The South and SE Asia political chess board

Apple's manufacturing in India still depends on Chinese supply chains providing essential components for its factories, which right now is being shipped to India to support the Apple manufacturing base in India. No other country is able to provide the bulk of those components even if they try. China should start to restrict export of all those components to India as well.

Since India wants to start playing games against Chinese manufacturers in India, China can easily oblige. China depends little on India and can easily find alternative sources for its requirements, like iron ore.

For India to antagonise China right now is committing economic suicide like the EU, when India needed investments in manufacturing to create all the jobs for its high growth population. Having a fast growing population needs fast growing job creation, and only in manufacturing is this possible.

Which country has been investing big time in Vietnam, India, Bangladesh and Asean over the decades? Chinese companies should now avoid India at all cost, whether in technology, infrastructure or raw materials extraction. Let the Japs and Western countries help India and see what they get. China should focus on Africa.

Talking about ASEAN, despite the groups economic orientation towards China generally, the Philippines is the weak link that the USA is exploiting. With a weak leader, a hardcore anti-China military, a population highly brainwashed by the USA propaganda machine over the decades, and with lots of younger half bred Pinoys of USA/Filipino blood, it is easy to manipulate the Government and country.

Manipulating Indonesia and Malaysia, with Muslims the controlling power, the USA is unlikely to succeed, though there have been attempts in Malaysia over the years. Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia are basically friendly towards China, and afford little leeway in terms of free elections for the USA to install stooges into power. That leave Vietnam, which the USA is trying, via India, to instigate hostilities towards China, knowing the South China Sea dispute is something to leverage on. But Vietnam depends mainly on the Chinese Market for its products and unlikely to bite the carrot offered by India of a bath tub gift for a start. That leaves the Philippines as the most promising weak link that the USA is going all out to exploit.

Who is the 'dictator' dictating to Marco Jr how to conduct his diplomacy in a manner that favours the USA, to the extent of allowing the USA to demand more bases in the Philippines to host more troops and weapons? For what purpose and against who? Who is threatening the Philippines among other Asean members? This is as clear a daylight that the Philippines is officially a vassal state of the USA. Of course I am just repeating the obvious that people knew already ages ago.

The Philippine Military, ostensibly deemed incapable by the USA, is at least perfectly capable of taking care of the rebels, and does not need more USA military personnel to help. Only a very weak leader would fall for that hubris. And the USA knows how to exploit the weakness of Marcos Jr.

Former Philippine President, Rodrigo Duterte, even threatened to kick the USA out of the Philippines during his Presidency. But fearing for his survival at the hands of the CIA, he reluctantly backed down. Even without the help of the USA he was able to kick the butt of drug lords and drug personalities, which mysteriouly was not to the USA's liking. Now Rodrigo Duterte is being issued an arrest warrant by the ICC for his war on drugs. Who is behind?

USA leaders from top to bottom are nothing more than 'dictators'. They visited Africa and tried to 'dictate' to African leaders how to govern the country, trying to educate them on human rights and attempting to force them to tow the LGBTQ line. The Africans told them to shut the fxxk up and forget about teaching them human rights and the necessity to follow the West on LGBTQ issues.

Joe Biden tried to 'dictate' to Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia to compel OPEC+ to increase oil production after the start of the Ukraine war, when Russian oil was sanctioned by the USA and EU. That was after Biden called Mohammed bin Salman a 'pariah'. Biden shamelessly thinks that MBS will forget his deliberate spite and still support him. OPEC+ just ignored Biden's call, came together and even cut oil production, clearly in support of Russia. The USA can no longer 'dictate' to OPEC+. OPEC+ is instead dictating to the USA. What a turnaround!

Now Joe Biden calling Xi a 'dictator' is not going to have an invitation from Xi to visit Beijing during the rest of his lifetime. He can sleep and dream about it, but waking up sweating and remembering his 'dictator' remark has put him in the bad books of Xi. He may have forgotten due to his dementia excuse, but not Xi or other Chinese leaders.

The terrorists and drug lords in the Philippines were supported and trained by the Americans, who declared they were there to take care of these problems. Indeed the Americans are taking care of these problems so that they would not go aware and remain the problems forever, to justify the presence of the American forces.

The Americans also told the Arabs they were them to help the Palestinians and solve the Palestinian problems. They have been there for decades but did nothing to solve the problems and the fate of the Palestinians only get worse and their land stolen by the Israelis and the massacre of the Palestinians continues everyday.

Still some silly Muslim countries trust the Americans and want to go to bed with the Americans when the number enemy of the Muslims is the Americans.

So was the golden triangle in Northern Myanmar. Sure there were supposedly crackdowns now and then, but realistically it is against those that are competing with the CIA in the drug trade.

Duterte was hitting somebody's pocket in the Philippine drug business. And they do not like it.

Singapore's popular SGX Nifty taken over by India !

The popular SGX Nifty will be re-branded as GIFT NIFTY from July 3 and all the derivative contracts worth $7.5 billion, earlier traded in Singapore, will shift to India.

The beginning of the operation of GIFT NIFTY will be a significant step in the shifting of the base Singapore Exchange to the NSE International Exchange (NSE IX) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

GIFT City is the new financial hub in Gujarat, which the government intends to develop as a competitor of other global financial centres like Dubai, Mauritius, and Singapore.

The recent move is set to come into effect after the resolution of a five-year-old feud between the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd came to an end. It holds special significance for India's trade market and Gujarat's GIFT city.

MD and CEO of NSE International Exchange, V Balasubramaniam, called the move to be a “watershed moment in the history of India," according to an Economic Times report. He said that for the first time, India will get an international contract which was earlier exported out of India.

With the shifting of derivative contracts due to SGX-Nifty tie up, Indian bourses revenue is also expected to rise in the current financial year. Nifty derivative contracts used to be a major contributor to SGX's revenue from higher average fees and volumes.
