Asean states shamelessly becoming stooges of former colonial masters that plundered their countries

Thailand is now a proxy of the USA, and many believe the Monarchy will be consigned to history in time to come. The Thai Monarchy had been the calming factor in the fragile Thai political system, fraught with coups and unrest. The Monarchy could be seen as the power broker behind the scene in so many coups. The election that just concluded in Thailand had been hijacked by the USA, using the CIA and USA funded NGOs that had been working the ground for decades and of course money talks among poor rural folks. With Thailand under the USA control, the next two targets would be Laos and Cambodia, with Myanmar a work in progress already set in motion.

The Philiipines had been a proxy of the USA, and that is a given, being a country under colonisation and brainwashing for generations and, like the Native American Indians, succumbing to religious indoctrination that is still stuck deep in their minds. A vassal state remains a vassal state no matter how we look at it. The USA will not allow this status quo to be changed. Signs of change during Rodrigo Duterte's Presidency had been instrumental in giving the USA the signal that more troops and having a bigger widespread base in the Philippines must be secured to prevent such a situation from developing again. And the USA had it all now, having a compliant stooge in power.

Vietnam is showing signs of an untrustworthy country that continues to bite the hand that had given it so much help during the Vietnam War and later with investments. Most people are unaware that the USA had exerted tremendous economic pressure on Vietnam lately, withdrawing investment funds to force the Vietnamese economy to falter and playing again into the USA hands. It is so sad that a country that is still suffering the consequences of carpet bombing, Agent Orange, with uncleared land mines still killing people and all those destruction by the USA, is now moving in the wrong direction again, like the Japanese. As in religion, never underestimate the capability of Satan being able to exert a hold on fallible humans.

As for India, stradding two boats is their way of doing things. They have one foot in the QUAD and the other in BRICS. Where does their loyalty lie? They have good relations with Russia, an ally of China, for military equipment and energy, while following up on the USA's agenda to challenge China. India wants the cake and eat it. The USA is making a desperate attempt to break off India's reliance on Russian military connections, but have no answer to counter India's reliance on cheap Russian energy. Otherwise India would long ago have distanced itself from Russia. The USA had been chipping away at the India/Russia link, but the need for India to confront China, that is preventing USA from coming down hard on India.

China’s Military Looks Down on Indian Military

India will not pose a security threat to China because it is still incapable of challenging Beijing in defence manufacturing and modernisation of its military, said Chinese military delegates to Asia’s premier security forum.

Speaking to media on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, which closed on Sunday, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) delegates said India was still a long way from catching up to China’s military, especially in the defence industry.

“India is unlikely to catch up to China in the coming decades because of its weak industrial infrastructure, while China has built complex and systematic defence industrial platforms,” said Senior Colonel Zhao Xiaozhuo of the PLA Academy of Military Sciences.

“When you look at the Indian military’s weapon systems, what types of tanks, aircraft and warships were made and developed by Indians themselves?”

As the world’s biggest army, the 2 million-strong PLA has set a goal to become a modern fighting force by 2027, the centenary of its founding.

China is only being modest. Its military and weapons are now the most advanced in the world, in many areas better than the Americans. No need to wait for 2027.

The Australian pariah dog or dingo is trying to demonised China by questioning its military buildup. Why is the Australian pariah/dingo not questioning the USA's defence spending of close to US$842 billion which is more than triple that of China? In fact the USA alone spends more on defence that the next seven countries combined. That is how atrocious.

Why is the Australian pariah/dingo not talking about its increased spending itself on nuclear powered submarines? Who is threatening Australia asked Paul Keating? Keating also opined that those nuclear powered submarines are least capable of defending Australia, surrounded by its wide open coastline.

China's defence spending does better in the sense that they have 'more bang for the buck' with better returns for the money spent. China does not have to pay for US$640 toilet seats, albeit reported decades ago, which today is much more atronomical I think.

Reports have circulated that weapons for Ukraine have ended up in Mexico. Other weapons have been reported to have ended up in Africa as well. The most ridiculous thing is that Zelenskyy keeps asking for more weapons to be sent, even F16s. Hope one F16 ends up in Russian hands. Better still, Ukraine should ask for F35s, which I believe Russia will support for sure. One plopping down in Russia and it is game over for the USA's F35s.

By the way, Zelenskyy is running scared of being taken out by Russian missiles. He should be.

Russia don't need F16 from Ukraine lah. The GRU already got the F16 designs from the US in the 1970s, and USSR built the Mig 29 and SU 27 to oppose it.
Ukraine and Zelensky can't afford the F35 and don't have the support system for that. That is the facts, bro.

Taking down a few F16s will deflate all the hype up glorified image of the plane. That will be bad for sales for the plane manufacturers. Russians and Chinese have better up to date fighter jets. The Chinese do not even want to think of competing with the USA in salvaging a F35C that fell into the South China Sea a year ago.

The Russians and Chinese already knew the F16 is an old obsolete piece of junk, suitable only for shooting down stationery weather balloons and small private planes that posed little danger.
