Covid19 - Hong Kong steps up isolation measures to the dismay of 'lepers'

AFP spoke to six senior managers at international companies to gauge whether - as one banking lobby group warned last week - Hong Kong's long-term viability as a business hub is at risk.

Hong Kong and China continue to impose strict control of 'lepers' ie Covid diseased visitors into the country to the dismay of the 'lepers' around the world. China's policy of zero Covid, achieved after very tough measures and self denials and sacrifices, is an outstanding example of successful control of the virus. Having done that, China would not give up and relax and allow the 'lepers' of the world to bring the virus to infect the Chinese people.

The strict movement measures have made 'lepers' that are living with the virus in their bodies very unhappy and starting to spread lies and ills about how Hong Kong would miss out in the world economy by not allowing the 'lepers' in. They are spreading the usual white lies that Hong Kong would lose out as a business hub to other 'leper' competitors.

Unfortunately these lies would not work as real businesses would go on with or without the travel restriction measures. Anyone wanting to do business has to go to China where the action is. Opening up does not guarantee more business but increasing the risk of spreading the virus, something that China would not allow to happen inside China.

As the 'lepers' took refuge in their virus infected countries and pretending to be happy with the infection and the deaths in their midst, they would want China to share their misery as the new normal. How long would this pandemic continues, how damaging would be the virus on the reckless and irresponsible opening up of countries, exposing the people to the virus, are yet to be seen. The virus is not going to stop at Delta variant and more infectious and deadly variants can be expected to pop up.

In a way this is nature's way of reducing the world's population with a substantial number of people willing to accept that dying due to the virus is a way of life. 10 years, 50 years or further down the road, the choice of living with the virus versus the choice of not living with the virus will take its toll on the population of the world. Who would come up better from these decisions only time will tell.

The world is likely to be divided between the 'lepers' colonies and the non lepers living in their respective worlds. And business would go on as usual. The lepers would like the non lepers to be diseased like lepers but not the other way round.

China and Greater China are big enough a bubble for the Chinese to live their own way of life, free from the virus, going about their lives without masks or regular jabs of half past six vaccines, very low infection and very few deaths caused by the virus. Which is a better and normal way of life?

China is not interested in Singapore's opening up of VTL (Virus Travel Lanes) to allow infected vaccinated persons to carry the new variants of the coronavirus (which may be mutating in their mRNA pseudo vaccines-weakened bodies, with no symptoms to alert themselves nor the immigration authorities) into China and infect the Chinese people.

The ART testings on arrival are useless because the disease would only manifest many days later, after the "lepers" have already entered the country.

The ART tests cannot detect any infection if the virus is still dormant inside the body in the mean time, i.e. the virus loads have not become significantly detectable yet.

The folly of the Singapore's "self-claimed "World Best Talibans, oops Talents has been exposed very clearly for the whole world to see. They do not deserve even 10% of their present $Millionaire Salary!

Beijing is wary of Americans and allies transporting the virus to China via Singapore to sabotage China.

The Americans are trying very hard to smuggle the virus into China. China is keeping a close watch in every entry points. All visitors under quarantine for 3 weeks on entry before allowed to go free inside China.

Already there is evidence that at least two travellers from Singapore to China had carried the Deadly Indian Delta Variant to China.

Perhaps, Indian business travellers transitted through Singapore or Singapore business residents visiting China?

Whatever the case may be, the fact is the Delta Variant has ented China from Singapore.

Here in Red Dot, much has been said by the MOH of the strain on ICUs, hospital beds, health care manpower needs, doctors and nurses resigning and the problem of trying to engage new workers, all of which are creating unease among the population.

Why not just make vaccination compulsory, once and for all, to ease the situation, since vaccination is touted to prevent complications from arising when people do get infected. Hospitals, ICUs and healthcare manpower problems will be eased overnight.

Isn't this step of mandatory vaccination not as simple as, say, taking care of Little India's alcohol misuse problem that had island wide effect, or the no smoking law, all just with a simple stroke of the pen. COVID is in fact more important an issue than these two examples.

Or is there something more to the eye, which we are not supposed to know?

The probability of severe and dangerous long-term effects of the mRNA vaccines are still unknown.

I believe that Singapore's government is smart enough not to commit to long-term liabilities which may result from making Vaccination Compulsory. As it is, the VOLUNTARY Scheme has already achieved a 83% of fully vaccinated.

The various producers of these vaccines are only interested to make haste while the Sun shines, by cashing in while the world is still in a daze and world political players are in a desperate state. They have not waited for long-term trials results to surface, before marketing their products. This is a big deviation from ethically established practices in the research and production of vaccines.

With many countries unwilling to follow China’s Zero Tolerance strategy of dealing with COVID-19 spreading, another opportunity comes again for the suppliers of the vaccines to make even more money by recommending 3rd booster and 4th booster shots. And probably more shots every six months until end of lifespan - probably prematurely due to the continuous intake of vaccines that weaken or damage all the organs in the body.

In the end, if this is Divine Intervention, the continuous mutations of this particular Covid and the continuous injections of foreign substances into our body, mankind may be wiped out. Perhaps, leaving behind only the Chinese in China and those who refused to be guinea pigs of the Collossal Vaccines Experiment worldwide?

That puts me thinking about the Climate change meeting trying to stop temperature rise affecting mankind's survival going forward.

Important as it may be, what about countries hammering on this issue while discreetly keep stockpiling nuclear weapons, thousands and thousands of them. Isn't this a much more apparent threat? And the UK itself openly touted that they are increasing their stockpile of nuclear weapons and Australia being asked to nuclearize as well, all to counter China. Did the rest of the world say anything?

Knowing that China depends much on coal, ever wonder why they are targeting coal, not oil? What about pollution and heat generated by other sources like airconditioning units and vehicles. Stand behind a condenser unit and you will realise how much heat is generated. Anyway, China will be crippled without coal.

The Whites are smart, shifting production overseas and indirectly causing pollution, but pushing the blame to others. Big conglomerates like Pepsi Cola are churning out billions of plastic bottles all over the world, even deep inside Africa. The West even tried exporting their waste to others, with them bearing the tarnishing image of polluting.

Without anyone now taking those waste in, they probably are just dumping some of them into the ocean. There is a plastic island of enormous size bobbling in the Atlantic Ocean. Certainly not China's fault as China is on the other side of the planet. Even poo in the ocean comes from the Chinese ships they claimed, and they could know that just from satellite images.

China just discovered the biggest coal reserves in north west China, bigger than what it needs to import from Australia. It is terminating all imports of coal from Australia.

Now see who is going to buy coal from Australia. Maybe they can sell coal to Singapore's claypot restaurants.

Chinese scientists breakthrough could produce large quantities of animal feed from industrial gas, reduce dependence on soybean imports

China’s scientists say they have found a way to create animal feed from carbon monoxide on an industrial scale – a breakthrough that could help reduce the country’s dependence on imported soybeans.

The process uses tail gas containing carbon monoxide and dioxide – a by-product of industrial processes such as oil refining – to created a synthesised cell protein called Clostridium autoethanogenum, according to the research team from Beijing Shoulang Biological Technology and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences’ Feed Research Institute.

According to the team, the gases go through a series of processes including fermentation, oxidation, distillation and dehydration that converts the nitrogen and carbon into organic material.

Scientists have already known that protein could be produced this way, but the Chinese team said the speed and efficiency of their process would make it possible to do so on an industrial scale.

The natural synthesis of proteins usually takes place in plants or in specific microorganisms of plants, which requires natural photosynthesis and a series of complex biological processes.

But the process is slow and inefficient, resulting in a low protein content. However, the Chinese scientists say their new process can overcome these barriers and produce a high-protein material in just 22 seconds.

According to the official publication Science and Technology Daily and Agri.cn, a website affiliated with the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs, they already had the capacity to produce tens of thousands of tonnes a year.

Dai Xiaofeng, head of the feed research institute, said that the achievement would transform the traditional production of natural proteins and “not only provides a sharp weapon for the soybean protein feed industry, but also for the zero-emission of greenhouse gases and greener industrial process”, he told Agri.cn.

If China could industrially produce 10 million tons of Clostridium autoethanogenum cell protein a year with the new technology, it would be equivalent to 28 million tons of imported soybeans, according to Xue Min, researcher at the CAAS and the chief scientist of the research team.

China has, for centuries, been the prime innovation centre of the world. The Westerners visited China in the early days and stole many new technologies from China. The process of producing silk and porcelain, and the production of gun-powder and refined paper were just a few examples of new technologies to the Westerners. So, they stole the intellectual properties of China and the Chinese People and got away with it.

Today, the Westerners turned around and accuse China of stealing their new technologies.

The Japanese too did the same. Even the Japanese feudal system and language, both written and spoken, has great similarities with the Chinese language.

Nevertheless, given the huge population of China, just 1% of people are highly educated, highly trained and highly intelligent and innovative today, the permutations of new discovery and new invention are considerably immense.

From here onwards, Chinese inventions are going to dominate the world of Agriculture, Architecture, Engineering, Medicine, Science, Technology, Transportation, etc.

Once China starts on her way of progress forward for the sake of her huge population, it means the rest of the world are going to benefit too. There is no turning back. No matter how or what the Westerners are doing to sabotage China's progress, there is no turning back the clock.

Let the Dragon sleeps. For when she is awake, she will shake the World.

Now that the Dragon has awakened, she is very hungry. She is turning and moving. She is searching. She is flying. At times, she throws out fire from its mouth, strikes with her skillful and hardy claws and whacks with her long powerful thorny tail.

Singapore has tasted a little bit of her pee. Yet Singapore has not learnt any lesson. It is a pity.

"Singapore has tasted a little bit of her pee. Yet Singapore has not learnt any lesson. It is a pity. "

Indeed Singapore has great infrastructure but wrong foundation, culture and mindset, as everything here is based on monetary, short-term gain rather than long-term, form over substance. All the cure for all these follies ? Mass import of foreigners and technologies.

I may not disagree with censorship, strict political control of China but I can't deny that why China has been successful is because they are builders and problem solvers by nature due to the fact that China is a large country with large challenges, natural disasters (earthquake, flood, ), and they pretty adamant to become self-contain country given the political turmoil. Best of all, everything in the world are dominated by China products (just check your expensive Apple product's country of manufacture), be it high tech and low tech. The world depend on China, and not the other way, such is the genius of China, thus China will survive, whereas country that depend on the world more will die a quick natural death.

On the contrast, Singapore try to depend so much on external countries (foreigners, tech, infrastructure, materials etc) that when covid strike, suddenly they start peeing. Unfortunately Singapore government is so incapable of learning but wayang, by given NATO, and true to its form, return to back to the old ways when they realize that foreigners is still the easiest way out. Instead of going forward and set new path, Singapore goes backward to same usual way because it is less risky.

So so many advantages of been nimble, having docile population, stability, infrastructure, no natural disasters, have headstart of 3 decades (where back then other countries were having internal civil war and turmoil) it is textbook material why Singapore couldn't leverage that, and one word to describe this: Complacency and incompetency of the highest level of world's most expensive government and party.

Unfortunately thing will not change for the better for sinkies, just prepare for the worst.

China's large reserves of thorium enough to meet country’s energy needs for at least 20,000 years

A team of government researchers in China have unveiled the design for a commercial nuclear reactor that is expected to be the first in the world that does not need water for cooling, allowing the systems to be built in remote desert regions to provide power for more densely populated areas.

The molten salt reactor, which is powered by liquid thorium rather than uranium, should also be safer than traditional ones because in the event of a leak, the molten thorium would cool and solidify quickly, dispersing less radiation into the environment. Construction work on the first commercial reactor should be completed by 2030 and the government plans to build several in the deserts and plains of central and western China.

China may also consider building these reactors for some countries that have signed up to the Belt and Road Initiative because, unlike uranium, thorium cannot be used to make nuclear weapons.

"They can play a key role in the future transition to clean energy. It is expected that small-scale reactors will be widely deployed in the next few years,” Professor Yan Rui and colleagues at the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics wrote in a paper published in the Chinese journal Nuclear Techniques. “A molten salt reactor has the advantage of being multipurpose, small in size and highly flexible. It is as easy to design as a small-scale reactor."

An important drive for the molten salt reactor programme came from President Xi Jinping’s announcement last year that China would become carbon neutral by 2060 , according to scientists involved in the project. According to the official plan, reactors in the sparsely populated west of the country will provide a clean, stable electricity supply to the densely populated east in combination with wind and solar power plants. The technology could also provide a new energy source for Chinese warships such as aircraft carriers and submarines.

It is safer than traditional nuclear technology because in the event of an accident the molten salt will fall into an underground container. Due to its high melting point … the molten salt will quickly cool and solidify without the direct release of solid and liquid effluents, thus preventing the further diffusion of radioactivity into the environment.

Another part of the appeal for China is that it has some of the world’s largest reserves of thorium, a silvery metal with weak radioactivity. By some calculations it has enough to meet the country’s energy needs for at least 20,000 years.

Unfortunately the savage countries would not want to use this technology as their main purpose to use uranium based nuclear plants is to produce nuclear weapons to destroy other countries. Evil countries like the USA, Japan, India, Israel, UK, France etc, only think of nuclear weapons for wars.
