Australia had done well, but starting to close up to China and if it continues this road, would fulfill the prophecy of become the white trash of Asia. Asia will become the new tech hub led by China and India. In 1967 he talked about the rise of China and anything Singapore can do, China can do better. His assessment of the potential of Xi Jinping, Japan, Vietnam, India with individual talents bogged down by bureaucracy and culture, etc, etc, etc. Finally, he predicted that he would become a villain after his death. This is also coming true. Every little politician thinks it is alright to criticise and attack him, some to the point that he is stupid and can be easily conned even in legal matters., like his will.

The irony is that after decades of suing people to protect his good name, it all goes down to nothingness, by becoming a villian, destroying his legacy, his reputation and even his family.
That he did predicted this is even more tantalising.
"good name" is nothing as long as one have million $$ & power to enjoy while alive.
Did he enjoyed his wealth? He is a health freak according to those who knew him more personally.
Power of course is his forte. There is a joke years ago that when people passed on and went in front of the God of Hell to face judgement, God of Hell would normally stand up to welcome them. But the God of Hell refused to stand up to greet Kuan Yu, fearing that his seat will be taken over immediately by Kuan Yu, LOL.
