The Official Visit of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, to the island of Taiwan (which is officially a part of the Overall Chinese Territory since time immemorial), on Tuesday 3 August, 2022, has been an extremely provocative and highly insensitive act of total defiance of the One-China Policy of China. This, for all intents and purposes, must have been fully calculated to instigate and provoke China to act in a certain way that would be in the political and diplomatic interests of Washington. No doubt whatsoever.
As a result, the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) launched a series of live-firing military exercises in six different areas that encircle the whole island of Taiwan.In the mean time, the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs have stopped the import of some products from Taiwan and also ceased the export of natural sand to Taiwan.
Such tough actions initiated by China are a direct response of the PLA showing displeasure to the unprovoked unilateral defiance of the One-China Policy previously agreed upon by both parties. This is a show of force by the PLA, indicating that China is now confident and capable than ever of safeguarding its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, of it will ultimately realise its reunification objectives.
Pelosi's calculated Taiwan visit in her dwindling political carrier, has four reasons:
Firstly, her husband Paul Pelosi, has been arrested and awaiting trial. This is a time for her to get away from her husband, charged for drunkardness and illegal insider trading.
Secondly, she aims to ause the visit to draw attention to her at home and abroad, in order to showcase herself as a "democratic fighter," for the people of Taiwan.
Thirdly, to set the new path of a Cold War against China straight. It is no wonder why 26 of the Conservative Party have voted to support her evil intent.
Fourthly, to send signals to the US' global allies and partners, trying to create a "global pro-Taiwan alliance" as a greater constraint on Chinese mainland's actions toward the Taiwanese secessionists movement.
Pelosi's visit to Taiwan is definitely the result of collusion by domestic pro-Taiwan and anti-China forces in the US. The Biden Administration's inability to act against Pelosi's visit will undermine the results of the future of bilateral relations.
The Taiwan question is the most important, central and sensitive issue in the China-US relationship. The development of bilateral relations would not be possible with the constant and persistent Evil US aggressions.
As such, China must take this God-Send Opportunity to reunite Taiwan at the earliest possible time. Impose the military blockade for as long as possible and whenever possible.
Possibility/probability is a rare commodity now afforded by the Evil USA.
