COVID-19: When And How To Open Up

COVID-19: When And How To Open Up

When more and more people are sickened by COVID-19 all the time, or killed by COVID-19, where is the need for jobs? Only when people can stay healthy and kicking then they can work. Then they need jobs.

Yes, open up is necessary at some point in time. But when and how you open up is the key point. Better be safe than be sorry and regret. You open up too early, you risk going back to square one again and again. And if you are careless and reckless by not considering all the probabilities, you will also go back to square one, or even worse off. You may not recover

You can't simply say, "Now that we have 82% vaccinated, we can treat the Pandemic as Endemic, and starts a new normal".

If this COVID-19 virus has not taught you to be careful, then you have wasted one and half years of our precious and difficult time.

You can't carelessly open to any country 'Quarantine-Free', just because they can show you a piece of paper showing that they have been vaccinated. That paper most probably could be fake or improperly authorized through, bribery. Are you do gullible?

You can't be reckless by being blinded by your zeal to kick-start the economy as early as possible, just because 82% of people have been vaccinated. The full vaccination lasts only 3-6 months, not forever. The vaccinated are still being infected and killed. More than 50% to 60% of those who died were among the vaccinated group. So, Vaccination must not be a free ticket to everything. The vaccinated can still spread the virus to both the unvaccinated and the other vaccinated.

You are dealing with the Coronaviruses
not with the people, vaccinated or not. The important thing is to be very careful with the Coronaviruses. Very careful not to allow carriers of the Coronavirus to enter our country and spread it everywhere they go.

You must not let your guards down at all times, whether open up or locked down.

Masks, safe distancing, washing of hands, group activities limitation, testing and Quarantine are necessary. Once you let any of these be removed, you are reckless. You are asking for troubles again.

The Coronavirus is waiting like a hawk above you, like a ghost next to you, and like a swarm of bees around you, waiting for you to make the slightest mistake, the slightest opening, to allow it to strike. It strikes without mercy, without any care of who you are, what you are or where you are. It simply loves to infect you, the careless ones, the reckless ones.

The Coronavirus is not going to abide by your beautifully dreamt up plans or forceful orders. It will give you its middle finger/spike and bulldoze its way through whatever flimsy perimeter fence that you may have put up.

What we must do at all times:

1. Respect the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

2. Fear the COVID-19 Coronavirus. Don't dismiss it as insignificant and think that it cannot infect you. The PM told you not to let fear paralyze you. That's correct. But fear you must have. Otherwise, you will not respect the Coronavirus. Otherwise, you will not keep the safe distance. Otherwise, you will not be bothered to wear a mask or to wear it properly. Otherwise, you will become careless, reckless and heartless. Fear is a very good friend. Don't dismiss it. But also don't be paralyzed by it.

3. Be on guard all the times, like your life depends on it. Wear your mask all the time, in a proper way. Wash your hands. Keep safety distance, etc.

4. Be considerate not to transmit it to fellow Singaporeans, especially the oldies. When you feel you are sick, stay at home. Quarantine yourself. Get help if necessary.

If the whole population of people are fully educated, disciplined and willing to abide by the above 4 rules, then we can slowly and cautiously open up.

You don't open up just because you have 82% of people vaccinated! That is a lousy basis to based on. Vaccination with pseudo vaccines effective only 3-6 months, gives you a false sense of security and safety. We must not fail into that trap knowingly.

Got Vaccination means the virus very scared already. The virus dare not attack all those who are vaccinated. They only attack those who are not vaccinated. That's why Gabramen said unvaccinated must be punished and imprisoned at home in order to protect them. See? The Gabramen are so clear, so caring some more. Also very sadistic and cruel, right or wrong?

Must balance good and bad mah. Cannot just say the good things only mah. Must also tell the bad things mah. The truth always hurts, I know. But we have been brought up by LKY to always tell the truth mah. So, can't be helped. Must tell the truth. Otherwise, kena POFMA or FICA, how?

Open up before they achieve herd immunity is not according to their plan. This is highly risky. Shows that they are very impatient and reckless.

Just watch. The daily infections will reach 5,000 a day once the foreigners start coming in to spread their silent Coronavirus. The hospitals will be overwhelmed. Singaporeans will have to hide in their homes. Life will turn miserably and horribly difficult, instead of turning normal.

Yes, the daily infections will reach as far as it goes, but the reported number always be capped and hover around some magical number to make the public feel good. After all, the government has always love to play with number game that totally disconnected with reality.

I still remember TR EMERITUS publish in one of the post on the dubious death pattern to be so suspiciously and consistently low daily compare to other countries given the alarming rate of infection , that somehow days later the reported figures go up. Someone must be reading TR EMERITUS and start panicking that their tricks are been exposed, and go on recovery mode.

For more than 55 years they have clamped down on the citizens so tightly, they have forgotten how to open up or what opening up means. Probably renaming the pandemic as endemic is their idea of opening up. As I see it, the noose is tightening even further with new laws and rules being enacted during this pandemic.

Jialat, our precious pm kena scolded until so jialat. Perhaps people have been holding back for far too long all their anger and frustration all this while. He took over in 2004, almost 17 years already.

From The Independent:

In an open letter to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on social media, one Constance Chew has opined that projects such as ‘Gardens at the Airport’, Medishield Life, affordable HDBs and education “Changes” are all “sillier than how you look in pink”.

She wrote that she felt PM Lee had “misplaced priorities”. Starting out with Gardens at the Airport – a term which likely refers to the Enchanted Garden at Terminal 2, the Butterfly Garden at Terminal 3, a Cactus Garden and many others scattered throughout the airport, Ms Chew wrote:

“We do not need more billion dollar playgrounds for foreigners. Gardens by the Bay cost $1.1 billion to build, $53 million a year to maintain…!

As for your pet Project Jewel, Singapore is now bleeding at least $100 million every year just on maintenance alone…!”

She went on to talk about MediShield Life, a basic health insurance plan, administered by the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board.

“Universal insurance for Singaporeans is a good step in the right direction. But how much are you going to make us pay…?” Ms Chew asked.

Comparing Singapore’s MediShield Life with a similar Australian policy, she wrote:

“We have had enough of you telling us “you cannot opt out”. Your CPF Life Annuity was like this. Why am I not allowed the choice to opt-out when you have no transparency and accountability to show of in your system…?”

On the topic of HDB flats, Ms Chew opined that public housing was not affordable.

“What is affordable when you have to take a 25 year loan? You are encouraging irresponsible parents to take up huge loans and pass on the debt over to their children”, she wrote.

“When we talk about Education “changes”, nothing has been mentioned about the lack of university places and the increasing costs of tertiary education. Right when you are calling every foreigner holding a degree “talent”, you are doing nothing to help aspiring Singaporeans obtain their degrees, so please, cut the hypocrisy and keep your change."
