Delta Variant Spreading Across The World Like Wildfire - Part 1: Iran

Iran’s health minister has called for two weeks of lockdowns to be enforced by the armed forces and the law enforcement officers, so as to curb the alarmingly speedt rise of COVID-19 cases across the country.

Iran is entering the 5th wave of coronavirus infections. This time it is dominated by the virulent Delta variant and is expected to be even more catastrophic and irreversible if nothing is done. The health care system is at it breaking point. Even if the country does not run out of hospital beds, it will run out of healthcare professionals, staffs and workers.

“Even though they are vaccinated, my co-workers are all becoming sick due to long bouts of sleeplessness and stress,” said the health minister.

“The pressure is so high that I’m worried even this plan won’t be enough, unless we reduce the exponential load of illnesses through quick preventive measures and boosting adherence to health protocols,” he wrote in a letter he has sent to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The heads of 65 medical universities and faculties across the country also called for a lockdown in a letter to outgoing President Hassan Rouhani last week.

More than 3.9 million cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Iran since February 2020 and more than 91,000 people have lost their lives in what has long been the deadliest pandemic of the Middle East.

Iran's health ministry said 366 more Iranians died on Sunday. The death rate has surged by 38 percent compared with a week earlier.

More than 32,500 newly infected l cases were reported on Sunday. This shows a 32 percent increase compared with a week before.

Iran has introduced numerous temporary lockdowns and shutdowns across the country since the pandemic began, but most have not been strictly enforced.

The lockdowns are pointless because most businesses do not closed down and travel restrictions have been flouted amid low enforcement of safety measures.

The situation is getting worse but it has yet reach its peak.

Iran's national Anti-Coronavirus Task Force (ACTF), said on Saturday that 29 of Iran’s 31 provinces are now in the throes of the Delta variant and hospital beds are quickly being filled".

Hundreds of cities across the country are now classified “RED”, denoting the severity of the outbreaks.

The ACTF also said that adherence to health protocols requiring the use of face masks and observing physical distancing has dropped to below 40% across the country, against a backdrop of above 70% less than two months ago.

Apart from other difficulties, implementing a forced two-week lockdown across the country is sure to prove challenging for Iranian authorities as people and businesses are under immense economic pressure due to decades of US sanctions and poor economic performance.

In an economy marked by 40% inflation and high unemployment, many small businesses have been unable to close down their shops even for a few days.

A country of more than 83 million people, Iran has so far been able to vaccinate only about 10 million people, due to vaccines shortage. The other 73 million people have been living with the coronavirus for the last one and a half years already. Singaporeans who wish to live with the coronavirus should emigrate to Iran. I am sure the coronavirus there would welcome them with open arms and spikes.

The road ahead seems very dark not only for Iran but also for many other countries in the world. Dying with the coronavirus or with the mRNA vaccines seems to be the norm, going forward.

Living with the coronavirus includes suffering and dying with the coronavirus.

The rich millionaire ministers will protect themselves, using their maids and bodyguards to do the dirty work for them, while they lavish and enjoy their life oblivious to what is happening outside their ivory-tower enclaves.

There were eight new Covid-19 clusters in Singapore on Tuesday (Aug 2), six of which are linked to different individuals.

Two other clusters were linked to Changi General Hospital and Kian Hiap Construction.

The Ministry of Health added that there are 37 patients who require oxygen support to help them breathe, with seven more in critical condition.

Most of these cases are partially vaccinated and some are fully vaccinated.

In all, Singapore recorded 102 new locally transmitted Covid-19 infected cases yesterday. There were also 4 happily and purposely imported new cases yesterday. Singapore cannot do without such imported cases; otherwise life will be very dull.

More than a hundred clusters, daily more than 100 new cases and they said it is time to remove some restrictions.

And they went hysterical when China has less than 100 cases daily in the whole of China. And China is locking down many cities and vaccinating millions to control the spread.

Who is having a more serious problem?

Meanwhile USA's infection is rising rapidly. No surprise about that. Wonder what waves are they riding on now? Hard to keep track of the waves for so many countries. Some on third, some now on fifth. Where will this end?

Another variant - Lambda is on the rise and is said to be able to bypass the vaccines. It has not shown it's danger yet, just waiting for the Indian Delta Variant to run it's course.

The vaccinated are more dangerous than the not vaccinated as a silent carrier of the virus. Vaccinated people mostly do not have symptoms when they get infected. They don't even know that they have been infected. So they just go around without mask and infect others.

The 1918 Spanish flu pandemic killed between 20 million to 50 million people and lasted for more than two years.

Then there were no virulent mutations to complicate the fight. Now, it is one variant after another rising from the unknown. Medical science probably was not that advance then compared to today, thus resulting in such vast numbers of fatalities.

But the spread and ferocity of the COVID virus mutation today is worrying and this may prolong the pandemic. With vaccination losing it's edge, who is to know what monster virus is going to arise that will kill even more than the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic. It is worrying indeed!

The cure could be more dangerous that the disease.

How dangerous is mRNA is still a work in progress.

Many are ignoring this threat to human civilisation.

The way the imbeciles reacted to Covid19 cases is a joke. It is not about how serious is the situation but about how the countries reaction to the infection.

For instance, Chinese cases are even lesser than in Singapore, but because China reacted firmly to the cases with very strong measures, the imbeciles also reacted with very strong measures against Chinese people coming here.

On the other hand, US, UK and India are basket cases with thousands of infections, tens of thousands, daily and the number of daily death are even more than daily infections in China, but because they treated their basket situation as their new normal and did not bother to do much, they are let in freely than the Chinese.

More control measures against countries that have lesser infection cases but less control measures for people from basket case countries.

If China has 10% of cases of India or the US, they would probably put a total ban on Chinese coming here.

All those countries playing around with lockdowns on and off like a electrical switch are now finding themselves in serious trouble.

The West placed so much emphasis on upholding human rights that their leaders are powerless to stamp down on measures to really stop the spread. Look at all the protest going on in Europe and the USA against lockdowns. This is going to be ugly when the Indian Delta Variant runs out of control, which is already happening in the USA.

The USA thought they are exceptional and could not be touched, but the virus isn't listening.

India Gang Rape and Murder Of 9 Year-Old Girl By Hindu Priests.

Protests outside the crematorium are demanding the death penalty for the accused. This is not the first time.

Protests are continuing for the fourth day over the alleged gang rape, murder and forced cremation of a nine-year-old girl in the Indian capital, Delhi.

The girl's parents have accused a Hindu priest and three others of attacking her when she had gone to fetch drinking water from the crematorium's cooler.

Her mother said the gates were shut and she was threatened when she objected to her daughter's cremation.

Police have registered a case of gang rape and murder and arrested the men involved in the gang rape and forced cremation of the girl's body to destroy evidence.

Such gang rape of young innocent girls of the lowest caste by criminals of the higher caste are rampant and frequent in India, especially in remote places. Many of the incidents have gone unreported or covered up by the authorities, the police or corrupt judges.

The opportunistic, usurper of power, Malaysian PM Muhyiddin Yassin is facing mounting pressure to quit but he still insists on staying on.

A motion of no-confidence vote in parliament is re-scheduled to September, previously to be held in August but was cancelled because several MPs were infected with Covid-19, an excuse to delay the vote of no confidence.

Yassin's political gambling fortune has been tumbling across the country after the Malaysian King rebuked his administration for misleading Parliament and thousands of people staged a rare anti-government protest last weekend.

The latest blow to his political fortune came when several UMNO members publicly pulled out their support for him. In addition, one of his Cabinet Ministers has resigned.

The withdrawal of UMNO support means Yassin no longer commands a majority in Parliament.

Yassin met with the King last night and tried to convince the King that he still commands the majority support in Parliament.

However, the King indicated that the confidence vote scheduled for September should still go on.

Muhyiddin is finished.

Even if he can come out with some more deceptive tactics, the King is not going to believe him on face value. Once bitten, twice shy.

Deceiving the King by misleading the Parliament is a very severe criminal offence.
