Indonesia used to be fiercely independent and a leader of the Nonaligned Movement

JAKARTA: Indonesia’s plan to turn its underutilised Kertajati International Airport in Majalengka, West Java, into a regional maintenance hub for Hercules military aircraft at the United States government’s request could bring economic benefits for the country, say analysts.

But they also warn that the plan triggers questions on whether it would draw Indonesia closer to the US’ military architecture in the Indo-Pacific, which could be at odds with Jakarta's long-standing stance of free and active foreign policy and non-alignment. CNA

The Americans just throw a few pieces of crumb and the hungry third world countries will scramble for it, forgetting who they were, forgetting about who colonised them and who would terrorist them. For a few dollars, and a few sweet words, the Indonesian leaders are all stumbling and falling in love with the Americans, probably would offer some land for American bases in Indonesia.

The proud Indonesian people, once the stalwarts of the Nonaligned Movement under Sukarno, are still the same proud Indonesians that cherished their independence and neutrality in international affairs. But some corners of Indonesia still harbour some nests of people that are still romantising being colony of the white men. White men are white gods. They will crawl to want to kiss the ass of white men. They will be easily swept away by the the lies and sweet words of white men.

Just hope Indonesia will not be another ASEAN state to become crony of the American Empire, or be like the Philippines, offered free Pinoy land to the Americans, to be administered by the Americans under American laws, not Pinoy laws. Hope Indonesia will not send their Indonesian boys and girls to fight the Iranians on the side of the Americans and the Israelis. Hope Indonesia will not be seduced by the Americans to want to collect tolls for ships in the Straits of Malacca with tacit support from the American terrorists.

The Americans are very good at throwing a bone to the hungry and unthinking, that think only of little short term benefits but forgot about the long term, the big picture. The Arab and Muslim countries have had enough of American control and manipulations and are distancing themselves away from the American terrorists.  Would Indonesia be the new eager beaver that will jump to embrace the American terrorists and invite them into the region?

After waiting outside the door in Washington, this may be a good chance to be invited to the White House for tea. A facility to repair military aircraft is the first step to a military presence with American soldiers and CIA operators..
