When the ISS breaks down and astronauts are trapped inside, the Americans would have to depend on SpaceX, Russia and China to conduct the rescue mission. If SpaceX for whatever reasons cannot supple the rockets for the mission, the Americans are going to make demands that the Russians or Chinese must do it to save the American or international astronauts.
The Americans would cry father and cry mother that it becomes the responsibility of Russia and China to rescue their trapped astronauts, just like starting the Ukraine War and putting the responsibility on China to stop the war. This is playbook 101 for the irresponsible Americans. They know that they are risking the lives of all the astronauts in the ISS but still want to put up a show that all its well, keep on sending astronauts to the ISS knowing very well that any moment, yes any moment, it would fail to function and the astronauts would be trapped inside and could possibly die.
Then they would curse the Russians and Chinese for not wanting to save them and blame them for being irresponsible. This is going to happen soon, whether real or planned, that the ISS would fail and a big anti Russia and anti China narrative would be launched, that Russia and China are irresponsible for not wanting to save the American astronauts.
Why should it be the responsibility of Russia or China to save them when the Americans insist on taking the risk knowing very well that it is likely to happen? Why should Russia and China be responsible to provide backup rockets to save the Americans when they have nothing to do with the reckless American adventurism?
Whether it is a real emergency or fake emergency, Russia and China must not fall into this American dead trap and accept the responsibility to save the American astronauts. Let them pay for their own folly, arrogance and irresponsibility.

The arrogrant and boastful Americunts like the Teochew savings "Boh ren tnk see pak" had wasted so many so many hours by posting their launching of the NASA what's Atemis aka Archilles online and anti claimax cannot even lift off an inch.
All their bullshits hollywood make believe of their power space explorations and explosions.
Now China protested that they are hacking into their Space datas.

Rescue them? China would say "Piss Off" for the treatment of barring them from even stepping on and participating in the ISS program.
Russia will say 'good riddance'. Russian abandoned or is abandoning the ISS and the USA wanted to continue running it as they have no choice. They have to live with the rescue problem should anything happen to it.
Russia is said to be building it's own new space station and this time you can be sure no USA will be on board to dictate. As China sarcastically pointed out, the USA cannot provide the technological edge nor add value to the space research, so why invite them? The USA has only one objective, and that is to dominate space with their space force. Nothing peaceful about that, nor doing research to add value to space science and technology.
As on earth, keep the Devil out, or no peace will prevail in space going forward.
I think for humanitarian reason, China Russian would help.
During the Morrison gov in Australia, when there was plenty.of hate in the gov, media and public against China and the CPC, an Auatralian researcher was stuck in a life and death situation in Antarctica. No air or sea operation was possible to rescue him except an ice breaker vessel.
It so happened one was close by and it was a Chinese research ship. Needless to say, it went its way to do the rescue and the man was airlifted back to Australia when it was safe to do so.
People everywhere are generally good. They are influenced by others, self centred politicians and media to do hate.
Helping people is a good thing. But helping a snake that is intent on turning around and biting you, would you extend your hand to get bitten?
People can be inflenced by self centred politicians and media to hate, but it is the politicians that carry out the policies of inciting hatred to start wars, regime changes, subterfuge and creating chaos.
In the end, that help is tatamount to helping the evil and immoral politicians to carry out more evil doings, and the people thinking that their politicans are doing the right thing and keep putting them in power.
When the ISS fail, they are going to blame the Russians. Blaming is their culture. The only take away is that they never blame themsleves. It is always somebody else's fault.
I think they are trying to reverse engineered the Russian space technology in the ISS space station, that is why they still want to continue manning it. Don't say they steal. Not nice! The bananas would be angry.
The Americans cannot stand to face a situation when the China Space Station is operating without the ISS in space. This is a big slap in their face. So the Americans die, die must keep the ISS operating, keep on extending its lifespan when it was already expired 5 years ago.
Now they are taking very high risk with the lives of the astronauts in an expired space station that could collapse any moment or certain pieces falling off, endangering the lives of the astronauts. They are doing this knowing how dangerous it is but just want to keep up a show that they still have a space station operating. They are asking for it.
If they are flirting with death intentionally, why should they risk the lives of other innocent people and wasting the resources of other people, especially those they called enemies to give them a helping hand in a life and death situation?
Russia and China should tell them to vacate the highly dangerous ISS immediately and telling the Americans they would not be responsible to compromise their critical resources and manpower to save them should ISS goes kaput.
