I wonder what it is all about. Anyone heard about this meeting this evening at 6pm?

They are attempting a 'mission impossible'

The SPP should accept defeat like George, a gentleman.

What's with all these talk about petitions for a re election as reported by TOC anyway. Please do not waste taxpayers money unnecessarily.

The elections ARE OVER and we must get down to the serious business of bringing the country forward collectively.

We must move on and CST deserves a well earned rest and will go down in history together with JBJ as pioneers of opposition politics.

For voters in Potong Pasir, I think it is a blessing in disguise that the PAP won this time around.

Sitoh must now come up with all the upgradings denied over the years. He has to walk the talk and deliver. The pressure is on him to convince Potong Pasir residents once and for all that voting PAP is the way forward.

If the residents are so adamant on being represented by Lena Chiam, just wait for 2016 to make the change and in the meantime benefit from all that Sitoh has to offer.

Of course, the whole picture changes if Potong Pasir goes into the history books by being absorbed into a GRC. That is a strong possibility. The PAP knows that this win is just razor thin and could go back to opposition again by the next election.

If they want a re election, they must have a good technical or legal reason to do so, or if there is some violation of the election law.

Marine Parade could have a case of violation during the Cooling Period. Let's see how this is dealt with, or will it be dealt with.

Maybe they want to recount and check the void votes.

Come GE2016, there will not be a SMC called Potong Pasir. Gerrymandering is PAP's habit and will never stop doing. Just look at AMK GRC, why PAP total vote has gone up? Comparing GE2006 and GE2011 boundaries will tell you why. Do you expect a leopard changes its spots?

Will PAP abandon its single party political system for multi-party system? Obvious answer is NO, NO, NO.
Only daft Singaporeans are dreaming for the change. SAD, SAD, SAD.

Holy shit, the 24,000 votershifted out of Aljunied GRC, some into Ang Mo Kio GRC, probably helped pinky to raise his support by 3 percentage points.

Don't believe the mandate that he got.

The riot police were there. The first sign of an unhappy people wanted to air their displeasure.

Using the police or military against a peaceful people with some grievances may not be a good thing.

The police took the opportunity to do some drills. Good for training the MIB.

Now, Potong Pasir residents really are repenting.

There is an interesting piece in TR by someone blasting Potong Pasir residents for losing Potong Pasir after 27 long years. I agree with him.

There is a very high possibility that there will not be a Potong Pasir SMC comes next GE.

Not possibility but definitely.

Potong Pasir will be history and in time, forgotten, together with the legacy of Chiam.
