High cost of living reveals how stupid politicians can be

Buttigieg suggested that people who are currently struggling to pay over $5 per gallon of gas could offset their “pain” by purchasing an EV instead, the average price of which is over $65,000 according to automotive research company Kelly Blue Book. RT

This Buttigieg was a candidate for the Presidency but lost to Biden. Not sure Biden is more stupid or this Buttigieg.  In his statement he said he said anyone struggling to pay over $5 per gallon of gas should go buy a EV to save cost. Who cares about paying $5 per gallon for gas if he could splurge on a $65k EV? Was Buttigieg thinking, was he logical?

The Americans are so lucky that he is not their elected president. Well, it does not make much difference with Biden in charge. The Americans are scrapping the bottom of the barrel when the best man or woman available were Buttigieg, Trump, Biden, Kamala or maybe Pelosi. The Brits can sing, God Save the Queen, what can the Americans sing? God, please have mercy on the Americans.

And at the national level they are threatening China when China is providing them with cheap and good products to stretch their dollars, especially the American poor, oops, I mean middle class.  China is not only writing the paycheck for the Americans, but also helping them to lower the cost of living. And they got the stupidity to be quarreling with China, raising tariffs and tension with China?

The same applies to the political leaders in Europe. Russia may not be their paymaster, but Russia is their main supplier of cheap oil and gas and also many other essential goods and products. How could they be so stupid to want to start a war with Russia, to threaten Russia and ended up paying more for everything?

These politicians cannot be stupid. They must be insane. Need to send them to the shrinks.

Oh, they are pinning all hopes on Zelensky to defeat Russia when Napoleon and Hitler could not do it with bigger and better trained soldiers and weapons.

Rumour has it that buying a new EV is cheaper than replacing your old EV car battery..

$5 a gallon is still a steal to the price in Singapore. I read Sri Lankan crisis is.party caused by the highest fuel lrice for years, which is about US$1.80 a litre.
Singapore motorists would be in heaven with that price.

You never realise how stupid some Politicians can be, until they start opening their big mouths.

Now the talk is that Putin is resuming gas flows through NORD Stream 1 to Germany, at 40% of normal flow, that is. I could not help noticing that they called this restored flow as 'usable' gas. The hidden mystery is that Putin is giving them just enough daily 'usable' gas rather then providing them with 'stockpilable' gas for the coming winter. Putin is not foolish enough to play into their hands.

And the Europeans are spinning this around by saying that Russia still needs the European market, otherwise they cannot sell his excess gas elsewhere to generate more revenue. What part of the galaxy are these people living on? Russia is already raking in more money from the high gas and oil prices than even before the Ukraine War, with China and India soaking up their production excesses, so why the need to push out more gas to Europe?

Moreover, the EU is demanding that Russia caps oil prices at US$70 a barrel (?) and to be paid in Euros or they will stop buying Russian oil. Russia hits back by telling the EU that at US$70 a barrel they will not sell, as it is 'unprofitable' (with regard to unfriendly countries I assume). Right now friendly countries like China and India are snapping up Russian oil at deep discounts, said to be US$30 to 40 per barrel and the unfriendly EU probably wants it at that price too. They hope to squeeze Russia with this suggestion. Let us see who will blink first.

Now the Europeans are trying to, presumably, scare Putin by telling the world they are constructing LNG terminals all over Germany and Europe to prepare for LNG shipments from the USA. Who, by the way, are now constructing all those LNG carriers to carry all the LNG from USA to Europe and how long will such construction take? 2 to 3 years is the estimate.

Assuming that all this can be done unobstructed and in good time, the biggest problem is still at what price are the Germans and Europeans going to pay for the LNG gas. It will be, as some have estimated, at least 5 times the price of Russian pipeline gas. Can German industries survive at that price? Just curious and asking!

No doubt that the Last Queen of England lives a long and opulent life.
Though mire in some unfortunate
Familial Affairs in the Royal Family, by and large the Royal Family has enjoy its existence.
But,
no matter how powerful and divine the Imaginary is, it is not able to stop the Queen and her Ancestors from aging and dying.
The Final Curtain will close soon for the Royal Family as well as her Kingdom.
Well,
it is destined as there is no Queen-dom ever in history.

Buttigieg is brilliant. His logical thinking process has reached Masterclass level only attainable by Pap politicians.

They say that in the USA, the only qualifications needed to be a political leader or diplomat is 'stupidity'. Wonder whether this is true? But looking and listening to Biden and Buttigieg, I am beginning to wonder even more. LOL.

Not only that, these idiots would strut around pretending to be experts in everything, knows all. And better still, they do not need any training or upgrading courses to improve their knowledge and skills in anything.

They are like all knowing Gods.

Like everywhere else, in the land of the blind, the 'stupidity' endowed can still be king.

I just wonder, with all the so-called opportunities and advancements in education compared to the past, going blind voluntarily does little to take advantage of such educational opportunities to raise critical thinking.

And yet the cost of such an education reaches for the sky. What a waste! What a pity!
