Even before he enters the White House, Trump is already drunk with crazy ideas, warning friends and foe alike with punishments if they do not listen to him.
I think some allies were indeed stunned over his rhetoric. Canada and Mexico were stunned over Trump's tariff threat and protesting vehemently. India now facing the deportation of 18,000 undocumented Indians has still not expressed any response. The Adani issue has already indicated to India what is coming with Trump in the White House. The bus is in the parking lot, waiting for India to go under, LOL.
The irony is that China is already well aware and well prepared for what is coming with Trump in the White House, knowing fully well what the intentions of the USA are under whichever President. China already tasted the Trump years during his first term. Both parties in the USA are anti-China in their policies, following the same playbook. Therefore, China will not be caught by any surprise going forward. And one important sector that China must not relax itself is in upgrading and strengthening its defense capabilities. Never mind what the USA or the West keep accusing China of not being upfront about its escalating spending on defense matters. This is of National importance and not for any country to voice opposition over how much China spends on its military.

The USA and its allies can continue to jump up and down about China's spending on its military, but it does not matter. What is important is that China needs to keep up its military upgrading to defend itself.
Forget about their outcry hyping up the number of nuclear missiles that China is now building. Or comparing the advantage of their aircraft carriers with China and downplaying Chinese aircraft carriers as inferior. Or showing purported growing silo sites in the Gobi Desert to support their agenda. It is none of their concern as such weapons and sites are not for offence but mainly for defense, being built on Chinese soil.
While the USA warships are carrying all the weapons of mass destruction on the high seas, threatening everyone, no one raise any eyebrow over such behavior.
When a Russian warship docks in a South American port, there is such a hue and cry, it baffles the mind. In fact, even before a Chinese warship docks at the Chancay Port built by the Chinese, the war mongering cry is already loud and clear.
The same shameless behavior of the USA, the West and India are also heard when China is helping to develop Pakistan's Gwadar Port. Much is being said about Pakistanis protesting against the project, which we know is all instigated by you know who.
Gwadar Port is important for China's access to Middle East oil, with building of other facilities across Pakistan and Afghanistan for the import of oil by China across land. This is to prepare for blockade in times of war of the Straits of Malacca. Afghanistan and China are developing good relations in cross border trade. It is quite a noticeably a less known fact that Afghanistan shares a narrow common border with China, which can be exploited into a win-win situation for both countries.
Even though China's military spending is much lower than the USA, there is more bang for the buck. This fact is quite instrumental, as there is so much corruption and siphoning of USA military spending that goes under the radar.
We have heard of US$600 toilet seat covers being supplied to the military. We have heard of bags of some kind of nuts and bolts costing the USA military US$90,000, that people on the streets can buy for US$100. Such is the kind of spending that the USA military is being clobbered by contractors.
The above are just two examples of the kind of rip-off that is ongoing in the USA military. What about the weapons and shells made for the military? I believe the same modus operandi of slaughtering is being carried out. Bombs are being charged to the military at prices that literally cost a 'bomb'. No wonder the cost of a reaper drone is about US$30 million. And its performance lags even a civilian drone made by DJI costing a couple of thousand dollars. And F35s are so expensive, costing upwards of US$110 million each. But no sweat, since those weapons are sold to countries around the world, who are paying through their noses.
So, the USA Government is blindly being ripped off by the likes of the military contractors and players. Life is so good for them that they want wars to be perpetual. And the Military Industrial Complex is a known component of the Deep State, with huge influence in Congress. It is a black hole with the Pentagon unable to explain for the US$ trillions that could not be accounted for.
