Europe is now a rabid dog, according to Scott Ritter

If ASEAN wants to follow Europe to counter China, it is a fatal mistake. What are friends of the USA for anyway. The USA has no interest in ASEAN other than to cultivate ASEAN to counter China. This is the same logic as cultivating Europe to counter Russia. Friends and allies of the USA, they called themselves, but just sacrificial lambs to the slaughter.

Now, just look at the state of Europe's economy today. The cutting off of Russian cheap energy and pivoting to buy from USA was a disaster for Europe. Now Europe is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Russia no longer trusts Europe over its action in Ukraine. Europe can no longer hope for Russia to supply cheap energy for its industries. That is all going Eastward. Everything is falling apart.

The irony is that after sacrificing so much for the USA's interest in Europe, the Europeans are again falling for another fatal mistake trying to help the USA put down China, all at the behest of the USA. Mistakes are never learnt. Not when the same leaders are leading Europe. It is really staggering that Europe has fallen so fast and so badly under leaders like Ursula Van der Leyen, Friedrich Merz, and the mother of all joke, Kaya Kallas. All of them seems to be cast from the very same mould.
