India train crash - Drone picture

A drone shot of rescuers work at the site of passenger trains accident, in Balasore district, in the eastern Indian state of Orissa, Saturday, June 3, 2023. Hundreds of others were trapped inside more than a dozen mangled rail cars, in one of the country's deadliest train crashes in decades. Photo: VCG - Courtesy of Global Times

This was how serious was the impact. Passengers sitting inside trains closest to impact at several points were unlikely to survive. RIP.  It was a painful tragedy.

Bridges collapsing, trains derailing - India's infrastructure is like the US !

It was reported to be a signaling error. The whole Indian railway system is centuries old, inherited from the British. It will take some effort to bring the Indian Railway system up to date.

Were passengers riding on the roof of the trains I wonder?

The train were led to a loop line and collided Headon with stationary trains on this loop line.
Another train happened to pass by on the outer track and some wagons were flown onto their carriages by the first impact.

Had seen a documentary of how their train stations Masters or attendant manually changed lanes before the trains were to be led to other lanes for other routes.

Some of them on night shifts had a drink too many and rock and roll went to manually changed another lane for another destination and just blurred blurred changed the wrong lanes with oncoming trains on same lanes.

That's why they just said Signalling problems.

Their old type or systems of conventional trains where have Signalling devices like the newer MRT and High Speed Systems Trains.

Human errors lah!

Also had travelled quite extensively during my stint working in Port Kelang by trains from Sin to there.

Also certain stations same system as the Indian ones.

But Matland less as their trains usually straight all the way to KL Sentral and from there have to disembark and changed on forward either RailBus or other trains to other destinations so much safer.

That's a horrible plus terrible accident!

How can we even imagine a group of trains, some stationary, some moving, entangled in a big mess!

Whether signalling fault or otherwise, this is definitely human error.

Heads should roll, otherwise how can they justify for such a colossal mistake!

How many have died on impact? How many seriously injured and are going to die? How many hundreds or even thousands, are injured? Who will pay the bill?

How can those died suddenly ever REST IN PEACE?

APATHY is the word. From personal experience working there, they are the most apathetic people I've encountered.

Cannot say like that. They are the best workers that Singapore is importing to transform the island into a smart city and to be in the first world. Without them Singapore would have gone down to the third world. Without them Singapore would still have to employ the no talent PMETs. Without them Singapore would have no bankers.

And their train engineers are the most experience in managing trains and train accidents. After this accident many of their engineers would add their experience into their CVs, highly prized experience, and would be applying to work here to help to run our trains. These are experience that Singapore engineers would not have.

Whoa luckily nowadays have no more Samsu and toddy forests illegal breweries of old in Choa Chu Kang and other forested areas.

Our time, as Customs Enforcement Officers used to feret out all these outlets where the rock and roll mamas used to frequent and buy and got stone drunk.

Buy skill plenty in India. That's how they always switched the wrong lanes when high.

So with all these experienced Indian Engineers in as advocated by our Anon here and now with auto flicks of Signallings change of lanes etc expect many of our own in our underground tracks having
Inferno parties when our experienced Indian Engineers nowadays had hard liquor and beer and stout with Mao Tai mixed.

Compliments from MaoTzeTung.

These jokers without liquor cannot work.

No Alcohol I Resigned.

Also when they are warded, no drips of Saline are required.

Just drips of beer and stout will do.

Cheers Yam Seng, Ah Sing Ah.

True, you can see US invites India to
Build railways for Saudi

Anonymous said...

What, Saudi Arabia is a state of USA?

Americans deciding who to call to build railways in Saudi Arabia?

Maybe the Americans can ask the Indians to build trains in Singapore.

Anonymous said...

They can. If Singapore refuses, there will be consequences. Just like 'inviting' African leaders to meet Dementia Joe in Washington. Be in Washington or there will be consequences.

Some idiots claimed only China coerced them, the Americans never coerced anyone lah. The Americans are so nice people. Only got bullied by China, never bully China or anyone else.

Which idiots do you think said this kind of stupid things?

Anonymous said...

Yes, yes, the Americans never coerce anyone. The Americans only said, you are with us or against us. And the stupid would know what to do. No coercion.

The stupid would pretend that they were not coerced. They did it willingly because of their own interests.

To answer your question, is the sun going to rise tomorrow?

They are also very happy not to buy cheap oil from Russia and willing to pay 4 or 5 times higher prices to buy from the Americans. Unbelieveable but it is true.
