Since 1957 Nobusuke Kishi had plans to change the Pacifist constitution which forbids Japan from rearming and going to war again. He wanted to delete Article 9 which clearly states that Japan would not be allowed to rearm the military and its army will not be allowed to be involved in overseas wars. But Kishi wanted to rearm and rebuild the army to the status of the Meiji Era's imperial military power status. Though he failed to garner enough support to change the constitution he had left his legacy of reviving Japanese militarism to future Japanese generations. In fact his grandson Abe and present Jap PM Fumio Kishida and his cabinet are strong supporters for changing the Japanese Pacifist constitution. It seems the despicable Americans are closing their eyes to this matter as they hope to get Japanese support in their strategic competition against Russia and China. The evil Americans and the Japs are really playing with fire not knowing they will be destroying themselves eventually.

Japan and Israel may have nuclear weapons, but can they withstand a retaliatory strike given their size?
Israel by itself dared not attack Iran's nuclear facilities, just intent on carrying out cyber attacks. They and the USA have been posturing for such a mission to take out Iran's nuclear facilities, but have not done so. The reason is that Iran, together with other Middle East states like Palestine, will rain missiles all over the whole of Israel to rip it apart.
The Iron Dome has really not been tested to the extreme, just theoretical assumption that it can stop all missiles. That myth has been destroyed by recent rocket attacks by Palestinians, using just crude home made rockets to disorientate the system, while giving opportunities for real destructive missiles that can destroy important targets tp get through. Israel was realistically nervous during last year's rocket attacks by Palestinians, fearing that one missile might just hit their nuclear power station. That would be catastrophic for such a small country.
Japan may have survived two nuclear bombs before, but one direct hit on Tokyo is all it takes with today's nuclear bombs that are multiple times more deadly.
