Covid19 measures - Is Singapore becoming a police state?

SINGAPORE: Food and beverage establishments should conduct checks for proof of residence when groups larger than two people dine in, with such checks done through the patrons' NRIC or the Singpass app, said the authorities.

Children who do not have these forms of identification can be allowed entry based on a "declaration" of their place of residence.

The advisory was issued on Wednesday (Nov 10), the first day that fully vaccinated people from the same household can dine out together in groups of up to five.

Implementation of the rule was detailed in a joint advisory issued by Enterprise Singapore, the Housing and Development Board, the Singapore Food Agency, the Singapore Tourism Board and the Urban Redevelopment Authority....

"Strict enforcement actions will be taken against anyone who pretends to be from the same household as well as F&B establishments that do not implement the necessary checks," said the authorities.

Individuals will be fined while F&B establishments will be subject to immediate closures. The penalties will apply even for first-time offenders, they added....

"Emphatic toasting with food or drinks by workers and customers is also disallowed," said the authorities.   CNA

With these kinds of stupidity, how far is Singapore from becoming a police state? No they cannot tell the difference. They keep tightening the noose and never think that it can kill, like boiling the frog. Every little increment is nothing, like transport fares, only a few cents increase, no pain or not painful.

With the imbeciles in charge, anything goes.

Bloomsberg SG Forum hold in sg from 16 to 19 Nov2021.

The daily Covid19 infection number SUDDENLY reduced from daily 3k plus to 2k plus since few days ago.

Many people don't realise this TRICK !

Very observant.

When the testing is not systematic and suka suka test as and when like it, just like Trump said, less testing less cases, no testing no cases.

No one is accusing anyone of not transparent and massaging data anymore as everyone is cheating. When the numbers can be cheated, testing certificates can be forged, the whole thing including VTL is but a farce.

The only country that is serious in their data, fighting and controlling the spread is China. Zero Covid is what they are pursuing and very successful. China also did not fake the data of their vaccines, did not come up with ridiculous numbers like 96% or 89% to have suckers believing in them without wanting to think or question.

Now the story is all about belief, about believing. No one cares if it is true or false as long as it is what they want to believe in.

What does Singapore want to believe in?

1. All the data and claims by American manufacturers are true and their vaccines are indisputably good.

2. American and Indian numbers of infection are true and believeable.

3. All the testing certificates are real, no bluff one.

4. VTL means only people that have been tested and cleared are let in.

5. Its daily reported cases are all that is, no bluff one.

6. Unvaccinated are dangerous.

7. Vaccinated are safe.

Forum: Be socially responsible and get Covid-19 jab

I am 67 years old, and I took my Covid-19 booster jab last Saturday.

All I did was walk into Jalan Besar Community Club, and it was done in less than an hour.

Apart from a slightly sore arm and a day of fatigue, I was up and about after a good rest.

Governments across the globe have been exhorting their people to get vaccinated to cut the chain of infection.

It is baffling to read that many are resisting, some with violence, and some are suing their governments for policies that they deem as infringing on their human rights.

This surely cannot be what the principles of democracy are meant to achieve. What is the point of democracy and human rights when all are dead?

So, I hope all those who are eligible for vaccination will exercise social responsibility and get their jabs.

A steady pace towards a fuller reopening

Decisions announced by the ministerial task force on Monday reflect the long game that Singapore needs to play as it makes the best of regularly changing circumstances that come with the coronavirus pandemic. Some dining concessions will be extended to hawker centres and coffee shops to allow fully vaccinated members of the same household to eat out in groups of up to five by the end of this month. A pilot scheme has been rolled out to ease capacity limits and zoning requirements for specific events, such as the Milken Institute Asia Summit, Bloomberg New Economy Forum and Mandopop star JJ Lin's two-day live concert all taking place this month. From Dec 3, there will be a further easing of restrictions for migrant workers in dormitories by expanding the community visit programme. On the borders front, vaccinated travel lanes (VTLs) will expand to include India, Indonesia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

These are calculated measures on a range of fronts but, taken as a whole, show the contours of a deliberate and hopefully effective plan for Singapore to steadily transit into a Covid-19-resilient nation. How to promote economic and social interaction among Singaporeans is a key concern, particularly among families that were accustomed to visiting restaurants, hawker centres and coffee shops together before Covid-19 struck. Economically, the survivability of these everyday eating places lies at the heart of Singapore's gregarious nature. Foreign workers, whose labour has been crucial in keeping the country going during the pandemic, cannot be expected to be productive if their social lives are circumscribed indefinitely.

International events being staged here attest to the abiding interest that the rest of the world has in connecting with and doing business from Singapore. By the same logic, VTLs help to recover some of the economic vitality that had been lost as a result of the pandemic. Singapore is a hub. It cannot keep out foreign visitors indefinitely without becoming irrelevant ultimately to the travel patterns that are beginning to re-emerge regionally in Asia and globally. Singapore has to readjust its domestic policies continually to keep abreast of what is occurring outside its borders.

Even as these progressive opening-up measures fall into place, the authorities must ensure that the consequences of doing so, some of which are bound to be problematic, do not overwhelm the healthcare system. The prognosis appears to be good. Although greater social interaction could mean more infections, the vaccination programme, including provision of booster shots, will serve as a counteracting force. The calibrated relaxation of measures must continue, but the pace at which a fuller reopening can take place needs to be watched. Given the experiences elsewhere, Singapore's patience is warranted.

Welcome to the blog Soon Leong.

Important thing for the govt is to tell the truth and tell them accurately. The original narrative of getting vaccinated to prevent infection is no longer valid as more and more vaccinated people are getting infected. There are just as many vaccinated and unvaccinated getting infected.

The correct narrative should be get vaccinated to lower the risk of serious illnesses and deaths caused by the virus.

My misgiving, when a vaccine is experimental and approved only for emergency use, the govt should not compel people to just use one particular vaccine that they deemed fit when how good the vaccine is is still waiting to be proven. Give people the options to go for the vaccines approved for use by WHO.

Second misgiving, people with vested interested, financial interest in a vaccine, should not be pushing for the use of a vaccine especially when the particular vaccine has attracted many questions on adverse consequences and long term consequences that have yet to play out.

3rd misgiving, do not discriminate against the unvaccinated. They are not the spreader of the virus. They are not lepers. Many have valid reasons, some medical reasons, not to be vaccinated. Being not vaccinated cannot be a crime.

Do not force on the people to accept a particular vaccine that is only experimental and questionable. Don't play God. Let the people choose what they want to be vaccinated with. It is their bodies and they have a right to choose as long as they are not choosing poison.

What if the experimental vaccine turns out bad further down the road? Anyone can vouch for its safety or in a position to vouch for its safety? At the moment, it is at best a judgement call and yet to be proven to be the right call.

Singapore has the dubious honour of being mentioned when the efficacy of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are called into question and made an example of what living with the virus strategy entails because high infection and mortality rates.

Seems like the more draconian the measures are, the worst the situation is with yesterday 18 deaths from the virus. The proves vaccination may no longer be effective in general and the mRNA vaccines in particular as majority have taken them.

When everyone is vaccinated, all the infected cases would be vaccinated, all the deaths would be vaccinated.

Then they cannot blame the unvaccinated. They can blame underlying medical conditions only.

One can be more forgiving to the gullible as they did not know what they were doing.

Can one accept those that knew they were cheated but continued to go along with the cheats and liars and forced the gullible and innocents to accept the liars and cheats and refuse to call out the cheats and the liars?

The manufacturers of mRNA vaccines that claimed their vaccines had 96% efficacy have been proven wrong, that they lied, they cheated. Why are there still people still wanting to believe in these liars and still buying their products and lies and pushing to the people without bothering to question the quality of the products?

What is the intention and agenda of these people? Are they honest and well meaning or they have different motives for doing so?

Can these people be trusted?

Singapore is already a Police State AND a Military State long ago.

The powers of the State, the Police and the Military know no bounds.

In addition, the unfettered power of the PAP to enact any law at its whims and fancies in the Parliament, owing to its two-thirds majority of seats, has rendered the citizenry completely, totally and hopelessly powerless, voiceless and unable to even to make a protest holding a mere cardboard.

The long, silent and swift tentacles of the laws can reach any loop and corner of Singapore.

Wake Up!

Singapore is not saying that you must have your vaccine jabs. It is saying that you must have the experimental vaccine that they decided for you. Not other vaccines, not Chinese vaccines, but the vaccines that have 96% efficacy. Damn bloody good vaccines.

See how effective these vaccines are in the USA? The infection rate keeps going up, people keep dying. The more they vaccinated, the higher the infection rate. damn, damn good vaccines. 96% efficacy in preventing infection.

Chinese vaccines no good, not effective. See, 0 Covid infection. Ooops, cannot be 0 lah, less than 100. Latest, 22 cases. Damn jialat. Damn lousy Chinese vaccines. That is why not recommended in Singapore.

The Chinese don't know how to brag or lie that their vaccines got more than 96% efficacy. Like dat who wants to dares to recommend Chinese vaccines? Sure recommend 96% efficacy type mah.

Good thinking very important. Better than unthinking or not thinking.

No smoke without fire. There must be some truth in this dangerous adventurism.

All govts must seriously look into this matter, make a thorough study of the vaccines before embarking on this unknown and very dangerous journey. Be absolutely convinced that the vaccines are safe before administering on our children.

Not doing so is criminal and if it turns out bad, it would be too late for apologies and regrets. Do the right thing and be on the cautious side.

There is no need to rush when so many innocent lives are on the chopping block.

Singapore has the most ridiculous rules in the world. Die in two, die in five, die in eight, back to die in five, back to die in two. In the end all die. The food vendors, the hawkers, the customers.

What difference does it make with five fully vaccinated individuals not of the same household? Total loss of mind and warp thinking. First they wanted to discriminate vaccinated from unvaccinated. Now it is segregating friends and neighbours, not based on vaccination status anymore, but on ridiculous ideas taken from nightly wet dreams.

The wicked Devil who is behind all these ridiculous anti-social, anti-unvaxed, anti-Chinese vaccines, anti-old folks and anti-choice flip-flop segregations and extreme discriminations is not the MTF nor the PM.

There is somebody behind the scene that usurped the power, and cunningly and subtly influences the MTF to act.

This wicked, evil, and devilish person must be brought to justice one day.

As the masses are powerless to even seek for justice, therefore, the masses must pray very hard collectively day and night continuously for the evil karma of this Devilissh person to ripen right in front of our eyes.

So that justice is done!

What vaccine did you get? If you had taken the mRNA Pfizer or Moderna pseudo vaccines, then good luck to you.

We do not know the long term effects of the mRNA pseudo vaccines because the two big pharmaceutical companies do not know the long-term effects of their pseudo vaccines either.

What we do know now is that the two companies claims of 95% and 90% efficacy of their pseudo vaccines have turned out to be lies, deceptive and deliberate lies.

The efficacy of Pfizer's pseudo vaccine has been established to be between 18% to 25% only. And that of Moderna is slightly better at around 30% to 40%.

So, there you are. This proves that the two big pharmaceutical companies' words cannot be trusted.

Moreover, they refused to talk about the negative side of their vaccines. They only talk about the benefits outweigh the risks. This must arouse suspicion to people who are sharp and discerning.

If something appears too good to be true, it is too good to be true!

The key word is HOPE. It is hope against hope, against hope.

In other words, keep our fingers crossed.

Everything is just by trials and errors. Nobody is the wiser.

The blind is leading the blind, hoping that everything will turn out well.

But at the same time taking extreme risks by opening up to those countries with the highest risks of Level 4 and high risks of Level 3.

This is called desperate firefighting reactions, not pro-active planning and execution.

How to plan by using hindsight?

At 18-25% or 30-40% efficacy, there are likely to be worse than the Chinese vaccines or no better.

So why are the imbeciles still recommending the use of these vaccines? Money invested, committed, paid, and trying to recover or make some profit from their use? Die die must use or else go to waste?

Oh, did the imbeciles acknowledge that they had been cheated by the lies? Why not? Still believing in 90% and 96% efficacy and refusing to admit their stupidity?

Anonymous said...

Not only are the mRNA vaccines efficacy now in question, those countries that used the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are still recording high infections despite having high vaccinations rates.

Countries like Brazil and Indonesia and some poorer countries of South America that used mostly the Chinese vaccines have recorded falling infection rates lately. What does this tell us about the much touted 96% efficacy of Pfizer and Moderna? They were resorted to using fudged data in their test to con the world, which has now been leaked by insiders.

Ironically, countries that refused to allow Chinese vaccines and followed the dictate of the West have still not woken up to reality. They are still flogging a dead horse.

Co-incidentally, Singapore, with much hyped up vaccination that is the highest in the world, is still unable to contain infections with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. At more than 3400 infections recorded yesterday, this will translate into more than 650,000 infections with India's population of 1.3 billion. This is atrocious!

Luckily Chinese vaccines have just been used in the minority of vaccinations and cannot be scapegoated for the high infections recorded. The underlying medical condition is still a very useful template to be used at present.

If one still refuses to accept the fact that mRNA vaccines are failing, ineffective in the USA, then look at Singapore. Singapore is the perfect example of a country that used mainly mRNA vaccines. And look at the surge of infection and deaths in the island and if you still cannot see the truth, then one is as good as blind.

Singapore is a test case, with more than 90% of its population vaccinated, and if they dare to go ahead with vaccinating children, Singapore would be as good as nearly 100% vaccinated with mRNA vaccines.

Singapore will eventually be used as a case study in all the medical schools to confirm that mRNA vaccines are ineffective pseudo vaccines not worth a cent. Give it a few more months for the final nail to go into the coffin. By then no one can deny the data that proved the ineffectiveness of mRNA vaccines.

Just wait for the truth to surface. It would not take long.

Corrected version:

The stubborn imbeciles, thinking that they themselves are smart, are now finding it impossible to fool the daft and meek Sinkie voters. All their words are like double-heaaded coins, and double-tongued snakes. Head they win, tail we lose.

How to trust these double-headed and fork-tongue, stubborn imbeciles?
