The world just found out that China can make high quality products, depending on what big names are willing to pay for quality materials. Not everything made in China is junk or cheap stuff. Cheap does not always mean poor quality, but consumers must temper expectations and do not expect quality and paying pittance. No business savvy people are stupid enough to make stuff to suffer a loss. Might as well close shop.

Having said that, if everything that China made is equated with junk stuff, let me talk about iPhones. Apple makes the bulk of its iPhones in China since its astounding rise, and the whole world had confidence in its quality, and no one is complaining about iPhones being made to resemble junks. The only complaint I come across was and still is, centers on Apple's innovation being not at the forefront to compete better against other brands that have more features and are very much cheaper. They do expect Apple to be ahead of the curve, not just on par. If Apple were to make its iPhones in the USA, they will have to sell them at two to three times what the Apple factory in China can turn out.

Besides Apple, we know that global top of the line handbag brands making products in China cannot be junks as well, if they can be sold for $30,000. So, what is the truth? The truth is you pay for what quality you want, and the Chinese will use the corresponding quality materials to make the products. True, the Chinese can make cheap products, but they also made the best products there were, the best products there are and the best products they can still make for years to come.
