What If Singapore Became A Western Power's Military Base?

Once Singapore becomes a military base of the Five Eye, China will not respond kindly. Even Russia will do something. The other ASEAN countries will not take it sitting down either.

The whole geopolitical situation in the region and world stage changes.

Singapore cannot tell the world that it is neutral anymore.

It cannot say it's balancing the superpowers anymore.

It has openly become an appendage of the Western Powers, specifically the White Supramacists, and therefore will be seen and treated by the Arab countries, ASEAN, China, India, Russia and North Korea as such.

What will those countries do?

1. Diplomatically, they may express disappointment, disapproval or displeasure. Some may sermon the Singapore Ambassador for consultation and questioning. Some may cut off diplomatic relationship altogether.

2. Trade and commerce. Some may boycott Singapore's exports or impose sanctions on Singapore's key exports/imports, especially China, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

3. Sanctions. Sanctions may also be imposed on Temasek Holdings, GIC and their subsidiaries, and many Singapore key personnel, by China and Russia, even Indonesia and Malaysia.

4. Banking and Finance. Singapore's banking and financial institutions in other countries may be badly hit by new punitive restrictions imposed by retaliating host countries.

5. There are many other ways to skin a cat - the Singapore fat cat that has turned dangerous, nasty and confrontational.

So, in conclusion, the stakes for Singapore to allow the White Powers to make use of Singapore as their major staging area to launch military operations in Asia and South East Asia are very high and very risky.

Only cowardly fools will succumb to the White Supramacists pressure.

If that happens, the independence of Singapore over the last 56 years becomes null and void. All the nation building efforts simply gone to waste.

And Singapore's leadership will lose the trust and respect of their citizens and foreigners alike, forever!

Think 3 times before you act.

Singapore neighbours will never allow Singapore to become the USA / West military base. Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar and Bangladesh will take strong actions to stop Singapore from being turned into a synonymous 'Israel' state as American and Western guard dog to protect Wedstern aggression and toxic hegemony. We Singaporeans will definitely not allow this to happen. The useless incompetent highly over paid imbeciles must not cross the red line of danger and play with fire. They must stop sucking to US / West aggression and warmongering. Singaporeans are not happy with their inefficiencies and incompetence and look forward to exercise the 'Mandate of Heaven' to throw them out as their coddling to toxic Anglo-Saxon warmongers is exposing Singapore and her neighbouring countries to the disastrous Middle East Syndrome.

Get rid of these imbeciles before they pose any further danger to Singapore and the region.

Pro ASEAN citizen.

The present staunchly pro-US and pro-UK political leaders in the PAP have shown total disrespect and disregard to the people of Singapore and voters of PAP, especially the old and senior citizens.

They do not care about our health, our lives, our livelihoods, our future and our children's future.

They only care about their own status, their own power, their own safety and protection, and their own wealth, to become filthy rich at the expense of the hard work of the taxpayers and citizens. Oldies who have no economic value are left to die of COVID-19 in the hospitals, healthcare centres, community homes and their own homes.

This PAP leadership has not only shown its incompetence, inefficiency, recklessness and ruthlessness. It has also put our lives at stake by playing to the Hegemonic Evil US Empire.

Recently, one big gang of ministers visited the US to receive instructions from their US masters on how to allow the US citizens to freely visit Singapore without the need for Quarantine. In other words, to allow the US citizens free excess to Singapore disregarding the safety and health of Singaporeans.

These irresponsible people must be kicked in the next elections.

Singapore households wealthiest per capita in Asia: Allianz report

SINGAPORE has overtaken Japan to be the richest Asian economy in financial assets on per capita terms, according to a global wealth report by financial services provider Allianz.

Over a decade, the city state's net wealth per capita grew two-fold to hit 119,000 euros (S$186,000) in 2020, said the report published in October.

In 2010, Singapore was ranked second in Asia, while Japan's wealth growth was at a "standstill".

By 2020, Taiwan and Japan lagged Singapore, with net financial assets per capita at 118,000 euros and 100,000 euros, respectively.

Globally, Singapore takes the sixth spot, behind the United States (218,000 euros), Switzerland (212,000 euros), Denmark (149,000 euros), the Netherlands (129,000 euros), and Sweden (125,000 euros).

That has got nothing to do with the majority of Singaporean households. Especially during this Pandemic, many households are struggling to make ends meet.

That report is totally meaningless and misleading.

Misleading because the citizens, permanent residents and foreign talents living and working in Singapore are all lumped together as Singaporean households. It is the foreigners income and wealth that have influenced and inflated the overall figures.

Meaningless because the majority of Singapore's citizens do not enjoy such a high per capita income.

So, don't stupidly taken in by such "feel good" professional statistics massage masseuse.

While travel and social gatherings have been limited, the city has avoided strict second or third lockdowns, leaving residents relatively free to spend on entertainment. Arron Goh, founder of high-end-events company The Inside Access, says he is busier than ever helping clients secure tables at Michelin-starred restaurants or hold yacht parties. “One family of five asked me to organise a three-day vacation on a megayacht,” he says.

Lee Lee Langdale, a golf club membership broker, says she has never seen membership prices so high in her 21 years in business. Memberships at Sentosa Golf Club, one of the island’s most popular, cost up to S$410,000 ($300,000), more than 60 per cent higher than before the pandemic.

But Singapore has not been unaffected by the pandemic. The rapid spread of the Covid-19 Delta variant forced many businesses into unpredictable opening hours.

Bebe Ding, co-founder of the Cru fitness brand, had to hold classes on hotel rooftops and in office blocks and warehouses to keep the business afloat. Often, she worked through the night to record online cycling classes. “It’s been exhausting, but Singapore is still the best place for us to be,” she says.

Le Mirazur, the restaurant on the French Riviera that was named the world’s best in a 2019 ranking, delayed its Singapore pop-up at the private Mandala Club after Covid cases spiked in May.

Residents have also had to contend with increased restrictions on civil liberties and surveillance, on top of oppressive existing laws, such as the prohibition of homosexuality and limits on public protests. The state’s TraceTogether app, which works via Bluetooth, is mandatory in restaurants, cafés, cinemas, hotels and even parks, but some Singaporeans were upset to learn that the police had access to the data for investigations.

The pandemic has not improved the city’s reputation, especially among young people, for being dull, either. Music is forbidden in restaurants and bars — to stop raised voices spreading the virus, the authorities say — while alcohol is also banned in such establishments after 10.30pm.

For business, reopening is a new challenge. Many residents are frustrated at the government’s caution: rather than easing restrictions, it is introducing more, despite rising vaccination levels.

Strict curbs remain on travel and social distancing — social gatherings were limited to two people earlier this month, down from five in the summer.

But Singapore’s measured approach is important for wealthy people, says Repkow. “Many of my clients are global citizens and need to decide their base,” he says. “Singapore is becoming more credible on that front.”

Like the USA, 90% of the wealth is actually concentrated in the hands of the top 1% and their families The ruling politicians are mostly millionaires extraordinaire. Who was the richest person in Singapore is an open secret.

Like the USA, it is a rich country, but poverty is getting more extreme and street dwellers are increasing.

No beggars seen on the street does not mean no beggars hor! Just like no testing does not mean n COVID19. We are very good in creating wonderful images, but scratch below the surface and you see the real Singapore. They even tried to glamourise lousy jobs by giving them high sounding names and titles. Can you beat it?

We are beginning to see change in trajectory of increases in new cases: Ho Ching

Getting there, folks! According to Mdm Ho Ching, we are beginning to see a change in the trajectory of the increases in new cases.

We can tell the trends by looking at the week on week multiple.

“The week on week multiple is an indication of growth rate,” said Mdm Ho.

If growth rate or weekly multiple is more than 1, we would expect a doubling over time.

Conversely speaking, if it is less than 1, we could expect a halving over time.

By way of explanation, Mdm Ho Ching said a weekly multiple of 1.41 means a doubling of new case numbers every 2 weeks; and a weekly multiple of 1.26 means a doubling every 3 weeks.

On the other hand, a weekly multiple of 0.79 means we can expect a halving of new cases every 3 weeks, she explained.

The charts below provide such weekly multiple based on single day new cases, and cumulative weekly new cases.

new cases

new cases, We are beginning to see change in trajectory of increases in new cases: Ho Ching

“The single day data can be affected by the daily variations over the week, eg less testing on weekends.

The weekly cumulative new case data would smooth out the daily variations of the week.

Both are showing that we are beginning to stop doubling, and are seeing the possibility of halving the case loads. ”

A reminder here. It takes between 2-3 weeks for new covid cases to become sick enough to require oxygen, and then a few more days for these oxygen cases to become ICU cases.

So even when the peak of the new case, the numbers will continue to build up for oxygen/ICU/deaths for 2-3 more weeks, said Mdm Ho.

FOR NOW, we should halve the new cases.

Reason: each case adds to the stock in-home recovery, QOs, CCF, CTF, and hospital oxygen, ICU and deaths.

It’s a dynamic balance.

Post-infection, we have fewer Covid-naive people. We also have more people vaccinated or receive their booster.

“At some point when hospital loads become more manageable, we can also increase the new caseload for a new equilibrium as more people are better protected and fewer will proportionately require hospital support and care,” Mdm Ho explained.
Difference between vaccinated and unvaccinated

Recovery is faster for the vaccinated, and hospital stays, if ever needed, is shorter.

For the unvaccinated, 10 times more proportionately will need hospital support for oxygen, ICU, Mdm Ho said.

In addition, recovery is longer, and hospital stay duration is double that for a vaccinated person who needs hospital care for Covid, she added.
The outlook

Mdm Ho said it helped that we would have paediatric vaccines by year-end and/or early next year for kids under 12.

At the same time, new treatments are also coming on stream over the next 3-6-12 months.

In particular, a long-lasting antibody booster from AstraZeneca looks very interesting, Mdm Ho said.

“This provides antibodies for a one-year protection. If this goes well, it is a boon for folks with the impaired immune system, folks under active chemo treatment for cancer, folks with newly transplanted organs, folks with HIV, or any of the immune response-related conditions.”
Other developments

They include nasal spray vaccines which could stimulate the IgA type antibodies that patrol the linings of our nose, throat, gut and lungs.

“The mucosal lining in our nose and throat is the typical first point of contact with the Covid virus,” Mdm Ho Ching explained.

“The hope is that with the IgA boosted by nasal spray vaccines, we can have better prevention of infection in the first place, and not just prevent a range of symptomatic infections from mild to fatal,” she added.

Many of the eligible folks in their 50s and 60s have taken their boosters.

However, many of those in their 70s, and especially in their 80s and order, depend on their children, grandchildren, friends, or neigh to help them go for their vaccination.

Can our young people help their old folks to get their boosters?

The boosters are showing huge jumps in antibody levels, including neutralising antibody levels, way above the peak levels after the 2nd shot.

This not just improves protection against acute illness requiring oxygen supplement or ICU care, and against death.

The booster provides a very strong shield against getting infected in the first place.

With such strong antibody levels, we start off from a high level, so it will take longer to wane, compared to the protection after the 1st 2 shots.

Instead of 6-9 months of protection, we could be getting protection for 9-15 months or even longer. We will wait doe the data over the next 6-12 months for a better read.

With the strong antibodies, we are practically certain that the T cells and B cells are working vigorously. These will also help provide longer term fast immune response to make antibodies and killer T cells, etc, even after the antibody levels have waned.

So can we all reach out to friends, family, and neighbours, to help our Pioneer Generation to get boosted.

And if the old folks have not yet been vaccinated, don’t give up.

I am cheered when friends report that they managed to persuade a friend or an aunt or a father to go get vaccinated.

Others need help, not just to be vaccinated. They need hand holding after vaccination too as they may worry about after effects. So work with them to keep in touch, and offer to bring them somewhere for an outing 2-4 weeks after their 2nd shot.

The same for boosters too.

Many Pioneer Generation folks depend on others to being them for their shots.

Offer to go with them, and offer to call them or visit them regularly after their booster, and offer to take them out for a meal 2 weeks after their boosters.

Can we remember that behind each person who needs a vaccination or a booster is a human being who may be hungry for the human touch, who may fear dying or dying alone, or who may be have dementia and is oblivious to the world, but can laugh with others?

Perhaps, these are mere conjectures, speculations and theories - still do not qualify as confirmed facts?

Why the Experts Committee did not say anything?

Why the Chief of Communicable Diseases is not telling the public?

Why the Multi-Ministry Task Force is not conveying the facts to the public?

Why the PM or Health Minister is not delivering?

Of all people in the Government, why is it that such things are being spread by Ho Ching, who is not even a member of Parliament?

Can she, being the ex-CEO of Temasek Holdings and wife of PM, override and overshadow all the Government Bodies and Government Leaders?

Something is not right, isn't it?

Can the information even be reliable?

Did President Biden's wife go around spreading personal opinions about the COVID-19 Pandemic to the whole world?

Did any other countries' leaders go around talking about things that will impact the whole nation?

Did the President of Singapore spoken anything about COVID-19 Pandemic, Endemic, Living with COVID-19 or even tell the people to take care of themselves or encourage the citizens to go for Vaccination? Zero!

Is Ho Ching acting on behalf of the President of Singapore?

By persistently over-riding and undermining the authorities of the Government Leaders, isn't she putting people off instead of helping?

No 'flip-flop' on COVID strategy, 'massive deaths' averted: Ong Ye Kung

Health Minister Ong Ye Kung has denied that Singapore's COVID management strategy amounts to a "flip-flop", claiming that its "middle-of-the-road approach" and strict controls throughout the large part of the past 20 months of the pandemic has helped avert the "many tragic deaths" seen in other countries.

"It is the correct approach for Singapore and, day by day, we are moving closer to the light at the end of the tunnel," said Ong in his opening address at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Asia Pacific Conference on Monday morning (18 October).

Ong, who co-chairs the multi-ministry task force (MTF) on COVID-19, stressed that the city-state did not take a purist 'zero-COVID' or ‘living with COVID’ approach. Instead, it adopted an eradication strategy when the population was vulnerable. "After vaccines have given us a protective shield, we are opening up progressively, and avoiding a sudden lifting of all restrictions.

"Some may feel that this middle-of-the-road approach is unclear, and may even appear to be a 'flip-flop'. But it has helped us avert the massive deaths that many countries have suffered from," claimed Ong.

The Ministry of Health is mobilising more manpower resources, with 1,600 trained volunteers stepping forward to help with polymerase chain reaction swab operations. Private sector hospitals are also being roped in to help share the load and the burden, said Ong.

The MTF has attracted much criticism for constantly changing safe management measures and healthcare protocols, with Ong acknowledging the need to simplify the "many and complex" protocols. Earlier this month, Ong claimed that the government has always planned for the possibility of a "big surge" in COVID-19 cases.

On Sunday, nine more individuals died of COVID-19, as 3,058 new cases were confirmed, bringing the country's total case count to 148,178. It marked the 28th day in a row with COVID fatalities reported in Singapore. A total of 132 people here have succumbed to it thus far this month with 233 deaths in the pandemic to date.

Singapore is now transitioning into the endemic phase of the pandemic, with officials stressing the need to live with the coronavirus. From Tuesday, vaccinated travel lanes (VTLs) will be opened for fully-vaccinated travellers from eight more countries to Singapore: Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Only up to two persons per group who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are currently allowed to dine in at hawker centres and coffee shops, and enter shopping malls and attractions.

On 27 September, Singapore returned to a two-person dining-in rule for a period of four weeks as it aimed to slow down community COVID-19 transmission.

The MTF is set to review these measures by this Sunday.

Singapore Doctor who Opposed mRNA Covid-19 Vaccines Got Pfizer Jab

Dr Kho Kwang Po, who raised concerns about mRNA covid-19 vaccine side effects, has just received his first shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

Ironically, he was one of five doctors who signed an open letter in June questioning the safety of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on children and calling for the national vaccination to stop.

Dr Kho has been arguing that vaccines do not work and persistently warned about vaccine casualties.

It thus came as a surprise that Dr Kho changed his mind and decided to get the Pfizer shot.

On 14 Oct, Dr Kho posted that he was at Clementi Community Club vaccination centre with his wife to get their vaccination. He said he took the Pfizer vaccine for travel.

What made him change his mind? Was he eventually convinced of the vaccine’s safety and efficacy? One thing’s for sure: he will find out soon.

Anonymous said...

He already said he did it for purpose of "travel". Don't have to insinuate otherwise. To do so means you are either missing the point or mischievously inclined.

He is in total denial.
So many flip-flops, yet got the cheek to say no flip-flop.
Caused so many preventable and avoidable deaths, yet got the cheek to say prevented massive deaths.
Greatest flip-flop of words, flipping around the negatives to become positive for self-protection and self-promotion. Shameless!
