SINGAPORE: All travellers entering Singapore on vaccinated travel lanes (VTL) will soon have to take COVID-19 tests daily for seven days on arrival as the country tightens measures against the Omicron variant.
This means there will be additional swabs on top of the current
requirement for a pre-departure test, an on-arrival polymerase chain
reaction (PCR) test, as well as supervised antigen rapid tests (ARTs) on
day 3 and day 7 of their visit.
It will remain in place for four weeks "in the first instance" until 11.59pm on Jan 2, 2022, the ministry added.
The additional tests - on days 2, 4, 5 and 6 - are self-administered and will be done using ARTs. Travellers must submit their results online using a link that will be sent to them via their declared contact details. CNA
The above new measures reported in CNA appears like Singapore is doing something about it and this is serious and the additional measures would work. Is it, would it, could it?
Has Singapore got not enough experience of fakes, of foreigners breaking our quarantine laws, SHN in hotels, of cheats, etc etc?
The key assumption in the above additional measures is the foreigners are as daft as Singaporeans and when told to do ART on themselves, by themselves, and submit themselves, they will. Really?
Are we that naive, that trusting, or that gullible? The test are so important and if not done as required, or not reported if test is positive, it would mean the travellers would be going around spreading the virus freely. Where are the checks and controls? No need lah, the foreigners are honest and daft like Singaporeans and would do as told, diligently, unsupervised.

The whole charade of requiring foreign travellers in Singapore to take tests by themselves is only a cosmetic show to tell the dafts and stupid people that the Singapore government is taking action to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus of various variants.
In fact, the contrary is true. Singapore is actually facilitating and promoting the spread of the Delta and Omicron variants, and others, via its Vaccinated Travellers Lanes or Viruses Transferring Lanes (VTL).
Want to lie also must do it properly lah.
