Daxing International Airport - Building a new China

China's Daxing Airport, a fine example of what's more to come from China as it leapfrogged over ageing America and Europe. For decades, America and Europe were the modern cities and skyscrapers of the world. Today modern cities, super highways and super infrastructures are in Chinese cities. The rejuvenation and transformation of an ancient civilisation is taking place in breaknecking speed.

Some parts of old China would be preserved, like the Forbidden City of the Emperors, and selected towns or districts. But a new and futuristic China is emerging from the ashes of antiquity. China not only has the resources and funds, but also the expertise to do the necessary to improve the lives of its people. 5G is standard in all Chinese cities. Very affdordable high speed trains are everywhere.

You want to see the future, go to China. EV cars, driveless cars, IOTs, cashless transactions, trains travelling at the speed of airplanes, etc etc are common features of the Chinese landscape as the population embrace a new tomorrow. China is the shining light of the East.

This is going to make some people jealous.

Serpentza is going to call them as 'garbage'. WION is going to say they will collapse soon. Indians will be unhappy to see all that. The Indians will come out with more ridiculous and hilarious counter claims. How could China be doing better than a superpower wannabe?

The India media is still telling the Indians that China is a backward country, more backward than India. The cities are all looking like slums with broken and old houses. And if they are travelling to China, they must bring along all the essentials like tooth brushes, mugs and instant food as these are not available and cannot buy from the streets.

There are many jokes about Indians visiting China.

One was about an Indian woman who took a trip on a high speed train. When she boarded one, and the train started to move, she asked whether at that speed was that what a HSR train feels like. The next moment, as the train picked up speed on leaving the station, she fell backwards due to the accelerating speed of the train. She found out what a HSR train feels like soon enough.

Another was also about an India woman visiting China and boasting and showing what her India made mobile phone could do, and asking the Chinese whether they have phones like hers in China. The Chinese showed her an even more up to date phone and she had nothing else to boast about afterwards.

Trying to brandish a broadsword in front of Kuan Yu is going to be a sure way to get demolished.
