA colonies Japan and South Korea are now realizing that their future economic survival is tied to closing ranks with China. Being close allies and acting as proxies for the USA to counter China holds no strategic advantage and getting targeted as much as those unfriendly towards the USA, which has perhaps now woken them up.
The comment by some political watchers is that China has set a trap, and the USA has fallen into it, which is becoming a reality. All these tariff measures of Trump are meant to target Chinese investments in countries outside China. But targeting them forced the USA to fall into the China trap. It is alienating friends and foes alike and pushing them into the arms of China, like India, Japan and South Korea.
The USA can close its doors to the outside world, which is a blessing in disguise for humanity. Go, Donny, go!

The joke going around is that there is a tariff being imposed on penguins and seals on uninhabited islands and it riled Trump. That is stupidity on another dimension.
What are penguins and seals producing for export to the USA I wonder. Droppings and manure? This must be another item to be counted in every country's GDP calculation. Perhaps even pigeon droppings could be considered, LOL.
China should re-channel those exports earmarked for the yanks to the global south and BRICS. To prove a point that the US is a non entity, sell those re-channeled products at an introductory offer discount. Am sure China can afford it and the recipients will only be too happy. It's a win-win situation. It's a match made in heaven.
Now Trump is becoming a doctor giving prescriptions, telling USA voters that when they are sick, they have to take medicine. Someone must ask whether Trump has taken his mental illness medication, LOL.
Quack Dr Trump also told USA citizens years ago that to prevent or cure COVID, he suggested those affected to take Ivermectin or horse dewormer to get rid of the COVID 'worm'. The other medicine he prescribed was to inject insecticides to kill the COVID 'insect'. Wonder how many people he really killed with his suggestions.
Trump was also a great weatherman, telling from his juvenile experience that hurricanes are very wet, a discovery that no one else knew about. Wonder what other weather forecasters have to say about dry hurricanes. Oh, he also said that the summer sun will kill the COVID virus and told USA citizens that everything will be fine when summer arrives. How many did he really killed due to his fudge advice and dilly-dallying among the more than a million victims in the USA?
Now, can we ever forget Trump, the great diplomat, going to end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. Everything was just hot air from his arsehole mouth. That war is not going to end soon and is not even in tune with the belief that the USA is really pulling out completely. The smoke and mirror activity are just a question of passing the baton to the Europeans while the USA pivots to China. How long has WW2 ended and NATO is still existing while the Warsaw Pact countries have long disbanded? Just answering this question alone is all that matters.

USA is short of eggs. Trump is maybe raising tariffs on penguin eggs. Trump needs every penny to fund his tax cuts. But I read and heard someone on Youtube saying that he is spending US$20 billion asking a military contractor to build a fighter jet to be named 'Trump 47'.
On the one hand Trump is gloating about saving costs by cutting Federal and other jobs but is splurging to prop up his image. Next, he may well issue a directive to print US$1,000 notes with his face on it.
