FICA - Singapore will not be influenced by any foreign powers to do their biddings

The passing of the FICA is Singapore's message that it would not tolerate foreign influence in its policy decision making process. Singapore will make its policies according to its national interest. Foreign influence and interference are when Singapore has to make policies that it did not want to. When Singapore makes policies willingly, in collaboration with foreign powers, it is not being influenced or interfered, it is 'voluntary', this is the key difference. I like, so I do, see, free from foreign interference. Singapore is an independent country and has its right to do as it likes.

Some may ask, were there any kind of 'discussion' with foreigners before a major decision affecting foreign countries is made, and if this constitutes foreign interference or influence? I don't know. It depends on who you asked.

What about policies like cannot use Chinese vaccines? Got foreign interference or influence or not?

What about CECA and the big influx of Indians into Singapore? This one I think sure no. Because the CECA is good for Singapore, and the influx of Indians is good for Singapore, creating jobs for Singapore, including helping to recruit foreigners to replace daft Singaporeans with unsuitable skills and useless degrees. They also buy a lot of properties to sustain the high property prices. Very good for Singapore.

What about allowing Americans to use Changi Naval Base? This one sure no pressure from Americans. They are our best friends and we want them to be here.

What about not using Huawei's best 5G technology in the world, and chose more backward 5G technology from the West? I think this one depends on the people that decided what to use. If they said Huawei not good, West 5G good, then so be it. Oh, Huawei's 5G could eavesdrop on your communication, the American said so, but got no proof, just said only. Americans don't lie, always tell the truth.

What about the badmouthing of China in the media? Oops, no, just republishing articles from western media, it is a commercial decision. Nothing to do with the govt. Singapore does not badmouth China because China is our biggest trading partner, with deep historical and cultural roots. The few clowns that badmouthed China in the South China Sea dispute did it in their own personal capacity.

Any more questions?

What about using only Western countries produced vaccines for the National Vaccination Program. And deliberately refused to include other traditional vacancies produced in Asia, especially China?

I sense there must be foreign influences in one form or another, in one way or another - written or verbal, direct or indirect.

Until now, WHY HAS THE SINOVAC AND SINOPHARM VACCINES NOT INCLUDED IN THE SINGAPORE NATIONAL VACCINATION PROGRAM!!!???

The FICA law, before it even started to be utilised for purpose of political objectives, personal or national, is already seen as a bias law.

Any law that is seen as a bias law cannot hold. It has to be rescind or declared null and void.

Otherwise, it is illegal, irrespective of whether it is passed by Parliament or rubber stamped by the Head of State.

It makes a mockery of the whole legal system.

What about CECA policy, investment of sovereign reserves in India?

Very simple to navigate from FICA. Just get the foreigners, who will be influencing or making decisions for Singaporeans, to become New Singapore Citizens (NSC) like DBS and other GLCs.

What about employing or paying foreigners to write pro-western propaganda in our mass media in order to influence the thinking of our citizens?

It is definitely one category of direct and/or indirect foreign influence. No?

When the clowns sell Singapore away they will turn around and brag that they sold it for a good price. Not under foreign influence.

The first candidate to be sold is the national bank operating in India.

In Taiwan they have Japanese with Chinese names calling for the independence of Taiwan, and seeking to be a part of Japan.

This is not foreign interference of influence because many Taiwanese did not know that those with Chinese names are actually Japanese.

Best of all, isn't foreign experts that support government exercising foreign influence when they on the media supporting government's decision ?

So isn't this the case of foreign inference that support government =100% approved, those not support government = FOREIGN INFERENCE ?

Indian IT professionals have been designing softwares and websites for the Singapore Government and Statutory Boards, and privatised Government enterprises over the last twenty years.

Surely, there are tons of Foreign Influences in those softwares and websites.

Singapore sending army commanders, military pilots, naval commanders, intelligence personnel, commandoes and special units to the US, Israel and other countries for training over the last 50 years.

Are they not deliberately put into those countries and courses for the purpose of getting foreign influences and indoctrination?

Pro-Japanese Taiwan DPP may implement a similar FICA to block out purported Chinese 'foreign' influence but close one eye on Japanese interference.

Direct foreign influences are being imported through the hiring of foreign talents into the private and public sectors. These foreign influences are experienced and entrenched into the Singapore society on a daily 24/7 basis, without respite, directly, subtly, psychologically, physically, culturally, economically, religiously and LEGALLY!

As such, the new FICA Law is a symbol of the highest hypocrisy of mankind in the fraternity of the legal profession.

Forum: Positive outcomes of seniors who recovered from Covid-19 would raise spirits

As a member of the over-80-years-old cohort, I find that all my contemporaries to whom I have spoken are scared of catching Covid-19 and dying from it.

But interestingly, they are even more scared of testing positive and being whisked away to isolation, without the helpers, friends or loved ones who are so vitally important to their mental, physical and social well-being at this time of life.

The Government gives us statistics daily. We learn of those who have died, most with underlying health problems.

Positive outcomes are typically not shared with us.

Would it not be possible to be told the percentage of those over 80 who have caught Covid-19 in, say, the past three months, and have made it through?

Being told the number who did not need hospital treatment or oxygen would also be welcome.

Sharing information on how many fully vaccinated people over the age of 80 have done well after being infected may help allay this widespread and overwhelming sense of fear, and improve our quality of life.

Smearing campaign on China and Chinese again. If that is not your intention, what is?

There is a saying:

"Using someone's knife to kill other people."

Australia passed the same law last year with China in mind. With China's coming hugh digital investments here, the law gets passed at such speed, is it also targeted at China too? Coincidence?
