NASA Failed 2nd Attempt To Put A Crew Capsule Into Lunar Orbit

A serous fuel leak has forced the launch controllers to call off their second attempt to send a crew capsule into lunar orbit with test dummies.

The first attempt earlier in the week was also marred by escaping hydrogen, but those leaks were elsewhere on the 322-foot (98 metres) rocket, the most powerful ever built by NASA.

There was no immediate word on when NASA might try again. After Tuesday, a two-week launch blackout period kicks in.

Extensive fuel leak repairs could require that the rocket be hauled off the pad and back into its hangar, possibly pushing the flight into October.

Launch director Charlie Blackwell-Thompson and her team tried to plug Saturday’s leak the way they did the last time: stopping and restarting the flow of super-cold liquid hydrogen in hopes of removing the gap around a seal in the supply line. They tried that twice and also flushed helium through the line, but the leak persisted. So, she called it off for the day.

There were other issues with this rocket in the past:

1) NASA delays moon rocket liftoff after engine trouble.

2) NASA’s new moon rocket reaches launch pad for flight around moon, first fuel leak discovered.

3) Now the new moon rocket has to go back into the cold storage to get it redesigned, probably.

Question is:

Why are they reinventing the wheel? Why can't they just use the previous Apollo series? Unless, of course, those Apollo series were just for entertainment purposes? They were a hoax?

In the mean time, the Russians have already launched the Iranian satellite into space from the Kazakhstan base.

And the Chinese have already sent its 3rd rocket into the lunar orbit.

'Many in Russian space program circles started to talk after yet another delay, one of those being rocket systems engineer Dmitry Konanykhin (in Russian), Artemis-1 is nothing more than same ol' slightly modified Shuttle Launch System which, naturally, inherited most problems this system had to start with. Sticking some brand new orbital module on the top of essentially the same tank which was responsible for destroying both Challenger and Columbia and killing their crews is not a way to do it. Dmitry is very gracious towards NASA engineers because he constantly stresses that as engineers they are good, but they are constantly under pressure to "deliver" including by bypassing safety procedures. We heard this story before, didn't we? We know how it all ends.'

The question is, how did they land on the moon more than 50 years ago with this kind of technological capability? I am flabbergasted, to say the least.

In the 60s/70s, the power of their computers were no better than today's pocket calculator. They were still using punch cards or paper tapes. The material used were of lesser quality than those available today. The scientific knowledge than were less advanced than today.

Most likely their rockets were fired by cannons. Simplicity in design, lesser problem. Oh, think they used gun powder not solid fuel. What else is new?

Everything was so simple then. Take off and returning to earth were also so easily done. Barely a hitch. More like flying a commercial plane, from one city to the next. Soooo easy.

The present rocket is too complicated, so can expect more problems. It is new normal.

How can anyone question the feat of American engineering and science? How can anyone suggest that the Americans were lying?

American science is the best. Americans don't lie. They are the most honest and honourable people. Heheheheheh.

Please don't doubt the Americans or their diehard banana fans would be angry with you. The Americans landed on the moon 7 times. This is indisputable facts. This is American truth, like WMD. like 911 was executed by the Afghan tribesmen, like genocide in Xinjiang, like Russia started the war in Ukraine, like Americans are standing up to protect Muslim minorities, like Americans are fighting for the rights of the Palestinians....

But, but.... after all that, probably expertly faked by Hollywood, they even advanced the narrative that when they were on the moon, they met Aliens on the moon and were warned not to return. Was this a ploy to deter others from finding out their scam?

Nothing is impossible, nothing is unfabricable, after witnessing the Iraq War scam.

"How can anyone suggest that the Americans are lying"

To prove that the Americans are capable of lying, not just suggesting it, just look back at the Iraq War. That was the mother of all lies, conjured by the USA and the UK.

In the 60s and 70s, because there was no Internet, the NASA could easily cough out a story to hook-wink the simpletons of America and the rest of the World.

But now, with the Internet in place, the crooks cannot keep bluffing any more.

Therefore, they have to start from scratch, by inventing a rocket to take them to the moon.

Now, even this rocket has been facing leaking problems. They simply love to leak, I think so.

How can there be a fuel flow problem? How do you design a rocket with a persistent fuel flow problem, which cannot be fixed at the last minute?

That goes to show that the rocket is still not ready for launch, isn't it?

But they think they can lie all they want, and think everybody is being fooled. Such leaky problems have been around since the Challenger disaster in 1986, and they still cannot fix it.

The fortunate thing is that China had been forbidden to take part in rocket development by the USA and the West, otherwise this is one leaky problem that China will learn and probably inherit as well.

So they are now grappling furiously with the leaking problem, with no Russia to help. Even North Korea could help if Trump had been still around. Kim and Trump are naturally close buddies.

It was reported that the USA arrogantly are saying that they will not join the China Space Station unless it meets with their agreement and complies with their standard. What a joke to say that when it is obviously certain that China will not let them join. What standard are they talking about, having problems with even putting a rocket into space.

As it is, China said in no uncertain terms in rejecting their participation, with this retort that "The USA is incapable of providing the technology nor add value to the research on the space station", or something to that effect. Imagine saying that! That was the mother of all rebutals.

It is anxiety time for the silly Americans. They have over extended the lifespan of the ISS and it could breakdown any moment, trapping all the astronauts in the station.

When that happens, not only lives would be at risk, they would be the laughing stock of the who world. With so many astronauts trained, but no where to go for the next 20 years. Waiting for Murphy's Law to hit them.

Every day they are praying that the ISS would not break down and hoping for the best.

Meanwhile China is slowly and steadily building up its latest China Space Station and preparing to take in visitors from the whole world... EXCEPT THE DAMN AMERICANS.

The American astronauts would all be stranded, all dressed up but no where to go. No one is going to invite them for a party.

When the ISS breaks down and astronauts are trapped inside, the Americans would have to depend on SpaceX, Russia and China to conduct the rescue mission. If SpaceX for whatever reasons cannot supple the rockets for the mission, the Americans are going to make demands that the Russians or Chinese must do it to save the American or international astronauts.

The Americans would cry father and cry mother that it becomes the responsibility of Russia and China to rescue their trapped astronauts, just like starting the Ukraine War and putting the responsibility on China to stop the war. This is playbook 101 for the irresponsible Americans. They know that they are risking the lives of all the astronauts in the ISS but still want to put up a show that all its well, keep on sending astronauts to the ISS knowing very well that any moment, yes any moment, it would fail to function and the astronauts would be trapped inside and could possibly die.

Then they would curse the Russians and Chinese for not wanting to save them and blame them for being irresponsible. This is going to happen soon, whether real or planned, that the ISS would fail and a big anti Russia and anti China narrative would be launched, that Russia and China are irresponsible for not wanting to save the American astronauts.

Why should it be the responsibility of Russia or China to save them when the Americans insist on taking the risk knowing very well that it is likely to happen? Why should Russia and China be responsible to provide backup rockets to save the Americans when they have nothing to do with the reckless American adventurism?

Whether it is a real emergency or fake emergency, Russia and China must not fall into this American dead trap and accept the responsibility to save the American astronauts. Let them pay for their own folly, arrogance and irresponsibility.

Just imagine them pressuring China all the time to condemn Russia over the Ukraine War, while at the same time they forcibly used heavy handed coercion to scuttle the peace agreement already reached in April between Russia and Ukraine. The war would have ended then.

This is hypocrisy of the highest order, where their evil intention is to prolong the war, but just hypocritically trying to drag China in to condemn Russia and drive a wedge between these two countries. I think the Russians and Chinese knew all the dirty tricks the USA and the West are playing and refused to fall for it.

Russia no longer trust any peace talks that Macron or anyone from the West is trying to forge, knowing that all these postures are basically a waste of time and effort, and are just to put on a show for USA, European and global audiences. Putin has practically lost all respect for Macron that existed initially.

And to put it simply, Russia is in for the long war to grind down the Ukrainians. And the Ukrainians have now been put into the Russian meat grinder and cannot extricate themselves. Yet, they want to fight to the last man for the USA and Nato.

Prying Russia and China apart is the aim, so they can divide and therefore keep ruling for eternity. With Russia and China closing ranks, it is no walk in the park for the USA in any confrontation.

They also have to keep India from making peace with China, while Putin is attempting to do the patching up by inviting India to take part in military exercise, Vostok 2022, together with China.

As India participated, this has rattled the USA.

Liz Truss has been elected with just 57% of votes, the lowest of all past results.

She is going in for a big shock and will be blamed for all the ills done by Boris Johnson.

She will be meeting the Queen. She had, earlier in her career, criticised the necessity for having the Royals in the UK. It will be interesting to see her relations with the Royals going forward. But people like her kind have no sense of shame, undress or not!

Honestly, I am amazed that there are no better person in the UK than these two jokers, just like the USA with those two dinasaurs. One is now a threat to democracy and the other enemy of the state. LOL

The British and USA are actually scraping the bottom. Nobody likes to be their Chiefs at this time. Just like the 4Gs of Sin.

The Americans are so desperate now with NASA embarrassingly failing after failing to launch a rocket to the moon, an act that they claimed to have perfected in the 1960s with backward technology. So they would try to steal from China the needed information to help to send their rocket to the moon.

And in so doing, they would then accuse the Chinese of stealing their secret when they were the ones doing the stealing.

The ugly and treacherous Americans have no shame in blaming others of crimes that they themselves are committing.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization

After 20 years, though it began as an attempt at cooperation between five-Russian led post-Soviet states and an emerging China, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has become a major global institution, representing close to half of the world’s population.

This September 15-16, the annual submit will be held at Samarkand, one of the ancient centers of human civilization. Its priorities include

1) Strengthening the SCO’s capabilities in assuring regional security and stability;

2) Promoting friendship and good-neighborliness;

3) Raising its global profile;

4) Countering threats in the information and ideological spheres;

5) Expanding parliamentary links;

6) Energizing economic interaction;

7) Enhancing connectivity;

8) Intensifying cultural and humanitarian contacts; and

9) Raising the general effectiveness of the organisation and its mechanisms.

NATO’s new strategic concept adopted last June in Madrid describes Russia as the most significant and direct threat, and China – for the first time – as an enemy to Western security, interests and values. As a result, the international community has moved visibly closer to a Cold War division between the two camps in an intensifying rivalry over the World Order.

Moreever, China and India, as well as India and Pakistan, all view one another as major security threats.

Despite such diversity and complexity, the SCO, at the start of its third decade, is not only still in business, but is steadily getting more active and becoming more attractive to others.

In 2001, it started at six; after 2017, the membership expanded to eight, with another 20 countries or so listed as observers, dialogue partners, or in the process of joining. Iran’s inclusion this year is spurring the interest of Turkey and a number of Arab countries, notably the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Qatar.

The SCO community could potentially include much of the Eurasian continent between Belarus and Cambodia.

In fact, the SCO’s lack of a single leader; its consensus-based decision-making procedures; its emphasis on national sovereignty and non-interference is a welcome contrast to the US-dominated NATO or like-minded groups such as the G7.

What can the SCO actually give its members, observers, and partners? The general answer is:

Security in their mutual relations and stability across the continent.

In details, what does membership entails?

1) Membership provides for a means to prevent or manage conflicts. It provides a unique platform for regular high-level contacts between one party and another.

2) Anti-terrorist cooperation is another obvious aspect.

3) Economic development has been a feature of the key areas of SCO cooperation. China’s Belt and Road Initiative has been followed by the North-South corridor linking Russia, Iran, the Arab countries, and India.

4) Peace could be cemented by restoring connectivity within the region and its links to the north and the south. The unraveling of ‘Chimerica’ and the EU-Russia decoupling in the wake of the Ukraine war signal the replacement of globalization with regionalization.

A-Non-Yes-Mouse said...

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization continues:

5) Western economic sanctions imposed on Russia have opened the market wider to Asian and Middle Eastern investments to pour into Russia.

6) A new impetus for Eurasian interaction has been created in the post-Ukraine environment by the seizure by Evil USA of half of Russia’s currency reserves. The central issue here is that of the reliability of the US dollar-based global financial system. Increasingly, national currencies of the SCO member states and observers, such as the Chinese yuan, the Indian rupee, the Turkish lira, the Iranian riel, as well as the Russian ruble are being used in trade between these countries. In parallel, national payment systems of these and other countries are becoming connected, allowing them to conduct transactions directly, rather than through the Evil USA and its Allies. Therein lies the beginning of a new international financial system which is free from diktat by a monstrous hegemonic Evil.

7) The sanctions imposed on Iran, and now on Russia, could in the future be slapped on other nations that find themselves in conflict with the Evil USA.

8) The international system is going through a deep crisis which will take a long time to resolve. While the future of the world order is being decided in the ongoing major power competition, a practical way of altering the situation to better serve the interests of the growing number of autonomous players is through developing organizations such as the SCO – independent, non-hegemonic, and inclusive.

In time to come, the SCO could become a model for the 21st century World Order in the World’s most important freedom of choice!

Don't try shaming them about hacking into China's space program. They are immuned to shame. If a country can openly claim they cheat, lie and steal, what can you make of it?

China is removing all Government offices computers using Windows software to prevent hacking and spying by the USA and the West.

It is a good move. Let them guess all that is happening in China, and by extention Russia, eg how many nuclear missiles, where they are, what are they building etc.
